Hello, everyone I apolgize for the long delay in updating Kylee's webpage, I have been busy getting situated at my new command in Bremerton, Washington. So we are all lovin' it here in Washington, however, it doesn't come close to comparing to Hawaii, and the wonderful care she was givin' while at Tripler in Hawaii. Kylee is being seen at Seattle Children's Hospital, where she is under the care of her Transplant coordinator Lisa Vitacco, and her Transplant doctor Horslen. She is currently being seen at Children's Hospital monthly for blood work, and follow ups to she how she is growing. Recently, we found out that her Omegaven, which is the lipid that she has been on since we arrived here is doing wonderful things to her liver enyzmes. We are so amazed how this drug that is not FDA approved (shark oil) works so well in lowering her liver enyzmes, not to mention her color. She is no longer yellow, and her liver enyzmes are exactly where a normal babies enyzmes are. Last week we took her to her appointment in Seattle for her monthly checkup and found out through her doctor that she will not need a liver transplants, if her Omegaven continues to work as it has been. Wonderful..............News Hugh!!!! Kylee is now weighting 14 lbs and she is also getting longer and more more beautiful everyday!!! Please, check out her pictures that I added to her pages. 06Mar08 Hello everyone! This is Kylee's dad. Well, I just wanted to let everyone know whats going on with our little one. Recently, we flew from Hawaii to Seattle, Washington so Kylee could receive the best care possible. Kylee is now in Seattle Childrens Hospital where she is getting wonderful care. Earlier this week, we think Kylee caught a slight cold, as she was having slight problems with her breathing. She was just trying really hard to get her air in and making congested noises. Recently, Kylee has been feeding by a bottle nipple 20ml's of milk every 3 hours, and was doing really well. Yesterday, the Doctor's had to hold her feeding for one day, because she started to dump the feeding instead of using it. The Doctor's presumption was that they were increasing her intake to fast.
