March 2, 2010  Poor little Logan!  His eczema is really flaring up to the point where he now has to have an antibiotic cream around his mouth and around his eyes.  His cradle cap is still pretty bad and causes him to scratch his head, so he still has to wear socks on his hands to keep him from scratching his head to shreds.  It seems as if our poor little guy has been suffering from something almost since the day he was born :(  Hopefully it'll all go away soon!  We were able to weigh him today, though.  He weighs 16 pounds 4 ounces now.  He is growing so quickly!    Up until this past Saturday night, we have been swaddling Logan's arms to keep him from scratching himself.  When I realized he was going to be 6 months old on Friday, we figured it was time to take his arms out too...just in case he rolled himself over in the middle of the night.  He's doing pretty well without his swaddle...we just have to make sure to put socks over his hands at night.

Gavin's speech is coming along really well!  He comes up with new things every day.  While we were in the car today,  Allison Krause's version of When You Say Nothing At All was playing (at Gavin's request).  Meanwhile, Logan is crying.  Gavin proceeds to tell me, "Logan crying.  Logan don't like girl singing."  So I asked Gavin what we should do.  Gavin then tells me, "Logan likes Yellow Submarine.  Logan likes Ringo."  So I ask Gavin if I should play Yellow Submarine instead.  He said, "Yes."  When I turned on Yellow Submarine, Logan stopped crying for a moment (so he could take a breath in between cries).  So Gavin says to me, "See.  Logan not crying. Logan likes Yellow Submarine."  What was I supposed to say to that?!?!?

February 21, 2010  SInce I've last updated this site, both boys have been to the doctor for bronchitis.  At least that's what I think Gavin had anyway.  I couldn't read the diagnosis on his receipt, but it's definitely what Logan had.  Thankfully, they're both all better now.

We started feeding Logan rice cereal on the 17th, and he LOVES it!  He kept grabbing my hand and pulling it towards his mouth for more!  It was so cute!  He can roll from tummy to back, and we're working on sitting up.  He still rubs his eyes and scratches his head all the time, so the poor kid still sleeps with his arms swaddled so that he doesn't scratch himself silly!  Hopefully his cradle cap and eczema will disappear soon so that the poor little guy isn't so itchy.  He takes it like a trooper, though.  He's almost always got a big ol' smile on his face! I can't say enough how lucky Brandon and I are to have such a happy and easy-going baby!

Gavin has been pretty busy this month too!  He can now climb up the climbing structure at Rafiki all by himself.  He also goes into the giant bouncy house all by himself and slides down fearlessly!  We took him bowling for the first time today, and he really liked it.  We went with his friend Brennan.  It was too cute watching those two little guys rolling the ball down the alley.  We ended up getting a ramp to help them, and Gavin seemed to enjoy himself much more after that!  We finished up our fun-filled morning with lunch at McDonald's.  It would have been the perfect end to a fun day for Gavin if he hadn't tripped and hit his front teeth on one of the tables :(  I really hope that he didn't do any major damage to his teeth!  I guess we'll be visiting the dentist this week!

January 10, 2010  Happy New Year!  The boys are growing up so quickly.  For daily updates on how they're doing, check out their blog at adventuresofgavin.blogspot.com.  My resolution for 2010 was to improve my photography skills by taking pictures every day.  As a result, I've been trying to post these pics on their blog.  It wasn't until my recent practice session on Logan that I realized just how much he and Gavin look alike.  It doesn't really seem like it when you look at Gavin now, but if you compare his pictures from when he was Logan's age, the two boys are extremely similar!!!

Logan has his four month well-child check on Tuesday.  I can hardly believe that he's already four months old!  Where does the time go????

Gavin is growing up so quickly too!  He is talking ALL THE TIME!  It just amazes Brandon and I how much Gavin speaks now.  It amazes us even more that if we don't understand what he's saying, he can describe it with other words until we understand what he means!  He's also testing us all the time to see what he can get away with.  The poor kid definitely spends some time in time out!

December 17, 2009  Wow!  It has been a while since I've last updated this site.  We've been super busy trying to get ready for the holidays. Logan is growing like crazy.  At his 2 month well child check on November 10th, he was 22.5 inches tall (25%),  weighed 11 pounds 3 ounces (40%), and his head was 16 inches around (75%).  We've been battling thrush off and on, and I think we've finally got it beat...for now.  When I took Logan to the doctor's office a couple weeks ago, he weighed 12 pounds 3 ounces, but that was with his clothes on.  I had to laugh out loud because he weighed almost half of what Gavin weighs, and Logan wasn't even 3 months old at the time.  I think Logan may outgrow Gavin's old clothes sooner that I thought he would.  Logan is now smiling and laughing all the time.  He is such a happy baby!  He even smiles at you when he wakes to eat in the middle of the night.  Many times, he'd rather just smile than eat.  His giggle is my favorite, though.  He giggles whenever you tickle him under his chin.  It is one of the sweetest sounds!

Gavin is growing up too quickly too!  He's stringing many sentences together now, and he doesn't forget ANYthing!  One of his favorite things to do right now is to help me cook.  When I ask him if he'd like to help me cook, he excitedly runs to get his stepstool so that he can help me in the kitchen.  Once he's on his stool, he starts rattling off a list of ingredients that he thinks we need.   His list usually consists of the following items...sugar, oil, butter, pizza, and sugar.  I guess he likes sugar!  It is SO cute!  He also loves to play basketball with Brandon.  He even takes his step stool to his basketball hoop, and "dunks" the ball.  When he does this, he tells us "dunk"  He can now count up to 10 consistently, and most times, he'll count to 13.  He's also working on cutting with scissors.  I showed him how to use them two nights ago, and he can now cut the length on a piece of paper.  He loves when he cuts a small piece off the best, though.  When he does this, he looks so surprised and then tells me, "came off"  It amazes me how much he develops each day!  Gavin is NOT a Santa fan, so I don't think that there will be any pictures with Santa this year.  When I asked him what he wanted Santa to bring him, he told me, "No Ho Ho."  I then told him that Santa brings him presents, and he replied with, "No Ho Ho.  No present."  I guess he really doesn't like Santa!  He loves snowmen, though.  Whenever we're out in the evenings, we have to drive by the houses with inflatable snowmen in their yards.  He even knows where I need to turn to get to those houses.  I hope this doesn't mean that we'll be getting one in our yard anytime soon!

November 1, 2009  Happy Halloween (a little late)!  Our day started off by getting the H1N1 vaccine.  Being the great dad and husband that Brandon is, he waited in the cold for nearly 4 hours to insure that we could get the vaccine.  We told Gavin that he would have something put up his nose and that if he did it like a good boy, he could have a piece of candy.  Being the candy lover that he is, he agreed and took his vaccination like a champ!  He didn't seem to be bothered by it at all (thank goodness!) and now I don't have to worry about him getting that nasty strain of the flu!

After dinner, we took Gavin to several houses in the neighborhood for some trick-or-treating, and  wehad a wonderful time.  Gavin was too shy to say anything to anyone who answered a door, but as soon as they closed the door, he would say, "More house" because he wanted to go to more houses.  He loved getting Halloween candy too!  He clung to his bag so tightly, and once he sat in his stroller, he dug right in to see his loot.  He pulled out a piece of candy and asked me to open it for him.  We gave in and let him eat a bag of Skittles as we trick-or-treated.  His favorite part of Halloween, though, was giving candy to all of the different kids.  He would say, "bye bye" to them as they left.  He even told one child, "Bye boy. I love you!"  It was so sweet!

Logan was dressed up too (he was a monkey), but he spent most of the time eating and then sleeping in the sling.  The only time he came out of his sling was while we were at Uncle Brad and Aunt Lorrie's house.  He'll have fun next Halloween though.

Gavin is enjoying his Halloween candy so much that he asked for yummies before lunch today.  I asked him if he wanted something to eat for lunch, and he said, "No, other yummies."  When I asked him what yummies he wanted, he told me, "M&M's"  I guess he really likes his candy!

October 25, 2009  Gavin had his 2 year well child check-up last Thursday, and he is 35 inches tall (60%), weighs 25 pounds 5 ounces (15%), and his head is 19.25 inches around (55%).  He also got the first of 2 shots for the  Hepatitis A vaccine.  When we walked into the doctor's office, he announced, "No shot!".  I told him that he had to get one shot and that he would get a surprise when he was all done.  When the nurse walked into the room, he again declared, "No shot!".  Again I told him he would have one shot and then get a surprise.  He took his shot like a big boy with only a few tears that quickly disappeared when I pulled out his surprise...a bag of fruit snacks, his favorite!

We brought Gavin and Logan to Boo at the Zoo yesterday, and Gavin got to give trick-or-treating a try.  He wasn't really into it, but he sure did like holding his trick-or-treat bag!  He got a few pieces of candy, but he was way more interested in looking at all of the children in their costumes, as well as the different characters that were wandering around the zoo.  He kept calling their names, but when we would walk over to them, he would tell us no.  So when we walked away, he wanted to go back.  I guess he just wanted to admire them from a distance :)

Gavin also got to experience pumpkin carving this weekend too!  He was really interested in the pumpkin guts.  After he and Brandon pulled all of the guts out of the pumpkin, Gavin and I cleaned the seeds off and roasted them together.  He helped spray some oil on them, shake some salt, and put them in the oven.  After they were done, we ate them for snack.  Gavin seemed to enjoy trying them, but I don't think he liked them too much.  He kept chewing them up and then wiping them off his tongue :)

October 17, 2009  We've been pretty busy since the last time I updated this site.  I've successfully managed two weeks without any help from grandparents, and I can definitely say that life with two children is MUCH easier WITH help from grandparents!  I'll get the hang of it eventually :)

Since I've stopped nursing Logan, Gavin has been adjusting to life with a baby brother much better.  He even tries to help me feed Logan his baby's toy bottle.  It is so cute!  Logan seems to be much happier as well (without the baby's toy bottle being shoved in his mouth, of course!).  He is growing up so quickly!  He weighed 8 pounds 14 ounces when we went to the doctor's office on October 9th.  Before I know it, I won't have a little baby anymore!

Gavin celebrated his 2nd birthday with his Goong Goong and Po Po this year.  We went to Harry's for dinner (his favorite place to go to dinner), and then came home and ate cake and opened some presents.  The look of delight on his face when we sang Happy Birthday to him was priceless!  He loved it so much that he had us sing it to him several times, and he blew his candles out each time!  He loved all of his presents from his family too!  Brandon and I bought him his first digital camera.  Goong Goong and Po Po bought him his first tricycle.  Grandma and Grandpa Yallaly bought him a basketball hoop.  Aunt Tina gave him a Tag Reader and book.  Aunt Emmy gave him a bunch of Elmo stuff and a Florida Gator shirt.  Uncle Brad also gave him a Florida Gator track suit and some toy dinosaurs.  What a wonderful day!

We had Gavin's birthday party today, and he had a lot of fun playing with his friends.  He was a bit shy at first, but once he warmed up to having all of his friends over at the same time, he had a blast!  He colored pictures of Elmo, played Pin the Nose on Elmo, ate an entire slice of pizza all by himself, and enjoyed some yummy cupcakes (the frosting on them).  Gavin enjoyed having his friends over so much that he got upset when it was time for them to go home!

October 2, 2009  I can hardly believe that almost a month has passed since Logan's birth!  I know I'm not supposed to wish away their baby years, but I honestly can't wait for the first 3 months to be over.  After that, time can slow down for us :)  Gavin is still adjusting to being a big brother.  It has been a very difficult transition for him to have to share all of my attention.  Thankfully, Brandon has been the most amazing father and spends just about every spare second he has with Gavin.

I brought the boys to the doctor to see how much weight Logan has gained this past month.  He now weighs 8 pounds 9 ounces with a onesie and a jumper on.  He's also 20 inches long.  Gavin weighs 26 pounds 1 ounce, but that's fully dressed, including his shoes.  They are both growing so quickly!

Logan had his first bottle of breast milk last night.  I was worried he wouldn't take a bottle since he's only been nursed, but after a little encouragement, he took a bottle!  Yay!  Now all I need to do is get a stash of milk built up so that I won't be tied to Logan 24/7.  This however, is easier said than done!

We're keeping busy trying to survive each day. Gavin's latest favorite thing to do is watch Elmo videos.  I know I said that I never wanted a couch potato for a kid, but his Elmo videos seem to keep him distracted while I nurse Logan.  My hopes are that once he gets adjusted to having a little brother, we'll be able to decrease the Elmo video time.  He is learning some stuff while watching, though, so I guess that's the bright side of it.  He also loves to color and draw pictures, and we're working really hard on remembering to draw on paper ONLY!  :)

I'll try to upload some new pictures soon, but things have been so hectic that I haven't had much time to take any.

9/14/09  It didn't take long for us to have to go back to the doctor's office.  We were just there on Friday for Logan's well check-up, but we had to go back today for Gavin.  He's got bronchitis...poor baby!  I did find out that he weighs 24 pounds 10 ounces, but that's with a t-shirt and jeans.  He is 34 inches long too.  My little baby is gone...I've got a big boy who just keeps getting bigger every day!

While we were at the doctor's office, I took the opportunity to weigh Logan.  With a sleeper on, he weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces!  He's getting bigger every day too!

September 5, 2009  We're so proud to welcome Logan Wun Loong Yallaly to the world!  He was born this morning at 8:21 a.m., weighing in at 7 pounds 1 ounce and 21 inches long!  Logan's spontaneous birth was definitely different from Gavin's planned induction.  I must admit...I prefer the induction method rather than the spontaneous one!  What can I say except that I'm a planner!

I went in for a non-stress test yesterday morning for my gestational diabetes when the nurse informed me that my contractions were very regular at 10 minutes apart.  As the day progressed, I stayed in bed, as per Brandon's wishes, but my contractions got stronger.  I just needed to hold out until today so that Grandma Yallaly could get here to help take care of Gavin.  Around 2:30 in the morning, I woke up to use the restroom (thank you pregnancy!), and had a BIG contraction.  Well...they kept getting stronger and stronger, and were staying strong at 10 minutes apart.  Around 3:30 I decided to call the on-call doctor and ask if I should go into the hospital even though the contractions were still 10 minutes apart.  After about 20 minutes, I still hadn't heard back from the doctor, but my contractions were getting even more painful (I didn't even know that was possible!).  I decided that I should get dressed, and we called our wonderful neighbors to ask them to come over and stay with Gavin.  Did I mention how wonderful our neighbors are...who else would have willingly come over at 4:00 in the morning just so they could be woken early on a Saturday morning to a nearly 2 year old who wanted to throw his pancakes across the room?!?!?!?

Anyway, by the time Brandon and I got to the hospital, my contractions were about 4 minutes apart and I was dilated to nearly 6 cm.  The pain from the contractions were unbelievable, and needless to say, words that are inappropriate and rarely used by most people with the exception of sailors, came flying out of my mouth.  The miracle man, my anesthesiologist, finally came through and gave me an epidural and all was right in the world once again!  The rest of my labor was a complete breeze!  I only pushed for about 10 minutes, and Logan was born!

He is as sweet as could be, and we are all doing well!  After Gavin wakes up from his nap, he'll come to the hospital to meet Logan for the first time.  I'll try to get that on video, and if not, there will be some pictures at the very least.  Hopefully, he'll love Logan instantly the way that Brandon and I do!

July 6, 2009  Happy belated Fourth of July!  This past month has been pretty busy, and Gavin is continuing to change and grow every day!  At his last doctor's visit (at the end of June), he weighed 23 pounds 2 ounces and was 33 inches long.  He jibber jabbers all day long, and he loves to pretend.  One of his favorite things to do right now is to "talk" on the phone.  When you ask him who he is talking to, he usually tells you it's Dada, even if it's Dada who's asking him!  He'll wander around the house having an imaginary conversation which usually consists of, "oh, oh, oh....oh...no no...I love you...bye" and then he puts the phone down.  SO CUTE!

Gavin's speech is really starting to progress.  He now answers with yeah and no.  The "no" is taking a bit of getting used to.  I guess we're welcoming the terrible twos whether I like it or not.  For some reason, it's harder for me to accept when he verbally tells me no than when he shakes his head no. This past Friday (7/3/09), he learned how to say "Oh man" and  he actually used it in the proper context yesterday (7/5/09) when I told him that he used up all of the water and had none left to wash his toy truck.  I was in shock!  He also learned how to say "what" today.   I guess I'm going to have to REALLY watch what I say from now on!

Grandpa Yallaly came to visit for Father's Day, and we had lots of fun.  Gavin is STILL asking for his "ba-paw."  We celebrated Father's Day with a little picnic along the Payette River.  I took a picture of Gavin on the same tree stump that we took his picture on last July, and boy oh boy, 11 months makes a HUGE difference!  Last year, Gavin was more than willing to just sit on the stump while I took his picture.  The same can NOT be said this year!  I was only able to get off one shot before he wanted off the stump.

June 9, 2009 We had a wonderful time in Disneyland!  It was our very first family vacation with just the three of us, and it was so much fun!  Gavin loved every minute of it!  His favorite ride was the carousel.  He would tell his horse to "go" and pat it with the safety belt.  He also loved the Teacups, Casey Jr's Circus Train, and Buzz Lightyear's AstroBlasters.  Now that I think about it, he loved just about every ride we went on with the exception of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and Roger Rabitt.  He would always ask for "more" when the ride ended.

Gavin loved all of the shows and parades too!  He danced and clapped along.  He even sat through a 40 minute Aladdin Musical.  He sang along with Aladdin and Jasmine to "A Whole New World."  I'm sure the lady in front of us was thrilled with that seeing as how he was singing in her ear!  He even jumped up and down with excitement during one of the songs.

He was a real trooper too.  We could hardly believe how much stamina the little guy had.  He would wake us up first thing in the morning, take an hour and a half to two hour nap in his stroller and wouldn't go to sleep until almost 10:00 at night!  Every morning he would wake up with the biggest smile all excited and ready to go.  On our last morning there, Brandon and I were practically sick thinking about how disappointed Gavin would be when we didn't take him into the park.  Luckily, he thought that the shuttle ride to the airport was a good ride.  He even asked for "more" when we arrived at the airport!  I was expecting him to be a complete monster once we got home, but he has been wonderful today.  He even slept in a bit!  He took a great nap, and he went to bed on time!!!!!!!!!!!  Wow!  His little brother certainly has some BIG shoes to fill!  We had so much fun that Brandon and I can hardly wait to go back again with Gavin and his little brother!

We took tons of pictures and videos.  I'll post some videos on his blog soon, so check it out if you get a chance.

May 25, 2009  Gavin went out on the boat for the very first time today, and he had a blast!  "Uncle" Brad and "Aunt" Lorrie were nice enough to invite us out for a really fun day at Lucky Peak.  Gavin even got to drive the boat!  I've posted a few videos of him driving the boat and splashing at the lake on his blog because I didn't have enough space on this site to do it.  If you get a chance, you can take a peek (http://adventuresofgavin.blogspot.com).

May 24, 2009  It's been a while since I last updated this site, and boy oh boy has Gavin grown!  He now weighs about 25 pounds.  Not only has he grown physically, but also mentally.  He understands SO much that it amazes me.  Just the other day I brought him to a toy store and told him that I thought one of the toys was creepy.  Apparently he really liked the word and immediately began saying it...only when he says it, it sounds more like pee pee.  So he's walking around the store saying creepy.  He's STILL talking about the "pee pee" toy that we saw at the store the other day!  I guess I really need to start choosing my words carefully because who knows what words he'll decide to repeat over and over again! It seems like he's able to say more and more new words with each passing day.  He has started saying Emmy, Elmo, arm, and elbow.

He also LOVES playing in the water!  He asks to play in his pool almost everyday, which is then followed by asking to shoot Ginger with the hose.  He absolutely loves splashing around in the water features at the parks, especially when there are other kids to play with.  He gets so excited that he actually shakes!  Speaking of other kids, Gavin has started to try and make friends.  Whenever he sees other children that he likes, he'll walk up to them and pat them on the arm and then say hi.  It is too cute!  I'm guessing we'll have a social butterfly on our hands!

April 10, 2009  I can hardly believe that Gavin is going to be a year and a half old next week! Time sure does go by quickly!  We have gone to 3 egg hunts this week, and Gavin is a seasoned pro!  He looks for the eggs and knows to put them in his basket.  He even knows that there are goodies hidden inside the eggs.  We dyed Easter eggs today, and he had a great time.  His idea of dying eggs is to take the egg and slam dunk it into the bowl of dye.  It's a good thing I put some newspaper on the table before we started dying eggs, otherwise my white table would now be multi-colored!  After the eggs dried, he decorated the eggs with stickers, and he had a wonderful time doing that too!  I can hardly wait for him to see what the Easter Bunny brings him in his basket on Sunday.  I'll be sure to post some pictures of him opening his basket.

March 27,  2009  Gavin is sick...AGAIN!  He has bronchitis...AGAIN!  Poor thing.  It seems as though he keeps getting sick soon after he gets better.  I can hardly wait for cold and flu season to be over.  We did get to find out how much he weighs, though.  He is a whopping 22 pounds, and we finally switched to size 4 diapers!  They measured him at 33 inches, but his toes were pointed when they took that measurement.  He's probably closer to 32 inches.

He is developing by leaps and bounds.  He says over 30 words, if you count animal sounds as the word for the animal.  He can tell you "beep beep" if he wants you to move out of his way, and if you ask him, "Who's the best?", he'll quickly raise his hand.  He even pretends like he's missing by looking down or facing a wall when you ask him, "Where's Gavin?"  and a few seconds later, he'll look at you as if you just found him.  I'm going to try and get those on video sometime soon.

March 8, 2009  We've got some news to share...Gavin is going to be a big brother in September!  We are so excited!  After spending a week playing with his cousin, Reagan, I'm positive that Gavin is going to be a WONDERFUL big brother.

We just wrapped up our 2nd annual ski trip to McCall with Brian, Katie, Reagan, and Grandma and Grandpa Yallaly.  We had a blast!  Gavin went sledding for the first time, and he absolutely LOVED it!  Before the sled even came to a stop, his little hands were signing for more!  I've posted some pictures for you to see.  Gavin and Reagan played really well together.  It was so much fun to watch them play.  Gavin kept wanting to hug Reagan...SO CUTE!  We can hardly wait to go again next year.  Now we just have to find a bigger cabin to rent!

February 10, 2009  Happy belated New Year everyone!  I have been a website and blog slacker in the biggest way.  We had a great time in Florida visiting both sets of grandparents and old friends.  Gavin loved playing in the sand at the beach, as well as walking around Downtown Disney.  I posted a few pictures of our trip, and I will put more up soon (they're taking FOREVER to load).

When we got back from our trip to Florida and started to get back to our usual routine, Gavin came down with the stomach flu, which meant that I got it soon after.  It is a horrible thing to watch your child feel so miserable and there is absolutely NOTHING that you can do to make it go away.  I couldn't feed him for about a day (as per doctor's orders), and the poor kid sat by the fridge, pointing at a loaf of bread, and cried the most sad and pathetic cry for food.  It was absolutely AWFUL!  He lost 2 pounds from that nasty bug.  Thankfully, we've recovered from that!

Gavin got his first haircut today.  He was such a good boy for it too.  He sat really still while the lady cut his hair on the back of his head.  When she tried to cut his hair by his ears, he would try to push her hands away.  He stopped pushing her away, though, after I gave him a fruit snack to hold.  What can I say?  The boy LOVES his fruit snacks!  Afterwards, he got a balloon, and he was in heaven!  He looks like such a big boy now!  Where did my little baby go????

November 18, 2008  Gavin has his first ear infection!  He ran a fever of 101.6 on Saturday, and by Sunday, we thought his fever had broken.  But by Monday morning, he had another low-grade fever.  I thought it better to be safe than sorry, so I took him to the doctor.  He weighed 19 lbs. 8 ozs, and he measured 31 inches long.  I'm glad I brought him to the doctor since he does have an infection in his left ear.  Poor baby...he's taking it like a champ, though!

As if he wasn't in enough pain, he fell and cut his face today. He was walking in our bedroom when he fell and hit his face against the bed frame.  So now he's got a small cut near the outer corner of his right eye.  I'll try and take a picture of him tomorrow and post it for you all to see.

As for his walking, he's doing more and more of it every day.  He now loves to push his toy all around the house at extremely high speeds, all the while giggling his little head off!  He laughs even harder when I chase him.  It's so cute!

November 8, 2008  Gavin went for his one year well-child check-up and shots on Thursday, 11/6/08. He weighed in at 19 lbs. 4 ozs, which put him in the 10th percentile for weight.  He measured 30 inches long (55th percentile).  He got all of his shots, and he took them like a champ!  I forgot his Tylenol at home, but I did remember to bring some chocolate chip Teddy Grahams.  He had one in each hand while he got his shots...all four of them.  He cried and cried, but he got over it quickly.  He did give the nurse a look as if to say, "What did I ever do to you?"  He was a bit cranky for the rest of the day, but nothing that was too terrible.  I'm just glad it's over.  I absolutely HATE taking Gavin to get his shots!

He's walking now.  He decided to take about 10 steps yesterday while I was on the phone (not paying attention to him!).  After dinner that night, we practiced walking some more, and he continued to take step after step with more and more confidence.  Gavin showed off for his Goong Goong and Po Po over the webcam, so they were able to see him take a few steps.  He is such a ham!  I guess I can't call him my baby anymore.  He is now a toddler.

He is growing up so fast!  I can hardly believe how quickly he has become a walker.  It's amazing how much they can develop in such a short amount of time.  He already knows several words too.  He can now say: mama, dada, ball, balloon, Ginger, and baby.  Every once in a while he'll say pee pee while he points to himself too.  He can identify his own belly button, as well as his boy parts.  He can point to your nose, but he can't point to his own yet.  I think it's because he can't see it.
