PRINCESS EMMA - Stories

We had a great Christmas, Emma got everything she told Santa she wanted and more. When we went to see Santa she told him she wanted lots of things, she could not come up with anything specific at the time but when we left she had a list that we sent to him via email. The main things on her list, a pink car with no roof, a Barbie bike with no helmet cause she already has one and a broom so she can clean house with mommy.

We had 10-days off during the Christmas break and Emma got to do a few fun things besides get lots of presents and spend time with mama & papa. Mommy took her to see her first movie at the theater, we saw The Princess and the Frog. We stayed the whole movie but I will admit she asked several times if we could go home. The movie was a bit scary for her, she did not like the evil guy who turned the prince and princess into the frog. She ended up sitting on my lap most of movie.

And last, Sunday 1/3/10, the last day of our Christmas break my lil princess decided to color herself with marker as you can see in the pictures. Lucky for me they are washable markers!!!

Binkies are in the trash!!!!! Emma decided she was a big girl this morning and trashed her binks. She has done this a handful of times before but runs back to dig them out....ewww. I had daddy get them out and hide them and make sure the trash was empty before we got home. It is now bedtime and she asked for them but I told her the trash man came and got them today, she said mom the trash man did not come in our house, I said no he did not but daddy took the trash out. She started to cry and said but mom I wanted to give them to a baby, I told her maybe the trash man would see them and give them to a baby, she said no he wont they are at the bottom. I read her two books before bed and not another word was mentioned about the binkies!!! Lets hope it is that easy

As most of you know Emma has been sick for about the last 10 days, she had a nasty virus and strep throat. Today was her first day back to school/daycare in over a week and she was very excited.

Last week a little note, from Emma's teacher was sent home. It read Emma is having a bad week she is not listening and has an attitude. When I spoke to the teacher about what was going on she explained when its time for clean up Emma with just sit on the floor with arms crossed, head down, lip out and say NO. We are hoping for a better week this week!!

Ok, I have had no comments in a few weeks now. I think it is time to discontinue the website. I will take a vote before the final decision is made. Everyone who looks at this site is on facebook and I can post pictures and video on there so lets get some feedback "whats your thought".

Emma is now able to spell her name, sometimes she puts a few extra M's but loves to put her cheerleader outfit on and cheer her name. Now working on her address.

Her birthday party was the best ever, Mickey Mouse surprised her and the look on her face was priceless. She decided she would be a big girl and give her binky to Mickey but come bed time that did not go over so well. After about 20 minutes of screaming and kicking daddy yes daddy gave in NOT mommy!

Tuesday 5/19/09 was bring your bike to school day and so we took Emma's bike to school knowing she can not even peddle. When I arrived to pick her up the kids where outside playing as normal but when I opened the door to go get her I was so surprised to see her crusin down the sidewalk on her bike. My big girl has learned to peddle her bike and it the coolest thing ever. She has been crusing down the hall and around the table every night when we get home and she drives FAST (must get that from her dad).

I think its harder for me to adjust than her. Thursday morning was nice and warm so I put a pair of summer shoes on Emma when we got to school I was told by her teacher she is not allowed to wear open toed shoes...that did not go over well with me. I pay them why are they telling me what I can and can not put on my child.

I never understood those stupid rules either....she should be able to wear what she wants!! Do her shorts have to hang down to her knees too?!?!

Ours has that rule because of the wood chips on the playground...they tend to end up poking kids toes

We are finally home from surgery! Everything went well doc said she did good and in 3-months we go and get the tubes removed from her eyes.

She just finished eating Taco Bell so she is feeling much better and should be up and playing soon!

Emma is really into Mickey Mouse Club House at the moment, so we decided to take her to see Playhouse Disney! She really enjoyed Mickey Mouse but not much into the rest of the show. We had floor seats which was the first mistake, she could not see over the tallest man in the place which happen to sit right in front of her. We move seats and once she was able to get up and move around, stand in her seat she enjoyed it much more. I am not so sure it was worth the money.

Small update on the surgery that did NOT happen! Long story short, Emma woke up with a fever of 102 and they sent us home. We have to reschedule, I will keep you posted on when.

SURGERY again!!! Yup Emma goes in Friday for surgery on her eyes. They will go in and unclog her blocked tear ducts and then put some kinda sillicone tube in to help drain. She will have to go back in 3-months to get the tubes removed....that will NOT be fun! They will put her under for surgery but will not to remove the tubes.

About 2-weeks ago Emma saw a commerical with a 3-story Barbie house and said mommy "I need this" I told her she would have to ask Santa and if she is a good girl she might get one. Of course we are total finished shopping for her and we dont have a Barbie house. I thought she would forget about it but NOPE everyday since then she has been telling me Santa is gonna bring her a Barbie house. Needless to say we bought a Barbie house to add to the tons of toys for x-mas!!!

Emma went to see Santa today! She played shy but she did tell him she wants a "BARBIE HOUSE"!

Terrible "TWO's" have kicked into full swing! My lil princess has turned into the devil. She is doing all these bad bad things like saying she hates stuff and don't like people and of course the throwing fit thing has gotten completely out of control.

On a positive note she is doing very well with the potty training! She went 3-days all day with dry panties at school last week and over the weekend she went potty at someone's house and in a public restroom....what a big girl!!

We have not yet accomplished it...she had a set back the week of Thanksgiving!

Emma had her first Kickaroos class tonight! Kickaroos is a "Parent and Me Program" its a great introduction to soccer and daddy gets to play around too. She cried and stood in the corner for the first 30 mins of the class which only last 45 mins. Finally got warmed up at the end!!!

Emma did very well today in surgery. She was one crabby lil princess after...but was up and playing by bedtime. GO FIGURE

Emma is having tubes put back into her ears and her adenoids removed on Monday. Doc said recovery is 2 to 5 day depending on the child so wish us luck!!!

Good News! No reflux for Emma!! We went in for the VCUG test to see if her urine was backing up into her kidneys and it is NOT! The test was miserable and she is having a hard time going potty because of the discomfort but it should go away with a day or two.
