I wanted to tell you the other day when we spole that Carmen is going to English classes and Nicole is going to nursery school. She is having lots of fun, says Carmen. Also, the other day she rejected her binky so Carmen threw them all away! And she is eating everything from veggies to tacos...but her favorite is, you guessed it, spaghetti! She will have a great time with Hunter! Can't wait to see you all.....love and kisses -MiMi Sep 01 2006 Oh, H.P....that last video of you dancing looked like you were trying to spin around on the carpet like those guys in NYC do on the sidewalks! I really don't know what you call it? RAP? But you are becoming a master at it! We love seeing you dance and can't wait until you are back here so that you and Nicole can dance together. That is one of her favorite things to do! Tia Carmen told me that Nicole threw away her binky last week so Carmen gathered them all up and put them in the wastebasket. She is now drinking out of a cup and feeding herself with a spoon. She shares cookies with Pumpkin, too. She takes a bite and then Pumpkin takes a bite and then she takes another! I was playing with her yesterday and she climbed into a cardboard carton and lie down and then I would close the lid. She would pop out with a big smile and say Dah! Dah! You and she will have lots of fun together when next you visit! And guess what? Because of all of the rain Uncle Chris' backyard is completely green! It no longer looks like my back yard! Mine just had a greenish mold growing on top of the dirt! We had a new roof put on the back part of the condo and I think they FINALLY found the place where all of the water was coming down through the fireplace and the insurance gave us enough money for new carpet to take care of the roof and the painting! We are seriously looking for a one story home out in Santa Teresa now. Maybe we will have moved before all of you come out for the holidays....I hope you are coming at any rate! Britt.....I am mailing you another care package just for you....books and a surprise. Half of the books were mine (the hardbacks) and yesterday I stopped at a garage sale and there were some Danielle Steele books in a carton with about 15 others...I asked how much the books were... and the lady said I could have the whole box for a dollar! What a deal! If was over on Cumberland Circle near where your Mom lived as a little girl. I told the lady that I had sold three other great big (City Father)houses in her same block some years ago. So she invited me in to see her new pool and gave me a lead to sell another! You never can tell about what leads you to stop somewhere to check something out! Serendipity? Hunter....I love the way you ride your bike! That's the way I need to ride to burn up calories! You are too cool! Okay...that's it for today. I can't wait to see you again. Love, YaYa -YaYa Aug 20 2006 You are a true Water Baby, little guy!And that is all that your PaPa and his brothers and sisters wanted to do when they were little. We would go almost everyday in the summer time after I got off work and have a pic=A=nic at the City Park Baby Pool in Baton Rouge! It was actually a very big pool but only a foot deep in any one place. So they could run and splash and fall on their bellies and not get hurt. There great-grandmother had a large DEEP pool in her back yard and they all knew how to swim by ages 4 or 5. That's a very good thing to know in Louisiana. It's a good thing to know in El Paso right now as we are having flood after flood after flood. Victor is at an open house right now and I hope he comes home soon as we are supposed to have a very heavy rain again this afternoon. Did your PaPa tell you that he pulled a police car out of deep water where it was stuck? Good thing that he had his big, high truck! I am supposed to be cleaning my office this afternoon and I have a long way to go so I will say goodbye now and ask you to be a good boy, hug and kiss you Mommy and Daddy for me, and kneel down with Mommy beside your bed tonight and say your prayers..... Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep...If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. Then....all the God Blesses for your family, your friends, your pets and especially for Mommy and Daddy. Now that you are two is a very good time to start learning all that! You all look like you're having loads of fun with all of Greg's fine family. That little Megan is a doll! Cool haircut, Hunter! And that one special picture of Britt and Greg is a keeper! I have to buy some more photo paper for the printer so that I can copy that one! By the way....i couldn't seem to remember how to get to Hunter's web page this morning so I went to Google and typed in Hunter Paul Algorri and then go....and it came up! Hunter...you're on the World Wide Web! We are still living without much furniture in the living room. Waiting for the insurance adjuster to come. I think I'll go look at carpet today in case the adjuster comes next week. My damage is small potatoes compared to others. I have two acquaintances that I'm trying to help who lost EVERYTHING! The water rushed down their street and they were in the low end of a cul de sac on a ridge and the water rushed through their houses and took everything out the back wall and over the ridge knocking down the rockwall as it went. 7 people on that one street had immense damage. Their street was about 8 blocks above Kelly and Karin's house on the mountain side. AND...we have a 50% chance of rain for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. All of the golfers in the family (Victor,Karin and Kelly) are out today as there is only a 40% chance of rain today and that's supposed to happen in the late afternoon. Well....must go...stay cool this weekend and Britt...am glad you're enjoying your box of goodies. Did you notice that their was a video in there for Hunter? I will call soon. Megan is a cutie pie and Hunter changes every day. We can't wait to meet Roseann and Mike, we should have met you when we were there this summer. It was so hot, I wouldn't have remembered. We did have the opportunity to meet Lynette and Phil, however, and we are very happy for you. If you ever come through El Paso, we would love to see you and Megan. You look like John Travolta with that shoulder/knee motion! And Britt....you sound EXACTLY like me on the old family videos we made when you were that age! That soft, little whispery voice trying to coach Hunter into performing! I swear, I thought it was me because Victor used to tease me and imitate me so much when I did it! His voice was always booming and saying "I'm gonna ZOOM IN!" Guess that you've received the email from me with Chris' photos of our great flood here! What a miserable time that has been. I can only imagine how the poor people along the Gulf and N.O. felt during Katrina! We are busy getting everything in a condition to start over in the living room.
