March 3, 2009:

It's official.  I'm over it.

Yup, pregnancy has gotten to me, and I'm officially over it.  I feel crappy today.  My belly feels like it's been kicked and punched (from the outside) and my boobs are killing me.  I think a nap would really help right now, but there aren't any beds at work.  Bummer.

Well, on the brightside, in nine days I find out if this little boy is in position.  And I'm also hoping that these annoying contractions are (at the very least) thinning my cervix.  Dilatation would be ideal.  :)

9 days... 9 days... I find it easier to set short-term goals, it helps keep you sane... 9 days...

;-)

February 24, 2009:

Went to the doctor yesterday, gained 2 pounds in 2 weeks... which at this point is perfect.  I'm scheduled for a sonogram in two weeks to see if the baby has turned into a head-down position, and to check his size.

Took some pictures yesterday... here is my favorite:

I feel that each day gets harder and harder physically.  Nights are getting to be almost unbearable.  Only about 4 more weeks before he is here... or less!  I do get the occassional practice contraction, aside from my regular Braxton Hicks contractions.

February 20, 2009:

At last week's doctors appointment (32 weeks) I was told that Alessio was sitting in a complete breech, which was really depressing because I don't want to have a c-section.  So, I did the hormonal thing and cried for about 5 minutes, and then did the techie thing and researched as much as I could.  And well, today I'm feeling OK about whatever happens, as long as we are both safe and healthy.

At my doctor's appointment on Feb. 10th I weighed in at a whopping 140 pounds!  I feel like if I'm in Jenny Craig, looking forward to my appointment on monday (Feb 23rd) to see how much weight I've gained in 2 weeks.  :)

The fun news is that I'm not sleeping much anymore, between the pain in my hips and Alessio's violent kicks at 4am, and needing a crane to turn my body over or get out of bed to pee... it's just not working.  But, only about 5 more weeks to go... and then I'll have the joys of a beautiful baby boy that is going to sleep ALL night long ... hahah!  ;-)

January 26, 2009:

My butt has grown to new levels!!  Aaaaah!!

I discovered some fresh stretch marks on my tush this weekend, and I just can't believe that it has grown even bigger than when I was pregnant with Aaron.  It's already covered in stretchies, so I'm ok with it... I just didn't know my butt had so much growth potential!  LOL

Don't worry, I'm not putting up a picture of THIS story... haha!  :)

January 21, 2009:

Went for my 30 week sonogram yesterday.  Alessio was knocked out!  I tried so many different things to try and wake him up, but he was sound asleep with his foot on his mouth.  He weighs 3 pounds and is measuring perfect for his age.  I was worried about him being too big, but I'm feeling more confident now that I will be able to push him out myself.  :)  He isn't upside down yet... but hopefully within the next few weeks he'll flip down and STAY that way.  He's too active to stay in one spot!

I can already tell he has daddy's mouth.  That crevice over the upper lip is totally daddy's.  I'm really excited for the baby shower on the 31st... I can't wait to decorate his room!

Up until now I've been feeling great, but this is the top of the hill right here.... 30 weeks!  It's all downhill from here, haha.  I am starting to have some more pain in my hip area and my groin area.  Now the fun will really begin :)  Next doctor's appointment is on Feb. 10th.

January 12, 2009:

To all my fellow pregnant mommies reading this... BeneFiber with Vitamin B and Folic Acid works so well for constipation.  It's a  tasteless powder and dissolves in anything.

As for my little man, he was beating me up pretty badly yesterday.  I saw something online that says "Pregnancy is like getting your ass kicked from the inside."  So true for me!  I can't wait for January 20th so I can see his little face again at my sonogram appointment.

January 7, 2009:

I went to do my blood test for pregnancy diabetes today... YUUUUCKK.  Thankfully it's over and out of the way!  My weight gain was another whopping 5 pounds, but to my defense I was wearing a very heavy pair of jeans AND am pretty constipated thanks to glorious pregnancy.  I got some advice from the doctor to help "move things along," so hopefully I will get this problem fixed.  This brings my weight gain to 20 pounds.

They also moved my due date once again, it's now back to April 1st, 2009.  So I'm officially 28 weeks pregnant today... only 2 1/2 more months until Alessio Angel Anaya graces us with his presence.  :)

December 10, 2008:

I went for my regular doctor's appointment yesterday and gained 4 pounds this month, so I'm now at 15 pounds total weight gain.  So far so good!  (23 weeks pregnant)

I wasn't feeling well on Monday, at all, and ended up going to the hospital to get hydrated.  I felt better after a couple bags of saline, and the doctor ordered a sonogram to make sure the baby was ok since I was having minor contractions.  Check this out!

Isn't technology amazing?!  He weighs 1.5 pounds and is absolutely gorgeous.  I can't believe he has yummy cheeks already.  :)

November 29, 2008

Well, mood swings are in full effect!  Not all days are bad, but most days I feel like a baby in need of love and pampering. <3

Turkey Day was good... lots of yummy food and desserts.  Hey, a little extra thigh and butt fat won't kill me!

Alessio is still kicking like a soccer player.  It really does seem like an all day event.  We are 22 weeks along today and thankfully my sleep methods are great again.  I fall asleep easily and hardly wake up.  I know this won't last much longer, so I'm enjoying it while I can! :)

November 13, 2008:

Went to my doctor yesterday for my regular appointment and found out I gained another 5 pounds.  That makes a total of 11 pounds in the first half of my pregnancy... not bad!  I asked the doctor for the baby's weight and according to the sonogram last week he weighs 10 ounces.  Perfect!  (Not 1 pound like the sonographer said, thankfully).  I look more pregnant every week and I'm still tired a lot, but I feel good right now.  Except my boobs are humongous.  And heavy.  Got Milk?

November 10, 2008:

I'm feeling very pregnantly emotional today and was looking at the baby's 3D sonogram.  Staring at his little face gave me this rush of emotions... like being swallowed by a cloud of happiness.  I started wondering what he would look like (beautiful) and his personality (sweet).

According to my weekly e-mails, he is approximately 10 inches long this week.  I woke up last night in the middle of the night and he was kicking away.  Little soccer player :)

November 5, 2008:  Sonogram Day... It's a Boy!

We had our gender sonogram today, and found out that the baby is a BOY.  It was so much fun having the kids there... Aaron was more excited than anyone, standing right in the front.  Alexa was interested for a few minutes, but then she got bored started touching things around the room, haha.  My favorite moment was when Leo bent down and kissed me with a huge smile on his face.  <3  Alessio wasn't up to his usual soccer-baby self kicking away... instead he was resting with his hands in front of his face, staying nice and still so we could get a good look at him.  The sonographer says he weighs almost a pound!!  That kind of scares me, because at this point he should weight about  half a pound.  OH BOY!  Sonographer said that the baby looks perfect and beautiful and healthy, so for me to keep doing whatever I'm doing.

November 4, 2008 (18 weeks pregnant):

I am so excited about tomorrow!  We get to find out if we're having a cheeseburger or a hotdog!  Here is a picture of my belly from this morning:

I have been feeling pretty good lately.  Still tired once the afternoon comes, but have been able to get my eating under control.  I've gained 7 pounds so far... awesome!   The kids are so excited about having a baby around the house.  Alexa is in love with the whole pregnancy process, always rubbing, kissing, and hugging my belly.  They will be with us tomorrow at the sonogram, I can't wait to see their reaction when they see the baby moving.  Leo and the kids have all felt the baby kick... it kicks all day long!

Previous Updates:

-July 11th:  The morning of my grandma's birthday this baby was conceived! LOL! Started feeling bad only 3 days later... Yay Pregnancy! My symptoms before knowing I was pregnant were: nausea, smells and food made me nauseous, especially my favorite foods; Road-map veins on my boobs; water tasted nasty; lost weight, etc.
-July 25th : Missed period, took 3 tests in the morning... even a digital one. BFP!
-Sept. 12: Started feeling the baby roll around in there! I turn 11 weeks tomorrow. This was my worst week of morning sickness (week 10). Started feeling better in week 12.
-Sept. 24th (12w4d):  Did first sonogram for sequential screening test and SWEAR I saw a baby penis! Sonogram tech says looks like a boy, but she's not allowed to say yet since it was so early. Waiting for 11/5 to find out for sure!
-Oct. 16th (15w5d): Went to doctor, weight gain to-date is 6 pounds. (But I gained 5 pounds this month alone... here we go!)
-October 19th (16w1d): My hubby got to feel the baby kick!   It was just one small kick, but we were watching football so you know how that goes
-Oct. 27th (17w2d): First time feeling the baby hiccup inside my tummy. My son got to feel it too!
-Oct 28th: Isn't it amazing how you can fall in love with someone you haven't even met yet?   I'm feeling baby hiccups again right now and have just totally fallen in love with my newest little 7 inch baby, lol.
