This web page was originally created to update friends and family about JD, our youngest son who was born with a rare condition: fetal hydrops due to Rh incompatibility disease. For the last three years, JD has seen many specialists, had many tests done, and continues to receive services through a special education agency.
He has the diagnoses of profound hearing loss in both ears, and global developmental delays. In the past he had a diagnosis of blind, however that does not seem to be a major concern at this time. He is an adorable, funny, and whitty three year old who loves to torment his brother!
Today, we use this web page to update our friends and family about our entire family, including updates about JD. The newest story will be featured on the front page and the older stories are featured in the stories section. Please enjoy looking around. There are many photos to show you how big both of the boys are getting!
To read JD's story please go under the heading STORIES and it is story #1.
I can't believe that it is going to be the middle of November soon! Time is just flying by...
We took the boys trick or treating over by my grandmother's house. We didn't stay out too long because Jordyn was just getting over strep-throat. He missed school for three days and had to go to the ER twice. Now he has a cold or something and had to miss another day of school. I really don't understand how he is getting so sick...JD has not even had a slight runny nose! Hopefully he gets better soon.
Jordyn was a cat for Halloween and JD was a firefighter. They both looked very cute and both had a very good time. JD really got into it and knew to go to the houses with the lights on. I am not sure how he picked that up but somehow he knew it. He signed Thank You to every person that gave him candy. Very cute.
Not too much else is going on here. Just getting ready for winter. We were looking into buying a house but we are not sure if we can afford all that goes with homeownership. Maybe sometime in the future. Well, the holiday season is about to begin. The hustle and bustle that comes with it is about to start. In the busy times, remember those that you love and that love you in return.
Love,
Christina

We took the boys to the pumpkin patch last weekend. The place we go to is really good for kids. They have a train ride, animals, and a fun house. The boys had fun picking out their pumpkins and then having popcorn and apple cider. As Jordyn gets older, the holidays are more and more fun.
This weekend we had Berma and Poppy...

Jason and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary last weekend. We rented a cabin in the middle of the woods, on a five acre pond. The place was beyond amazing. All the comforts of home minus all the business of life. It was great to get away...just the two of us. We went fishing in between the rain. It rained a lot. Th...

I still check on you and something came to mind. I have a child with a cochlear implant. Is that a possibility for JD if he's totally deaf? I don't want to add more on you, but boy once his implant was in and activated he was like a new kid and starting talking within two months.
