Hi, cutie pie! I saw the picture of you and your "binkies"....well, two are always better than one! And your video...it looked like you were in Mesopotamia with your Dad, seeking the very last drop of agua! Tweeth, Tweeth, Tweeth...I can hear the frantic sucking now! Bet the water your Mommy gives you is a bit more pure than that which your Daddy is drinking at the moment! But then...he lives in a PALACE! He should be receiving the best! But I rather doubt that Evian is on his menu for the day! You are getting bigger by the moment! By the time that you meet Nicole Patricia you will be walking, I suppose! She went to the pediatrician today but her Mom and Dad were tired of waiting at the end of THREE hours and went back home! The neighborhood down by UTEP was pretty rough and Uncle Chris and Aunt Carmen saw a middle-aged man mugged right in front of the Doctor's office by a punk who beat him up pretty bad in a fight over his wallet(he lost several teeth and was bleeding badly)..so tell your Daddy that ALL the BAD GUYS aren't where he is! Uncle Chris went out to help the guy and called 911 but didn't have the energy to chase the punk! Your great-grandmother...(ME) chased down a punk in Santa Fe a few years ago who robbed her husband's cousin's wife (that's pretty complicated)...and I chased him for a block and a half before he jumped into the back seat of a car full of his accomplices and got away! While I was running (at age 67) I memorized the license plate of the jerks who stole her purse off of her lap by reaching in the window of our parked car! The cops interviewed us and tracked down the car...but they chastized me for going after the crooks! Well, it was a gut reaction and I just did it! Couldn't do it now as I have no connecting tendon in my left leg bones...and have a bulged disc that makes that leg pretty puny! But, gut-reaction runs in the family so, be prepared to go after the bad guys like your Daddy and Gigi-Mimi. Just kidding, Hunter....they wouldn't give a gun to me...I might lose may temper and shoot someone! Your Daddy is much more brave and controlled than me! Do your best to take after him! One of my friends has a nephew stationed in one of Saddam's palaces in Bagdad...and sent a photo home of himself swimming in Saddam's pool! I do hope they changed the water! She has dark hair (not too much of it) and what looks like blue eyes like yours, Hunter! We don't know how much she weighs and how long she is yet, but Jeane guessed about 7 pounds and 6 ounces! She is very, very cute! Everyone was really excited. But it is late now, about 11:25 p.m. and I am tired so you will have to wait for further details until tomorrow! Well the internet has been down for a few days and not much has really happened I went to the city yesterday for an Iraqi ceremony for some Iraqi police that died I had to set up the PA system for it that was interesting I didn't understand a word, and after they had tables full of food but it looked like more flies than anything so I passed, the Iraqis didn't care they were just gathered around the tables chowing down, no napkins no plates no utensils just hands tearing the chicken or whatever it was apart it was quite an interesting site. I've been taking quite a few trips down to the city lately for various things a few days ago I tried my first Iraqi food I had some kind of sandwich with some kind of lettuce and what looked like hush puppies it wasn't that bad actually but I'll stick to american food. The next day when I down there I was with the colonels personal escorts waiting for him to come out of a meeting and there were Iraqi kids everywhere they would come up to us and ask us for things, like money and candy, one little boy came up to me and asked me if I wanted to buy this blanket he was holding I said no thanks so he persisted to try to sell it to me he said "20 dollars not much" I said "no thanks man" his response was F*** Y** I was shocked he couldn't have been more than 8 years old I said "WHAT?" he said it again I told him to get the hell out of my face before I get really mad, I couldn't believe he said it to me and he knew what it meant too. When I came back to my FOB I told my boss what happened I told him not to send me down there anymore or I might beat up a little kid. Well I was told today that I might be going up north to the the brigade commanders radio guy he lives in a Palace in Tikrit so I might be living in a palace soon that will be nice but like everything else they've told me here, we'll see. But anyways I gotta get back to work love to you all. All our plans have changed regarding going to Auntie Lauri's...she's going to stay in the house another year while starting prerequisites for nursing school and then starting her nursing course. Bubba's not a goner yet...he's coming home next month and Lauri will keep him for a bit longer! Hunter...Bubba is your Auntie Lauri's giant German horse who she ride while all dolled up in a fancy outfit! You'll have to ask her about that.
