Happy 2009! Let me start by saying I had well over 200 pictures to go through which is why it has taken me extremely long to update. We had an awesome Christmas. Every single one of us was spoiled but I would say I made out the best! We were at my grandma's Christmas Eve and the Chenoweth's Christmas Day. We did a new tradition for the birthday cake. It is red, green, yellow frosting and the big white candle represents Jesus being the center of our lives and each one of us lit our candle from that one. New Year's Eve was fun- we have a tradition of going to my  mom's for dinner and she has a party and we spend the night. We stayed most of the next day to help get Zachary moved downstairs. We were rewarded with a delicious steak!! Pat and I have been pretty productive around here. Christmas is put back in the attic. Toys are all sorted and have their own home. We also decluttered Adrianna's closet and shelf. Other small things have been done as well. I only hope my momentum keeps up once we start back to our normal schedule tomorrow. I pray for everyone to have a prosperus 2009! May God Bless You and Keep You!

12/23/08 Merry Christmas!! (a little early) So Olivia has gotten to open two presents and Adrianna one. We also baked a ton of cookies this past weekend. Ours are half gone here! Tonight for a nice little surprise I made an early dinner then we piled in the car with cookies and water and looked at lights for about 40 minutes. It was so much fun, I love to hear the girls get all excited about the different displays, I am just sad daddy missed it. We also had a bath and a yummy snack when we got home and the girls are sleeping well now at 8pm. I cannot believe that tomorrow is Christmas Eve already! Happy Birthday Jesus!

12/16/08 Sorry so long no write. All the gifts are bought and wrapped!! Olivia has had two Christmas programs in the past two days. Sunday was the one at church. We had a horrible view of her so that is why there aren't many pictures. Monday was Jesus' birthday party at Olivia's school. It was awesome except for the lighting was crappy. Olivia's best friend Grace was there too since she is in the Friday friends class. They always love to see each other and after the program they were running around and laughing and someone made a comment on who gave them sugar and I said no it is just two best friends really excited to see each other. It always warms my heart to see the two of them together. They always hug and kiss each other hello and good bye. They are so close in fact that they tend to act like siblings at times. We are looking forward to Christmas which is eight days away. The girls each have their own trees in their rooms which they love. Well I hope everyone is warm and safe and close to being done with their Christmas preparations. We are baking on Saturday and Sunday so I will post pics next week!

11/5/08 Hello everyone! Long time no write. Sorry about that but at least I am getting some new pics on. I do have more to put on but I haven't downloaded them yet so I will do that soon. I am feeling better, I was taken off the phosphorus pills (I was taking 6 a day) and go in for lab work next week to see about everything. The girls are doing great. I had conferences for Olivia today. Her teacher says she is doing very well. She is quiet but is starting to come out of her shell a bit. She talks to the head teacher now and even held her hand the other day. She doesn't talk to the other teacher but I am sure she will in time. They love having her in class and she participates and listens well. When she comes home from school she is always a bundle of excited energy and I love it. Adrianna is climbing on things now that she couldn't just a week ago- Yikes! She is quite the talker and her three favorite people are sister, daddy and papa in that order. Today after her nap my grandpa (papa) went and got her up and she only wanted him until Nicki and Olivia started coloring. Coloring is her favorite thing to do right now and when she is drawing with a pen she will say "a" because Olivia has taught her that her name starts with a! I hope everyone is doing well, as enjoyed the nice weather and is prepared for the &%!t that is about to come. I get to go to a mommy conference this weekend so daddy is in charge! I am excited, nervous and guilt ridden about this trip so please pray for me and the kiddos and their daddy.

10/7/08 Are you so impressed or what? So my brother plays football, he is the left guard. We have gone to two of his games. Yesterday the weather was awesome and I had a working camera with me! I did take some action shots but decided not to show them. Today, I was ambitious, Olivia and I made from scratch bread which we made into the shape of a turtle. It was very yummy, all three of us like it and it is half gone already. I also had the girls make pumpkins from paper bags, newspaper, and paint. It was a rainy, yucky day but we made the best of it.

10/6/08 We had such a busy weekend! Saturday we went to the fire department for their open house. It was lots of fun. Then we went home for naps (Adrianna and I) and then it was off the the farm. OK, I seriously cannot say enough good things about this place. First off it is close, second almost everything is free to do and third it is huge with lots of room to run and play. We were there until it was dark outside. Pat and I didn't even have dinner until after 8pm! There was only one minor tantrum but it was seriously tiny. Our friends Connie, Jessie and Anne spent a good part of the day with us. Sunday was our MOPS annual pancake breakfast and then we hung out at my mom's the rest of the day. We have a pretty quiet week but I will post if there is anything good to report.

10/2/08 Happy October everyone! I am NOT ready for the cold weather but here it is, we now have to put up with rotten weather for the next six months. I hope you are all prepared because I am not. Excuse the crabby-ness but I hate the cold. Plus, my darling Adrianna woke me up at 4am and would not go back down until 6am and Olivia woke up at 5:30am. On to happier things, yesterday I got to go with Olivia on her very first field trip! We went to the pumpkin patch. It was kind of cold but not terrible. We rode the school bus, went on a hay ride, picked pumpkins, picked Indian corn right off the stalk and had a picnic lunch. My only complaint was my camera died. It has gone through 3 sets of new batteries in 3 days. Thankfully it let me take these pictures but I really wanted some with the corn picking and on the bus ride home and at my brother's football game which they won again! It was all in all a great day. Adrianna had a wonderful time with Grammie and Papa. We have a busy weekend ahead and I will attempt to take pictures, at least I have my "big" camera.

9/29/08 We have had a busy week. Grammie bought Olivia a big girl bike and she couldn't be more excited! We went and bought training wheels on Friday and Grandpa put them on. She is pretty good at riding for only doing it a couple of times. She can go pretty fast. On Saturday her preschool had a fundraising walk with games for the kids too. Becca, Grace and her grandma were there. Pat and I were at our new church so my mom and grandma took the girls. They had a great time. This Wednesday we are going to the pumpkin patch with the preshool so look for pictures.

9/25/08 So it has been a couple of weeks. Preschool is going GREAT! When I ask her what did you do today, the answer is always what she had for snack. So at least we know she knows what is important- food! Let's see they have made apple pie, painted, learned songs and Bible stories, had picture day. Next week we get to go on a field trip! I am going with her and our dear friends Becca and Grace will be joining us! We will be going to a pumpkin patch. This weekend there is a walk to raise money for her school. Pat and I have orientation at our new church but my mom and grandma will take the girls. If my mom remembers to take pictures I will post them. We are in ECFE now too and LOVE that. Olivia has made a friend and I love to watch them play. They built towers together and then they played on this bridge they have there and pretended that there was water and sharks under it. I remember playing that at the park when I was little, how interesting what things stay the same. I love the imagination of a child. I hope everyone is doing well. Take care!

9/12/08 Since the weather is great today we decided to head to the dam. Well since we had all that rain there were quite a few fun puddles to jump in. Adrianna thought this was very entertaining. Of course within the first minute she fell in the water twice. But I figured we would be fine and just took her pants off since she had a onesie shirt on. Olivia wanted to go down and throw rocks in the river so off we went. Well Adrianna of course loves to go in the water after the rocks she throws. The sun was out and we were actually quite warm so I let her be for a little while. This is the bliss I know of having the privelage to stay home with my children. That I am able to leisurely take them to throw rocks in the river and if we get wet oh well. As we were walking back to the car, I was thinking how blessed I am to be able to do this and how thankful I am that I don't care if we get wet and muddy. Have a blessed day!

9/10/08 Tonight we were at my grandma's and I was making the garlic cheese bread. Adrianna was sitting at the table and I asked her if she wanted to help me and she said yeah and took one half off the pan and started eating it. It was hilarious, I finally convinced her (once I stopped laughing) to take just a hunk of it and let us share the rest. On a side note I forgot to mention we had Adrianna's 15 month appointment on Friday. She is 19lbs and 31in, she got four shots including the flu shot and I got my flu shot too. That is about it for now, we have Grandma and Pappy coming this weekend!

9/8/08 We survived! Well actually I wasn't worried about Olivia. This morning she had a good breakfast (apples and yogurt and milk) then she got dressed and ready to go. We got to school and she put her coat and backpack on her hook. Inside the room she had to put her apple magnet up on the board and gave me a present. The teachers had put together an adorable bag with a great poem about the first day being hard on the parents not the kids and they put a thing of kleenex and some hugs and kisses candy in it. We gave her hugs and kisses (Adrianna and I) and Olivia asked if Adrianna was staying and I said no she is too little and she was fine with that. Adrianna and I spent the morning at my grandparents house. Adrianna was lost without her sister, it was kind of funny to watch her play with the things that Olivia doesn't let her. I raced to pick her up and we got to say the goodbye prayer with everyone. Olivia had made a Jesus Loves Me necklace. It was yarn with a heart on it and the kids could put on froot loops. Some kids put a bunch on, others like mine ate most. Olivia had two on hers. Olivia said they played outside and had goldfish crackers for snack. She had a great time and I think it will get easier for me once we are in the routine of things. We got Arby's for lunch to celebrate since spicy fries are Olivia's favorite. Surprisingly, Olivia ate all the meat from her sandwich too. Sorry this got so long, have a great week.

9/3/08 Man, I sure didn't realize it had been so long since I updated this thing. Sorry about that. We haven't been doing too much and there aren't too many new pictures. We had orientation today for Olivia's preschool (thank you Becca for watching Adrianna). It was a lot of fun and I am glad that Pat was able to come with us. We also went out to lunch to celebrate and went to DQ with my mom and brothers. Adrianna and Olivia were entertaining a woman in the DQ with their wild silliness, it was hilarious. So Monday is the official first day of preschool. Please pray for me that I sleep the night before and don't have a panic attack as I drop off my little girl. She goes Mondays and Wednesdays and already has a field trip planned for the pumpkin patch, oh I hope I get to go! Have a great rest of your week, I get to go for a mommy day on Saturday with a good friend of mine to a craft fair and eating and then more shopping!! I will update after the first day of school.

8/18/08 Welcome back to summer! Boy has it been hot. We went to the Green family reunion this past Saturday and had a great time. Today the girls and I went to the park this morning and as you can see they found a way to entertain themselves while mommy was busy. It is a perfect spot for coloring so can't say that I blame them. We have a pretty quiet week but I get to go to the state fair on Friday with Ang and Nicki- YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For those of you who don't know I am obsessed with the fair and would go every day if I were rich.

8/12/08 Here is Olivia showing off her climbing skills at the Dam. Yesterday Zach, Sam, the girls and I went with Becca, Grace and Sam to Rocket Park. The first time for all of us- AWESOME! We will definitely be going back. When we got there Olivia screamed "mama, look lots of slides and lots of bridges!". We stayed as long as possible but had to get dinner made and silly things like that. We may be headed back later this week. We have our Green family reunion this weekend otherwise it is pretty quiet around here. Three weeks from tomorrow Olivia has preschool orientation!!

8/5/08 Hello everyone! Well we are back, sad to say. We had such a great time. I am trying to work it so we go again next year. These are just a tenth of the pictures I took. They are not in any order because we used both cameras and I am not in the mood to sort but you can see what we did and be jealous of us. Olivia had a great time and loved fishing. Adrianna loved being outside so much and playing in the sand. I am coming on with a migraine at the moment so that is all for now, I will post soon.

7/19/08 We have had a busy couple of days around here. On Thursday we went to Chuck E Cheese, the best part was I spent $0! We went to Como with my friend Connie and her two girls Jessie and Anne. We had a blast! We were there for four hours! Then we went to DQ for a free treat! Connie is the best coupon finder and thrifty gal, I love hanging around her! We have a quiet weekend but we will be getting ready for our vacation next week!

7/14/08 We had a FANTASTIC weekend. Olivia turned 3 on Saturday. We had some friends and family over for a BBQ. The weather could not have been any more perfect. Olivia received a lot of great gifts and it was just fun to be with our family and friends. On Sunday we went to Fort Snelling with my parents and brothers and that was a lot of fun. We are leaving for Olivia's 3 year check-up here in a few minutes so we can see how she is doing. Have a great week!
