Hi Tim & Kels: Got to spend some time yesterday with Beau. He is such a beautiful, wonderful child. What a great job you are doing for the Lord in raising your kids. He is a joy. I must say, the apple didn't fall far from the tree.
I am sure you miss him, but I am so thankful for the time with him. Love you all!

Kels, the pics of the flowers are sooo pretty!!! wow! Happy late Birthday to Tim!!! I also really enjoyed what you wrote about raising our children for the Lord, ya'll are doing such a good job, and although I know we're going against the grain of many people we may know...eternity will tell that it's worth it! To live a consistant Christian life on a daily basis, leading by our example even when we feel like we're the only ones doing it, it's worth it. I often think of how close I was to rejecting living for the Lord, my how different my life would be...I'm so thankful for what we've learned not only from our parents, our experiences, Bible college, but God's Word. It has truly changed our thinking compared to when we were 18 huh?? Well, we're also a lot older too. I praise God for you, you are such a Godly friend...know that I pray for you and your little family...I pray that 20 years from now we will be writing about how though it was hard to go against the 'norm' of this world by being a Christian, it was worth every step as we talk of how our boys are serving the Lord with their lives...that's all that really matters when we present them before God right? Thank you for sharing your thoughts...sorry this was longer than I meant!=)

Grandma C you have spoken my heart too! I along with you have such a burden for the younger people. Titus 2 says the older women should teach the younger women and when I read that I get so convicted! I do know that Psalm 37 says that if we commet to Him....He will bring it to pass. I find that such a comfort because it doesn't say we have to do it, we just have to commit to the Lord and He brings to pass and I know that Tim and Kelsey are committed! We are so looking forward to seeing Beau and can't wait until Judson can have a special trip to Pennsylvania too!

Kelsey, I was so moved when I read your journal entry. All around us are needs that only our Lord can fill. And since God has chosen to work through us, we have a huge job to do. There are so many needy people. I must purpose in my heart to pray more for the young families that I love so dearly that God will reach down and save the souls and move the hearts of these special, special grandchildren of mine for God's service.

I just went through all the girl clothes also. I now have a GIANT rubbermaid full of precious newborn clothes that Maddie has outgrown and I just cannot part with them. Maybe if you have a girl I could give them to you and know that they're going to a good home. So, maybe you could save me a tub of boy clothes you know, just in case.

Happy Birthday Judson! Wow! You're 2 already! Time sure flies! Your Grampa and Gramma C are in our neck of the woods this weekend! They came on the boat with us last night to watch the fireworks. WHAT? No Cake?!?!?! Haakon was begging me yesterday saying it had to be someones birthday. (may I say Haakon and Marit are only just slightly obsessed about birthdays and cake) I said it was Jud's and we almost did make a cake but ended up taking a long nap instead. Don't worry Kelsey. You are probably a better mother for not making a confectionery concoction that really is not good for children at all! All that sugar and and such. Besides, down south you can't even get healthy sugar, you know, the kind from vegetables! (sugar beets) like our Mom's can get. Don't feel guilty. When you do end up making the cake, put one candle in it, dress him in baby clothes and take his picture. Then change him and put 2 candles in it! That way you made up for both birthdays! Love you!!!
