Charlotte is doing great and almost 17 months old!

4th of July weekend, we went up to Flagstaff to enjoy some cooler weather!  We stayed in a cabin in the town of Parks, went to their pancake breakfast and Charlotte got to see her first parade!  Charlotte had her first round of swim lessons in July.  I got to appear on TV doing a cooking segment to promote one of my Southern Living at HOME cookbooks.  Just this past week, Charlotte and I went to Iowa!  Charlotte's first time on an airplane and she did great!  Had a great time with family and friends and although it wasn't too much cooler than AZ, we did get some rain while we were there and really enjoyed that!

Other than that, it's just life as usual for us!

I added a few new pictures and videos today... Charlotte has been keeping us pretty busy lately going swimming, playdates, birthday parties, and hanging out with our family.

She's starting to walk and thinks it is very funny.  She's really good at giving kisses and is starting to respond to our questions.  Overall, she's doing really great!

Hope everyone is doing well.

We drove out to Yucca Valley, CA last weekend to see Rawburt and Carol and they took us to the Wildlife Zoo.  Charlotte and Rawburt got to feed the giraffes.  She had a great time at the zoo and hanging out with the BIG dogs :o)~

Hope everyone is doing great!

Charlotte is 1 year old!  We made it!!  Her birthday party was on Saturday at the park... We had a monkey themed party for our little MONKEY!  She really enjoyed the day... Check out all the pictures.

She had her 12 month check-up yesterday and weighs 21 lbs. and is 31 inches long.  She's in the 55% for her weight and 95% for her height.  She gets to switch to milk and gets to turn her carseat around to face forward!  Dr. said she is a very healthy, happy girl... not bad, since we don't have a clue what we are doing!

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes, cards, presents, and just for thinking of Charlotte!!!

It's almost Charlotte's 1st birthday... I added some new pictures today and will add some more after her birthday.  Still not walking yet, but pulling herself up onto everything and cruising along.  FINALLY saying Mama!  We've also discovered her love for French Fries.  She's really enjoying her quality time with Dad while he's off work playing Mr. Mom, he even took her to see the Oscar Meyer Weiner mobile this week.  To get in, he had to sing the Oscar Meyer jingle :o)... The things you do for your children, right?!?!

Charlotte is now 11 months old.  She sure is keeping us busy these days.  She is "cruising" and pulls herself up onto everything she can, especially mommy and daddy.  She has learned to clap, play "So Big", and is waving "Bye Bye"... Grandma got the first wave and she was thrilled.  Her favorite thing to do is to play "Peek-a-boo" and plays it with the wall, her clothes, book, blankets, the curtains - whatever she can.  She laughs and giggles the whole time.  Bath time is also her other favorite thing to do, she squeals whenever we pick her up naked - she knows where we are going!  While the weather is still nice here, we try to get her outside to play as much as possible - she really likes the swings and eating leaves!  We are getting ready to celebrate her 1st birthday at the end of the month, so stay tuned for more pictures to come.

Charlotte is 10 months old today.  I can't believe it.  Literally, where has the time gone??  She is just an amazing little girl... Very happy, learning to pull herself up onto everything (hence the black eye in a couple of pictures), starting to eat adult food... Still working on her words.  Mama is just on the tip of her tongue!  She's just a true blessing to our lives and are so thankful everyday for her.

January was an exciting month for us.  My mom turned 60 on the 13th and we surprised her with a visit from my brother and his family from Iowa.  Charlotte was very excited to meet and play with all of them.

Phillip was very excited for the Cardinals to make their way to the Super Bowl and taught Charlotte to raise her arms for the "touchdown Cardinals"... He says next year it will be the Cardinals and the Raider's (well, you never know... who ever thought the Cardinals would make it!).

Merry Christmas everyone!  Charlotte is 9 months old today.  At her check-up she weighed 20 lbs. and is 28 inches long.  She's in the 75th% for height and weight, so a very healthy girl.

Charlotte had an awesome first Christmas.  As you can see from the pictures, she really enjoyed the wrapping paper and now our home is officially ToysRUs!  She does have such fun playing with all her new toys and we are getting used to hearing the same songs over and over and over again :o)...  But, even with all those toys, she still likes to play with things she shouldn't!  Must be in her DNA!  Not me though, she must take after Phillip!

Overall she is a very happy baby... always smiling, laughing, and loves to do her little bounce dance.  She's figured out how to blow raspberries with her tongue, fortunately she doesn't do it while eating!  We are still working on waving bye, bye and saying mama... She's got dada down and says it ALL THE TIME!  Phillip loves that!

Well, we hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and wish you a Happy New Year too.

Well, she is crawling now and into EVERYTHING!  She especially likes the dog's water bowl, she's always splashing around in that.

Charlotte and Dad had their first "alone time" as I went to Vegas with my friends for 3 days.  Both did incredibly well... I think I managed ok too, but I sure missed her alot.  Thank goodness for modern technology as Phillip sent me photos and vidoes of her everyday to let me know she was alright.

Had a very small Thanksgiving dinner with Mom and Lou... Charlotte really enjoyed having her Grandma and Grandpa over at the house all day.  She got to show off her new crawling skills and got spoiled more if that is even possible.

We are getting ready for Christmas at home - just more things for Charlotte to get into... We are heading to Flagstaff this weekend to play in the snow, very excited to see her reaction to that.  Stay posted for more photos to come soon.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

More pictures added...

Charlotte is now 6 months old.  I can't believe it, but at the same time I can't remember life without her!!

She's figured out how to roll over and is now sleeping on her tummy (which keeps mommy up all night but she is very happy on her tummy so I am dealing with it :o).

She is really trying to crawl... Even gets up on both knees, just can't get them to move yet.  I'm sure it won't be too long now.

She has also found her voice and likes to hear herself "talk"... She talks to the dogs especially, but I think she gets mad at them for not talking back to her!  Still working on saying mommy, although daddy keeps trying to get her to say Raiders!

Phillip is enjoying having his little fan with him on Sunday's watching football games and we are excited that it is finally starting to cool down here a bit (only around 100 this week) so we can take her outside to play.  She'll even be "walking" in the Walk for Hope to Cure Breast Cancer on Sunday, October 5th.

Hope everyone is doing well... Love from the Flattres!!

I added more pictures today ... Charlotte turned 5 months old on the 27th of August.  She's sitting up on her own now and on to eating her veggies (hopefully she'll take after her dad and eat her veggies willingly, unlike her mom).

We took our first family vacation to San Diego in August, rented a house near the beach w/Sheila, Wade, and Maren.  Charlotte was thrilled to be with mommy and daddy all day, but wasn't crazy about the humidity... it wreaked such havoc on her hair!  So, when we got home, we gave her a little trim (uneven, but not bad for a wiggly baby).

On Monday, we celebrated Phillip's 40th birthday (actual birthday was on Tuesday).  Charlotte and I made him peanut butter pancakes for breakfast and then took him to see the Clone Wars movie.

I added more pictures today, so be sure to check out the picture page.  She's onto rice cereal now and seems to be enjoying it, wasn't so sure at first but I think it's growing on her.  We are taking Charlotte to the beach in La Jolla, CA  next week... so check back for vacation pictures soon.

3 months old today!  I can't believe how she's grown!!  She has rolled over from her tummy to her back and has found her thumb.  Most importantly, SHE'S SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!!  Ok, not every night - but 4 out of 7 last week.  Mommy and Daddy are very thankful :o)

Charlotte is now two months old.  She's up to 12 lbs. 1 oz.  and is now 23 3/4 inches long.

She was baptized on 5/25/08.

Aunt Sheila, Uncle Wade, and Cousin Maren came from Carlin, Nevada for a visit.

Went swimming for the first time in Neil and Gayle's pool.

She is smiling and cooing now and really checking things out, she also seems to recognize faces and voices.  We are only getting up once at night with her now, so she is sleeping a bit longer.  Yeah!!
