Happy Birthday Auntie Cara! Hope your day was fabulous! Love and miss you!

Oh my, where to begin!? We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving week with my parents! It was great to see them again and we enjoyed their visit with us! Hopefully, they can say the same! I'm afraid we worked them to death and wore them out! They were great sports though, and the boys enjoyed having Grandma and Grandpa here to play with!

Tonight we had our annual Messiah performance at church. It was fun, and I can't remember the last time my fingers have played that fast!

I have to tell this funny story..... Yesterday morning, Tim and I were enjoying some coffee and relaxing, when we noticed the boys had disappeared and were not in the room with us anymore. We listened for them, and could hear them laughing, giggling and playing with each other. I was curious so I peeked down the hallway toward the bedrooms, and saw a hallway full of pretzels! I then headed toward Judson's room where I found both of them playing and surrounded by pretzels everywhere! Those two, they are crazy. I'm sure this is only the beginning of crazy things they will do together! Tim brought up his new shop vac from the basement (his Christmas present from my parents!) and cleaned them all up for us. Then, late that night, Tim and I woke suddenly at around 2:30 am to the sounds of laughing and a banging noise in the livingroom. Tim got up to check it out and found Beau with an empty box of wheat thins and crackers all over the livingroom floor! He was throwing them everywhere and trying to get Molly to chase them and eat them! That's what we get for leaving his bedroom door open. We figured we would let the heat from the fireplace flow into his room so that's why we left his door open. Guess we probably shouldn't have laughed so hard while taking pictures of the pretzel mess earlier that day! He thought it was funny and decided he would do it again with the wheat thins! Maybe I should make sure all snacks are safely put away and not within his reach! At least it wasn't a bag of M&M's or anything, or Molly probably would've died!

I'm thinking I should probably take Judson in to the doctor tomorrow. Poor little guy has not been able to shake off whatever bug he has! He's just been getting worse over the last week, so it might be time for some antibiotics or something.

I thought I would get some of the pictures from this past week on here. I only got about half of them on here. We had fun using Dad's new fancy Canon camera so we got tons of pictures! I'll try to get the rest on here soon! Ok, it's now 11:51 and I am sleepy! It's been a long day! Goodnight ya'll!

Happy Thanksgiving Everybody!!!!!
I hope that while each of you are reading this, you are smelling the wonderful aromas of turkey (or ham), mashed potatoes and gravy, pumpkin pie, and coffee! Whether you are at your home, or away traveling somewhere, I wish you all a very happy and memorable Thanksgiving!

Tim and I have been blessed to have my parents here for the last few days! It has been so great having them visit! I wish they could come more often, but we are thankful for the sacrifice they have made in taking off work and spending way too much on gas to get here!

I want to congratulate 3 of my friends on the births of their babies..........
1. Congratulations to Dan and Heidi Schatz on the birth of their son, Evan Kail! Evan was born on Mon. Nov.19th and weighed in at 7lbs.2 oz and was 18 1/2 in.long!

2. Congratulations to Bray and Nicole Gardner on the birth of their son, Dylan Joseph! Dylan was born on Tues. Nov.20th and weighed in at a whopping 8lbs.12 oz and was 22 in. long!

3. Congratulations to Matt and Rose Johnson on the birth of their son, Noah Edsel! Noah was born on Tues. Nov.20th and weighed in at 5 lbs 12 oz. and was 18 in. long!

Tim and I got to go to the hospital tonight to see and hold both Evan and Dylan! They were only a few rooms apart at the hospital! Evan is so sweet and tiny and Dylan was so sweet and big! I'm pretty sure I should not have done that because it just reminds me how wonderful and amazing a newborn baby is! There is nothing like hearing their sweet little noises and holding them when they're so tiny! It brings back memories of those first few hours and days with  each of the boys. Lately, Tim and I have been tossing the idea around of being done with the family additions, but, after holding those precious little babies tonight, I'm afraid I would just not be satisfied if I couldn't have 1 more! Babies are definitley sent straight from God in Heaven! They are little miracles and truly are the most amazing little things! If God wants to give us more children some day, then I will just have to trust that God will give me the patience and wisdom to raise them!

Beau helped me make some chocolate chip & butterscotch cookies today! He did so good helping me stir and pour things! We couldn't quite manage to get cookies made without one little incident though. While sitting up on the counter he noticed my bread machine and quick as a little mouse he reached over and canceled the bread cycle that had been going for a little over an hour. Oh well, no use crying over spilled milk, or ruined bread for that matter! :) The cookies turned out great, except for the batch I forgot in the oven while I was laying Beau down for a nap! They got a little too crispy!
Hmmm... now for a little bad news.... my dishwasher is broken! Boo hoo! Last night Tim and I noticed the kitchen floor (the wood floor) was covered in tons of water! We soaked it all up and realized our dishwasher is not able to drain the water anymore for some reason. It is only a portable dishwasher and not built in, so I'm not sure what is wrong with it. Hopefully we can get it fixed because I forgot how fast the dishes pile up! Especially after making bread and cookies! This morning I think I washed just about every dish we own by hand. All the dishes that were in the dishwasher never got clean and on top of that, there was already a whole bunch of dirty dishes in the sink and on the counters. Hmmm... maybe we should stock up on plastic cups and paper plates? No, I'm just kidding it's not that bad, I can survive! It does make me thankful for being able to live in the 21st century though!

On Saturday, we went to a birthday party for our little buddy Dawson Gearin! He turned 4 years old. His party was John Deere themed and Stacy (his mom) even made a big John Deere tractor cake out of cupcakes. So creative! Beau loves the Gearin's so much and prays for them every night at bedtime! Stacy, Dakota, Dawson, and Donovan, have become some of our best buddies!

I think Judson is teething, perhaps getting some molars? His nose has been like a running faucet and he did not sleep well last night. Maybe he is finally getting those 1 yr. molars!

The weather has been chilly! Brrrrrrr! We have been making lots of fires in the fireplace and are looking for an insert for it to help put out more heat and cut down on utilities!

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Grandpa and Grandma C! They are driving all the way down here from MN for Thanksgiving! Our first Thanksgiving at our new house- it will be fun! I can't wait for Christmas! We will have fun decorating and picking out the biggest tree we can find! The holidays are upon us once again. This is my favorite time of year- I love it! I just wish I could share it with the rest of my family too.

Just had to add a few pictures of the newest addition to our family! I couldn't help but cry when I saw these pictures! When I see them holding their baby girl, I think of all the thousands of prayers that have been answered! Congratulations Brian and Niki! We couldn't be happier for you!

Welcome Halle Simone Lott to the family!!!!!
Many of you already know that Tim's brother Brian, and his wife Niki, are adopting a baby girl. She was born today and weighed in at 6lbs 12oz, and is as beautiful as can be! We are thrilled beyond words for them and have prayed for so long for them to have a baby of their own! We can't wait to meet her and will enjoy seeing the boys with their new little cousin!
Please continue to pray for them as Halle will be in the hospital for around 2-5 days, and then they will have to wait 30 days in the state of Pennsylvania before she is "legally" theirs. The adoption process is not exactly easy or quick, so just pray that all goes smoothly and that there will be no hang-ups in the process. We're so looking forward to seeing this precious girl grow up and I'm sure there will not be a baby in Pennsylvania who is loved as much as Halle will be!

Well, Beau has been up in PA with Gramee and Grampee for 10 days now! I'm surprised I have made it this long without him! I can't lie, the first week was actually pretty nice and although I missed him, I enjoyed the freedom of only having 1 child again! I had forgotten all the things that you can do with only 1! Now, I'm done having fun without him and just want to squeeze him and smush him and kiss him! I think the plan is for me to meet Grampee and Beau half way tomorrow to pick him up. I'm so excited to see him!

Thanks so much to our friends Heath and Becca Copp for the wonderful time in the mountains! They let us enjoy the beautiful cabin they rented and took us out for a fabulous dinner! We also had fun shopping at the outlet malls, relaxing in the hot tub, playing fooseball, air hockey, and watching scary movies! Thank you so much guys for everything! P.S. Becca thank you so much for the sweet card and delicious scented candle! I love it! I had it burning during all my violin lessons on Tues. and everybody loved it. :)

I told mom last night that I am officially addicted to coffee! I always swore I would never allow myself to get to this point, but here I am! I get terrible headaches without my morning caffeine! That's not a good sign is it? I am turning into my mother after all! :) Don't worry mom, I count that as a wonderful thing!

Well, we felt bad we did not have any candy last night for the trick-or-treaters! Tim was not feeling good last night so he stayed home from church while I went and worked in the nursery. I told him he better keep all the lights off otherwise he will have some very dissappointed little kids when he tells them we don't have any candy!

I better run, Judson keeps putting my cell phone up to my ear and saying, "HI!". I think he is getting bored with me typing on the computer!

Love you all!

We got through our picture taking session! Yay! I have posted some of them but keep in mind they are the un-edited versions  so they are not cropped or anything.  We had a pretty good time. I wouldn't say it was fabulous, but I can't complain! The kids did pretty well. I will admit we bribed Beau with a new train if he was good and sat for the pictures. It actually worked! So, after we were all done, I ran into Toys R' Us and picked him out Annie and Clarabel. (they are Thomas' coaches). I guarentee that will be the first thing he plays with when he gets up in the morning! We decided to go ahead and get Judson's pictures taken too since we missed his 1 yr. pictures. He did good, we got a few cute ones.
We are looking forward to Tim's parents coming in tomorrow! They might even be taking Beau back up to PA with them so Tim and I can have a little break when Heath and Becca Copp come next weekend! We will still keep Jud with us, but we will still have a little more freedom if we want to go out to eat or go shopping or something when they're here. Plus, Beau will have a great time with Grampee! I hope I don't miss him too much!

Hmmm... let's see here..... what is new? Well, we have all been and are currently sick at our house! (except for Beau!) I have strep throat, Judson had the stomach flu, and now Tim's getting feverish and achy too! I am feeling much better though, so now it will be easier to help take care of everyone else!
We had a good time with Josh and Misty and their kids a couple weeks ago. We hired babysitters and all went downtown to see a University of Tennessee football game! Well, it's a long story, but only Josh and Misty ended up going to the game. However, Tim and I had a great time walking around, and grabbing some dinner and coffee downtown while we were waiting for the game to be over. It was a nice little date!

We have an appt. to have a family picture taken tomorrow evening! Pray that goes well! I'm not expecting a fabulous and perfect picture, just hoping for one where we are at least all looking in the same direction! I am wondering what on earth we are going to wear, maybe I should've had that planned out already. Oh well, I have a few ideas.
Speaking of family pictures, is it Murphy's law that something has to go wrong right before a photo shoot? Like normally one of the kids will end up falling and busting their lip or head the day before. Well, today while Judson was taking a bath, I was combing through his hair trying to get a few tangles out. Judson loves to grab the comb and try to do it himself, but since there wasn't an extra comb laying around, he went for the closest thing- MY RAZOR! In a blink of an eye, he grabbed my razor and made the fastest swipe across the top of his head I've ever seen! By the time I screamed, he was already done and there was 2 beautiful locks of hair (still curly) laying in the tub! Thankfully, it is not very noticeable! Oh that stinker! I'm just glad he did not cut himself! Note to self- remove all sharp objects before giving small child a bath!

We are looking forward to having Gramee and Grampee come this Friday!

We are excited to have Josh, Misty, Emma, Gracie, and Andrew Beutow come and stay with us over the weekend! Tim and I and Josh and Misty are going to a UT football game tomorrow! We've lined up a babysitter for all 5 kids! It will be fun. The Beutow's are coming from Illinois for a visit.

Last weekend, I played for a wedding at this place called "Whitestone". It is like a huge B&B and restaraunt. They often have weddings out there and it's gorgeous! It was a beautiful day and there were horses right behind where I was sitting with my violin. Tim and I would love to stay the night there sometime, maybe for an anniversary? It's a little over an hour away from our house.

I posted some pictures of our bedroom and the dresser I got for Beau off Craigslist. Mom and I refinished it and it turned out really great! It was fun once we (or I ) finally decided on what "look" I wanted to go with! It still needs a little touching up with the darker stain color but it sure holds alot more clothes than his last dresser did!

"MR. INDEPENDENT"- that is Beau's new name!  Whatever Beau does, he has to do it all by himself. He has to pour his own cereal and milk, open and close all doors, pick out his own clothes, climb up into his carseat (don't you dare try to help him!) climb onto the changing table, put his own shoes on, and everything else! He is 2 1/2 and if you asked him, he would probably say he can do anything! If you close a door without letting him do it, he will reopen it just so he can close it by himself. I guess we are in the middle of the "I am a big boy and I can do it all by myself" stage. Hmmm... I wonder when this will transfer over into the potty training area? Right now, I am seeking advice on potty training. He screams and cries when I sit him on the potty. He does not care if "treats" are involved or not. (I guess he gets too many treats at other times for them to be special enough to work for this) He does not like to sit on the potty, he does not like to stand at the potty, he does not even like to look at or be around the potty! AAAAHHHHH!!!!! Tim and I have tried so hard, we have even bribed him with getting him a Cranky the Crane and a new James.(because for some reason the James he has is not good enough, he wants a new one) And he knows all this too, he understands that when he goes peepee on the potty (for the first time ever in his life) he will get all these great things. But, still no peepee in the potty. I have heard from other moms, "Oh just give him a couple M&M's or skittles when he goes!" Well, if that would've worked, we would not be having this much trouble. Also, I've heard them say that boys like to stand better and not sit. Well, that doesn't work either. Tim has tried to take Beau in the bathroom with him whenever possible to show Beau how big boys go potty, but that hasn't gotten him interested either. I've tried it all- setting the timer every 20 min. , bribing him with candy, making him wear big boy underwear and not diapers, and the list goes on. What am I doing wrong?? Will I have to pack my son a box of diapers when he heads off to college?? :) Could it be that he is just not ready yet? I hate to think that he is the only one in his nursery room at church that is not potty trained yet. At least the rest of them are all in the middle of this stage and might not be fully trained, but are well on their way! The last time I worked in his room during church, I took Beau in the bathroom with us when it was "potty time". I wanted him to see how the other kids are doing it. He even helped me praise each little child after they had gone and helped get the stool and paper towels when they had washed their hands. He would say, "Good job Justus" and "Good job Andrew".  Did that help him have a desire to go to the potty? NOPE. Well, I know he is a smart boy and that's why I am having a hard time with the fact that he just "isn't ready" yet. He does great in every other area- wanting to do everything by himself, wanting to help with everything, his speech and sentences are fantastic, (and hilarious!) we just can't get past or even into this potty stage. Pray that I will have patience with him! Every time I make him sit on the potty, he screams and cries and I usually end up sitting on the floor with him hugging him and telling him it's ok, all the while he is still on the potty.  I have to wonder what I'm doing wrong. I always feel terrible afterwards and I feel like I never should've even tried to put him on the potty. I am starting to dislike and despise the potty as much as Beau!

HAPPY FALL YA'LL!  The calender may say Fall, but the weather still says Summer! Anyways, we are looking forward to all the warm cozy things that Fall brings! Can't wait for smells of apple cider, burning leaves, and baked apple pie candles!

We had a great time with Grandma! (my mom) She came and stayed with us for a week and was a wonderful help! We got lots of things done while she was here. We painted, she sewed curtains, refinished a dresser for Beau's room (I'll take pictures when the handles that I ordered come in), and baked buns, bread, and cinnamon rolls! Our time went by too fast.

The boys are sick-again. :( It never ends!

Well, the boys took great long naps today and I got most of the family room painted! It is a golden honey color and feels very warm and cozy. I was expecting to only get about one wall done while they were asleep, but I was able to do almost all of it. The rest of it will have to wait until Wednesday's nap time since I am out of paint and tomorrow is "lesson day".

Beau got a haircut tonight! It was waaaaay over due! He still does NOT like haircuts! It is so frustrating and by the time we are done, both Beau and I are about in tears! He refuses to wear the "cape" but goes histerical when he feels the itchy hair fall on him. I even ran around the house with the cape on before we started. I was pretending to be Superman hoping that he would want to wear it, but the only thing I accomplished with that was looking rediculous! I even let him have candy while I cut his hair. Let's just say that a sticky sucker and loose hair clippings do not go well together!
Well, I think I cut it short enough so that we will not have to do this again anytime soon!

I have someone from babyhomepages.net looking into why my website sends people so many update emails. Hopefully we will get this taken care of and fixed soon. In the meantime, I apologize for all the emails!

Last night our church had it's service downtown Knoxville in Market Square. They do this every year around the anniversary of 9/11. It's always a patriotic kind of service with lots of special music and things like that. The news channels are usually there with their camera crews and this year the cameraman set up his camera about a foot and a half from me and started recording! I was curious so I watched the evening news and sure enough, there I was! I got about 5 full seconds of air time! Wow, I'm famous now! :) j/k

We are looking forward to Grandma Christensen's visit on the 18th! Only 8 more days! I am going to put her to work helping me sew curtains for our bedroom, painting shutters, and the list goes on and on! Hope you're feeling energetic mom!

p.s Say a little prayer for Jud, he has been running a fever and has not been feeling good! I was up quite a bit with him last night rocking him and holding him. Hopefully he will sleep good tonight.

FINALLY! Some new pictures! Today, I have devoted my "quiet time" while the boys nap, to putting some pictures on here. I still have about 30 more pictures to go, but had to stop and take a break, because Judson is waking up. I am sorry that they are in such random order and not grouped together, but that is the way they downloaded onto my computer and with so many to put on here, I didn't even try to organize them.
We have been up to alot lately! Bob and Marlene (Gramee and Grampee) came and visited us over this past Labor Day weekend. We had lots of fun and of course, Beau enjoyed having his Grampee here! It was sad to see them go and we'll be anxiously awaiting their next trip down here!
Sunday night after church, we headed downtown Knoxville for their "Boom's Day" celebration. Every Labor Day the city puts on a huge fireworks display. It was fun going with Bob and Marlene, and our friends Chris and Hannah. Judson loved the fireworks but Beau was not all about them! They must have looked a little scary to him and I'm sure the big booms and bangs didn't help!
Tim and I are slowly plugging along at the house updates! The kitchen cabinets are over half done now, and are looking alot better now that we decided to paint them. Bob and Tim also spent Labor Day trimming and hacking down limbs and bushes! You can actually see the front of our house now! Thanks guys!
Beau is growing up so fast! He's such a little boy and loves to help and do "big boy" things! His sentences are so cute because although he uses many words in each one, sometimes they are a little jumbled up. He gets all the right words in there, just not in the right order sometimes! It's adorable.
Judson is finally starting to walk! Just a few steps here and there, but he is gaining more confidence every day and I'm betting by the end of next week, he will be running around here like his big brother!
Oh, I almost forgot.... I don't know why, but everytime I update our website, it sends everyone a TON of update emails! I'm so sorry for all of them, and I will try to contact the website and find out why this happens. Anyways, you will probably be getting more of them since I still have so many more pictures to put on here. Bye for now, gotta get Jud up, I'll try to finish the updates later on this evening.

OK, it's been forever I know! Soooo sorry! It seems like we have been so busy! Yet again, no new pictures!

So here's a crazy story....We bought a sofa off ebay from someone here in Knoxville and the guy came and delivered it tonight. It was for Tim's "man room" in the basement. Well, to make a long story short, we could not fit it down the hallway and through the door entrance so what did we do? We tore down half a wall! Yes, that's right, tore down a wall! Then once we finally got it in the room, we looked up and decided that we didn't like the ugly "office looking ceiling tiles" on the ceiling. So, what did we do? We pulled those down too! Well, just some of them, it was getting late and we decided to call it a night! Guess that project will have to wait until this weekend. Or, maybe a few weekends from now since we haven't yet finished redoing our kitchen cabinets. I'm not sure why we do stuff like this, but you know what? I think all these crazy little projects of ours is what helps me a house a home. When you put time and energy into something and get lots of memories to go with, you really start to love the house and it becomes something very special to you.

I drove by our old house the other day and felt a little sad! It still feels like I should pull in the driveway and walk right in! Instantly, all kinds of memories starting coming to mind. We did alot of work to that house (maybe not GREAT work) but, all that work and time spent on it, made us grow to love that house so much! It was obvious that the people are taking good care of it and have spent a great deal of time working in the yard! That made me feel a little better to know that someone else is loving it. I'm sure I will love our new house just as much some day. So, maybe this crazy little project in the basement of ours, is just our way of letting a little blossom of love start to grow. Ok, it is almost 1:30 am here and I sound like I've been reading a novel or something!

I promise no more updates on the website until I have some fresh new pictures to go with! Love you all!

Thank you to everyone who prayed for my surgery. Everything went well and now I have one less organ inside of me! :) I was pretty sore for the first few days, but today when I woke up, I felt 10 times better! The incisions themselves were tender, but what hurt the most was my stomach muscles! It felt like a Mack truck drove over my stomach! :) (I had a very hard time even trying to blow my nose or clear my throat) Anyways, I'm feeling much better and I think the kids are happy to have their mommy back!

Tim did such a great job taking care of all of us! He even brought me breakfast in bed on a tray. :) The boys got some serious "daddy" time! Now he is back to work and I miss my nanny and chef!

We have been having really really really hot weather here! You don't want to be outside for more than a few minutes or you'll melt! I'm looking forward to when I can jump in the pool again!

I have not been doing a very good job of putting new pictures on here. I have some in my camera that I'll try to transfer onto here in the next couple days.

I met with the surgeon that will be doing my gallbladder surgery at my doctor's appt. today. We have scheduled the surgery for this Friday at noon. Please say a prayer for me! I'm a little bit nervous about being put to sleep! I've never had any kind of surgery before but I'm sure it will go fine. They make surgeries a piece of cake now days. In the hospital one minute, out the door the next! I'm excited to get this taken care of.
Well, Tim and I painted our bedroom last night. We make a good team. I do the cutting in, and he rolls. I have some fabric that I need to make into curtains for the room. I'll post pictures when I get them done. I think decorating is one of my very favorite things to do. I'm not saying I'm good at it, I just love to try. Poor Tim, he's such a good sport about how I change my tastes and styles so often! I think we are on the 4th or 5th comforter/duvet set since we've been married. :)
It's a hot one here today! If I didn't have all my violin students coming today, I would be in the pool right now.

I can't believe it's already been a week since I last updated the site! Time goes by too fast! Tim and I spent most of the day priming and painting our kitchen. It was a big job that took a long time! We painted the crown moulding, baseboards, and paneling. We didn't finish putting on the new cabinet handles yet because we're planning to take all the doors off soon and try to refinish them. They need a little facelift but they are solid! The color we painted the kitchen was not exactly how I had envisioned it, but we really like it and because it took so long to paint in all the grooves of the paneling, we're going to keep it this color for a long time. :) Tim calls it "army" green, I'm calling it a light "avocado" green.

Last night Tim and I went to a baseball game with all his co-workers and had a good time. It was nice to get a little break from the boys.Unfortunately, I must have eaten something that made my gallbladder mad and was up the whole night. I went to the doctor Friday morning and they did an ultrasound on my gallbladder, but I probably won't get the results from that until Monday. After the ultrasound, I think the next step is this thing called a "hydascan" (sp.?) anyways, it's a test they do to see what level your gallbladder is funtioning at, if any. I'm so ready to get this thing out of me. I have already made a list of foods that I want to eat as soon as I have the surgery! (And trust me, none of them are healthy!)

Ok guys, pool party at our house today!! BYOT (bring your own towels!) It's super hot and sunny and we're gonna be grilling out and swimming. Just wanted to let you know you're all invited!

Last night I put up the backsplash in our kitchen. It's this neat new stuff that looks like tin. I'll post pictures once we get all the new cabinet handles on. It was easy but very tedious and time consuming!

Hope everyone is having a great day! We miss you all!

Well we are all moved and getting settled into the new place. We still have some unpacking to do but it's coming along pretty well. We really love it here and are excited about staying here for a long time! :) No more moving! (as far as we know)
We have been in the pool at least once a day. It's even fun late at night. Beau is not quite so sure about it yet, but every time we get him in there, he likes it. Judson loved it right away.
Grampee and Gramee were a huge help to us during the move! It was so great having them here to watch the boys for us so we could get some things done. Unfortunately, they got a stomach virus while they were here! Hope they're feeling better now!
I tried to take some pictures of some of the rooms that were somewhat "put together". A few people have been wanting to see pictures so they can "place" us. I forgot to take some of the outside. Well, if any of you would like to come over and help me finish unpacking and start painting, you are more than welcome! Sometime next week I'll start painting the paneling in the kitchen. That should be a big job but it will be fun. For some odd reason, I find painting very relaxing. Well, it's a little after midnight and I am staring at boxes sitting in the middle of our bedroom floor. Lots to do, better get to bed!
