January 2, 2009 Happy New year! Well, we are approaching the 35th week. I had another NST today. Everything is looking fabulous. I feel so lucky and blessed to have had such a good pregnancy. The gestational diabetes seems to be under control now. I have heard some stories about other mom's and have come to realize that I have had little to complain about. Next week we will start checking to see if I am dilating at all. I hope things progress quickly. I am so excited for Taylor to be here. I know she has dropped. My belly is on my lap now. Any day now hopefully.... Baby shower is next weekend. I am getting excited for that... should be lots of fun! I have alot of cleaning to get done somehow. If my house is a mess, I apologize in advance :-)

December 27,2008 I hope you all had a great Christmas. I can't believe how fast it goes by. We had our first weekly appointment with Dr. Meath yesterday. She did a non- stress test. She basically just put a fetal monitor on baby for about 20 min. She said everything looks stellar (her exact words)! Heart beat is great. She has good movement and no contractions. I was relieved. My blood pressure is still good and I lost another pound. My blood sugars are back to where we want them to be too. I hope that everything continues to stay good now until the very end.

December 20, 2008 So much for going to work today... I am telling you, I hate winter and hate snow even more. I really wish that we could live somewhere else! This has been the week from hell when it comes to driving... with all the snow. Someday, hopefully, Tim and I won't have such long commutes to our jobs. Our visit with the Dr. yesterday was good. My blood pressure is good. Taylor's heart beat was 158 and I am measuring at 33cm which is good. I start having to go in weekly now so she can keep an eye on my blood sugar. The fasting levels aren't dangerously high so, I will just have to change up the dosage on the pill she gave me. Anything I can do to prevent from having to take insulin at this point. We go back on the 26th for a non stress test. So far she sees no reason for any complications, unless baby gets too big. She is right where she should be now though... I think we will be okay. I really don't want a C- section! I can't believe she will be here in 7 weeks!! Merry Christmas to you all! Love, Julie and Tim

December 14, 2008 I guess winter is finally here. It is so cold outside! We took Lilly and Shelby to Petsmart today so they could get their picture taken with santa. After a few attempts we finally got one. I had to be in it...otherwise, they kept jumping down . It was fun though. Taylor is moving around alot. I can actually see her moving and feel her head. I keep waiting to see if I can feel or see feet and hands.. not yet.

December 5,2008 Hi there, we had a couple visits to the Dr. this week. I had an allergic reaction to something that caused a large rash on my thighs, arms and belly. OMG did it itch. Luckily, it's pretty much gone. I saw the OB Dr. today. I was disappointed cause I had to be put on medication for the diabetes. The fasting sugars are to high. I will try this for a week and see how I do. I really don't want to have to give myself insulin shots. I did loose about 6 lbs. so I guess that's one positive thing to look at with my "new diet." Heart beat was in the 150's and I am measuring at 32CM which is good. So we just keep counting down from here.

November 30,2008 Hope everyone had a very nice Thanksgiving. We spent ours with Tim's family. Dinner was awesome! Too bad, I couldn't eat that much. Me and the girls went to my parents yesterday. My mom and I went shopping. I guess I found some good deals, but nothing worth waiting in line as long as we did, at some places. Today I am pretty tired. I had another turkey dinner. I have to get back to being a good kid now. The holidays are going to be tough with this diabetes crap. Please pray that it's gone once the baby is born. I can't believe we are going to meet our daughter in 10 weeks. I can't wait anymore. I know she needs to stay put a little while longer, but I am wishing I can be done. 9 months doesn't sound as long as it feels. Now, it's time to get in gear and finish up all the last minute stuff. Soon Christmas will be here. Where in the heck did the year go? I have to take the girls to the vet today, I can't wait. Lilly doesn't mind so much, but Shelby is another story. It's time to get their nails did.... ha ha! Lilly will be getting groomed next Monday, then they are off to have pictures with Santa. I figure I better spoil them while I can. We took Lilly to see Santa when she was a puppy . Shelby hasn't seen him yet. Sure it will be a funny ordeal. Next Dr. visit is on Friday. I will update then on Taylor and me.

November 21,2008

Hi there, so far so good. I'm making changes to my diet and that is keeping my blood sugar low. It's not to bad. I just have to really not eat carbs or sugar. If I do, it can't be alot. As long as I can maintain this with diet and excersise there will be no need for medication. Hooray!

I'm starting to see my tummy move. It's the coolest thing ever. My girls get so confused when I'm talking to the baby, they think I'm talking to them and just stare at me. I have to wonder what their thinking. You should see them look at Tim and I when we are in her room getting things together. I keep telling them that they have a baby coming to live with them.

I got the results on the gluclose test. I have gestational diabetes. I'm bummed. I know it's common, but I don't get it cause I did all the things I should be doing. I don't even drink pop. So I'm meeting with the Dr. tomorrow and a diatician on Thursday. Hope that this won't affect Taylor at all. I will post some pics of her room later, it's all done besides some stenciling that we are trying to finish up.

November 14,2008 I barely survived the three hours of hell ! After I drank the glucose drink I thought for sure I was going to throw up.All I kept thinking was, please stay down. I didn't want to have to do it all over. They let me lay down and the second hour went pretty fast. I went in at 8:30 and didn't leave until noon. I really hope i don't have to do that again. I was starting to feel like a pin cushion not to mention we were starving! I should have the results on Monday. I'm not as worried now that I've talked to some people and heard it's not that big of a deal and pretty common in pregnancy. You just get so bummed cause i try so hard to do all the right things and eat healthy. Good news, My mom's results came back normal. They said things look fine so we are all very relieved again. Enough with the cancer please! This week at work we had our annual United Way charity campaign. There are various prizes entered for a raffle . All proceeds going to charity. I was the lucky winner of a Spa Package! It's so funny cause I had this strategy that I would by 10.00 in raffle tickets each day. I was asked yesterday, which prize i was going for I said, the spa of course. I rubbed the ticket on my tummy and just like that mama is going to the spa. I'm so excited!! Thanks to baby for bringing me some good luck :-)

Our prenatal class went well, I thought they would have talked about more things but at least we have the breathing techniques down now. Overall, I was kinda disapointed cause I didn't really learn much that I didn't know already. The nursery is pretty much done, we just need to do some touch ups and get the furniture set up. Looks really cute! Once i get some batteries for the camera, we can post some pics.

I have to go in for the "fun" 3 hour gluclose test on Friday morning. I guess I am a little high. Kinda scary. Hopefully, it's not a big deal and I can get it under control.

Please keep our family in your prayers. They found another spot on my mom's PET scan . She will go in today for a CAT scan. Pretty scary at this point as it's near the heart and if it does come back being cancerous they won't be able to do surgery. She will then have to go through Chemo again. I'm trying to stay positive, but it's hard when this is now the third mass they have found.

November 7, 2008 We had our visit with the Dr. today. I was tested for diabetes and they took some blood for blood type and hemoglobin. I should have the results in the next week. I've gained 9 lbs. since our last visit . Yikes! Taylor's heart beat was 154 and I measured at 28cm. I talked about all my aches and pains and now know that there normal. I know it won't matter at all in a few more months, but no one tells you that pregnancy is actually painful :-) Dr. Meath also told me that she's never had anyone be wrong on the sex of baby, so I'm feeling better about that. My BP is good and is well as usual. Tim and I are going to our birthing class tomorrow. Sunday we will be finishing up the nursery hopefully. I will try to post some more pics soon.

October 29,2008

Halloween is almost here. I can't beleive how incredibly fast 2008 went. We are going to be taking our childbirth classes here next weekend already. I'm excited and ready to hear all the stories and start planning . I have a million questions! I do know that I want to have natural childbirth. I'm a pretty tough cookie, I think... I've put up with Tim for over 5 years :-)

I don't want to complain, but I am getting so uncomfortable. Taylor moves so much and she kicks me now in the ribs, it's scary because sometimes I can't breathe. I have a feeling she is going to be a big girl ! You should see me walk, too funny! I guess that's what I get for having an office job. I've been trying to get up and move around more. Easier some days than others. My newest joy has been constant heartburn/ acid reflux. It's so weird cause I have it on a full or empty stomach. Now I know why Tim is always eating Rolaids. It's not fun. Only a few months to go.

Tim started on the nursery last weekend. I can't wait to see how it turns out. We will have so much more time to work on things and get things in order now that he's going back to Ford on Monday. Wish him luck , I will actually see him again :-)

October 20,2008

This weekend was fun, we went up to see my aunt and uncle. There was a huge bonfire, lots of food and nice weather. The dogs were so tired when we got back home.

My parents are coming out next week. I'm going to have them teach me how to make goulaush...(spelling?) yummy! Mama and baby are doing good. I'm getting tired again :0( Taylor is moving like crazy. I'm starting to get really anxious. I can't wait for her to be here! I keep telling Lilly and Shelby that their sister is coming. LOL

Tim's b-day is in two days... I can't beleive how old we, we'll he's... getting. HA HA. We both have the day off so hopefully, we will have the chance to do something fun. I would love for him to start painting the nursery, but we have to find a new home for the computer. It shouldn't be too much longer. I will post some pics so you all can see it start to come together.

October 10,2008 We had our check up today. Baby is measuring correctly which is good cause that means baby is growing as it should be. My belly measures at 24, Blood pressure was good and her heart rate was 156 today. The ultrasound results look good, Dr. Meath said, things are looking really good! Baby is moving more and more. Her kicks are strong. At the next appt. they will be testing for diabetes... shouldn't have anything to worry about. I can't believe that I've only gained 7lbs. It seems like it would be more.

October 6,2008

Today Tim and I are celebrating our first anniversary. Time flys!

Auntie Carrie brought over a bunch of cute little girl clothes, toys and blankets. It was fun getting them hung up and in babies closet. Thanks Carrie!Hopefully, baby really is a girl:-)

We went to a party this weekend for Bethany's daughters 4th B-day. It was alot of fun. Kayla was so excited when opening all her cool gifts! G-ma D (Beth's mom) brought a gift for the baby too. She gave us some really cute sleepers.

Mark your calendars. The baby shower will be on January 10,08 at our house, I think. Mom and my friend Jackie and taking care of the details. You will be seeing an invite sometime in the next couple months.

October 1, 2008

Happy October! I can't beleive that Tim and I will be celebrating our first year of marraige already. They say the first year is the toughest and we have survived:-)

The baby has been moving like crazy! I should say Taylor, I guess. Tim keeps saying, it could still be a surprise if it's a boy. LOL! Yeah, that would be something now that I've started to buy some little girl things here and there.

I'm a little nervous as I'm already so uncomfortable and my back really bothers me. I'm so sick of everyone saying, it's only going to get worse! I guess my dad was right, I should have lost some weight before I got pregnant. Can't help it that daddy feeds me so good.

Speaking of that, he will be going back to Ford November 1st. No more trying to make a meal for one person. Keep your fingers crossed that everything works out well! We couldn't survive another layoff, seriously!

September 23,2008

Hi again, the ultrasound went good. We found out that the baby weighs right around 13 oz. Everything looked good from what the sonographer told us. I have to wait until Oct. 10th before I see Dr. Meath to go over everything. They moved the due date again to Feb. 6th, which is okay by me, as it's two days sooner :-) It was so neat to see the baby.... she was moving like crazy. Yes, I opened my big mouth and the sonographer told us that because there wasn't anything sticking out through the entire ultrasound,  it was most likely a girl. She didn't sound 100% sure so I'm not going to go off of that. Hooray, that was fun. The heart beat looked so cool. Such a cool experiance!! I will post some pics too. We have 63 of them, I think .

Hello, I wanted to take a moment to tell you about Pumkin Spice. This is the name that my friend Jackie has choosen to call the baby. We laugh now all the time cause tis the season. Why she picked this to be the name is beyond me, but it is funny. We were at the thrift store yesterday and she bought a pie plate that said, pumkin pie. She even has hershey kisses that are flavored pumkin spice. The point I'm making is everything around us is called "pumkin spice"  from coffee to candy bars and candles.

Anyways, I think my parents are coming out this weekend to see all the baby stuff and the crib and changing table that they bought for "pumkin spice" Grandpa's birthday is on Sunday, Happy Birthday !!

Only 4 more days until we see our baby :-)

Sept. 15,2008

What a day, so I took a "me" day today . I only have about 60 hours of vacation to use here before Jan. so I thought I had better get busy. So , I was searching online for a closer dog park. I found one in Victoria and we drove all the way there to find out it was closed until 4:00pm. I decided then to drive to Prior Lake which is where we normally go. I know, I'm a sucker. We get there and I rolled up all my windows and left the car running with the dogs in there. I had to grab one of the pay envelopes, this took maybe 30 sec.  I go back to the car and the doors were locked!! I laughed and proceded to tell them to let mama in. LOL

Luckily, a nice lady let me use her cell and a Park Patrol guy came to unlock my car. I felt so dumb! He assured me though that I wasn't the first person this had happened to. Aw, I guess I shouldn't have attempted the puppy park today. I made the best of it. OMG, could you imagine what Tim would have done if that were him. O'wait, I'm sure he wouldn't have left his keys in the car while it was running. I learned something today! Dogs are capable of anything :-)

Sept. 12,08 All was well at the Dr.'s office today. All is well . Dr. Meath found the heartbeat right away this time. It was at 144. It keeps getting lower....for all of thinking it's a girl, I'm thinking your wrong. I just know it's a boy. No that's not because I want a boy :-) That's what gramma keeps telling me. Today is Shelby's 2nd b-day. I can't believe I now have dogs... no more puppies :-( I guess that means it's time for another one. HA HA I think Tim would kill me!
