How hard is it
to build a website using BabyHomePages.net?
You will be surprised at how easy it is to build a site. You do
not need any special tools or software. If you can send an email,
you can build a website. Once you sign up, you will be able to enter
your own administration area on your website where you enter your
information, stories, picture and everything else using only your
web browser.
How will
BabyHomePages.net use my personal information?
BabyHomePages.net will not share ANY of your personal information
without your consent with anyone ever.
What
privacy features does BabyHomePage.net offer?
There are three different ways to make your site private. You can
access them on the "Options & Security" page of your
Administration Area.
1. The "Hide my Site" option keeps your site from appearing
on any of the BabyHomePages.net lists (like on the front page) and
BabyHomePages.net search results. It will also attempt to block
your website from showing up on web search results (like Google).
2. You can also protect your site with a password on the “Options
& Security” page. This allows only people who have the
username and password to view your site.
3. You can block individual IP addresses from viewing your site.
Please note: An individual computer’s IP address usually changes
over time. Dial-up web surfers will probably have a different IP
address every time they connect to the Internet.
How do
I cancel my account and delete my site?
It's easy to cancel your account and delete your site. Just follow
these steps:
1. Log in to your administration area
2. Go to the "My Account" page (the link is at the top
of your administration area)
3. Premium members:
" Click either "Cancel Premium Site and Keep a Free
Site" or "Cancel Premium site and Delete This Site"
.
If you are not a premium member, click "Delete this
site".
Why did I get
an email containing my username and password?
It might be because someone viewing your site accidentally clicked
the "Forgot password?" button. When someone clicks that
link the username and password is emailed to the owner of the site.
This keeps your username and password safe from anyone wanting to
break in while making it easy for you to recover your lost password.
Don't worry, if you didn't click the button, the person who did
still does not know your user name or password. It just gets sent
to your email address.
Can I have
more than one site?
You can create as many sites as you want, but only one of them can
be a basic (free) site. The others must be premium sites.
To add another site to your account, click on the "Create another
site" link on the top left side of any page in your administration
area.
My site
is missing. How can I get it back?
If you have not updated your site in 90 days, it gets deleted. However,
if it has been less than 90 days since your site was removed, it
can usually be restored. Please contact us with restore requests.
Be sure to include your site name and any other information that
will help us find your site.
How are
subscriptions renewed? What happens if I cancel?
Subscriptions are automatically renewed. If you do cancel your subscription,
your site will remain a premium member until the end of
the billing period. After that it will be downgraded to a basic
(free) site. Free sites remain active as long as you update it every
90 days.
Can I pay
using a check?
If you do not wish to pay using your credit card or PayPal you can
pay by mailing a check or money order. In order to do so, please
print and fill out this form,
and mail it to the address listed.
How do
I change my method of payment?
If you have a credit card subscription you can update your billing information here. If you have a PayPal subscription you can update your biling information at PayPal.com. If you would like to change from a credit card to PayPal or from a credit card to Paypal, use the following these
steps:
1. Log in to your administration area and cancel your current subscription
from the ‘My Account’ page. Your site will remain a
premium site until the end of that billing cycle.
2. After canceling, you will see the expiration date of your account
on your ‘My Account’ page.
3. To change to another payment, simply upgrade to a premium membership again.
Quick note: Even if you let your subscription lapse, you can sign
up again within 6 months to get all of your pictures and everything else
back.
My baby is big kid, can I get to my site without using "BabyHomePages.net" domain name?
Yes. You can go to either http://www.EasyHomePages.net/YourSiteName or http://www.KidsHomePages.net/YourSiteName and see your site exactly as it is on BabyHomePages.net. You can also purchase your own unique domain name for your site.
A page one my site is really wide. How do I fix it?
This happens when there are a bunch of characters without spaces in between them. Like, "Congratulations!!!" followed by 7000 exclamation points in your Guest Book. You can either delete a few thousand exclamation points or you can add some random spaces in between some of them to fix it.
