April-19-05 Hunter and I had a busy day today. We had lots of errands to run before we got started on packing. Hunter got an early birthday present today. I found an adorable little chair in a pottery barn kids catalog and Hunter's YaYa, PeePaw, and GiGiMoo got it for him as a Birthday present. He just loves it. He looks so cute in it. It is just his size! He has been a little cranky the last few days but I discovered he has two more teeth coming in on top so I don't blame him. He just keeps getting so big. I wish he had a pause button so that Greg could see everything. I talked to greg last night and he is doing good. It has been a hectic last few days there. Well I added about nine new pictures today. I will add more tomorrow. April-18-05 Well we are back in Savannah. We had a lot of fun visiting Krystal and her family down in Valdosta. Hunter is just in love with Lindsay and Lauren. It was so nice to see him playing with little kids. He has to be a little lonely just hanging out with his Mom. I am getting so excited about going to California on Friday. I am just dreading the packing. I absolutely dislike packing. It is so hard to travel with a baby. I feel like I have to pack everything, which I pretty much do. Well I added twenty new pictures to the site. Sorry about no new pictures over the weekend, it took me an hour to add the two I put on there on Friday. Well I will add more tomorrow. April-15-05 Well we are in Valdosta visiting my friend Krystal. We are having lots of fun. I got two pictures added but she has dial-up internet so it takes a long time to add pictures. I will try to add more pictures tomorrow. I will add more tomorrow. April-12-05 Hunter had his nine month check up today. He didn't like the doctor's office at all. He cried just about the whole time we were there. He just hates to be put on his back and unfortunately he had to be on his back a few to many times. He weighs 21 lbs 2 oz and he is 26 and 3/4 in long. He is in the 75th percentile in his weight and in the 10th percentile for his height. I really could have guessed he is in a low percentile for his height. I am pretty short and Greg isn't exactly seven feet tall either. The doctor said that he was doing just fine. He was a little grumpy for the rest of the day but he is in bed now. Earlier today when I got him down for his nap, I went up stairs to check on him and he had one binky in his mouth and he had another one rubbing on his cheek. I tried to take a picture but I don't know if you can really see it that well. I thought it was so funny because I think I remember Greg telling me that he used to run around with three pacifiers. Like father like son. Well I added just the one picture tonight. I will add more tomorrow. April-11-05 We had a very busy day today. We drove to Hilton Head, SC to go and walk around the outlet mall. It was such a beautiful day today. We had a lot of fun walking around and enjoying ourselves. Hunter has learned how to pull things off shelves though and everytime I would stop to look at something it seemed there was always something within his reach to pull down. I spent as much time picking things up as I did looking at stuff. All in all though it was a lot of fun. When we got home we went next door to our neighbors and visited with them for about an hour. Julie, our next door neighbor, is six months pregnant. She is having a little girl. She had a friend over that has twin little boys that are about 7 months old. They were all over the place. Hunter just sat in my lap and watched them. He wasn't quite sure about what to do. He finally learned how to feed himself his little Gerber puffs (baby cereal). He has been able to give himself cookies and stuff like that for a while but wasn't able to put the little puffs in to his mouth. He started doing it tonight and it was so cute. The only problem was trying to slow him down. He kept trying to put handfulls of them in to his mouth. That was really funny though because by the time the handfull got to his mouth it was really only one or two peices left in his hand. He got frustrated a couple of times and started to bang on the high chair tray. He couldn't figure out why I was laughing at him. I got some cute pictures and there are even a couple that show his bottom teeth. There are nine new pictures on the picture page. I will add more tomorrow. April-9-05 Hunter and I have been hanging out around the house and playing all the time the last couple of days. He is so active lately it is hard to keep him interested in anything for very long. He is getting better and better at pulling himself up on to things. Whenever he is in his playpen he walks all along the edges holding on to the rail. It is so funny, I wonder if he thinks he is getting somewhere? He has started on third foods and went straight to eating the whole jar, which is like twice the size of the other ones he used to have. The only one he doesn't like at all is the spaghetti one. That is so wierd to me, I could have spaghetti any day of the week. I tasted it though and it was so gross. So I don't blame him for not eating it. But I wouldn't eat any of it so I guess he just likes the other stuff that tastes bad. They are all just so bland tasting. The fruit ones are the only kind I could even imagine eating. He has his nine month check up on Tuesday. I can't wait to seee how much he weighs and how tall he is. I don't think his weight has really changed but I think he has definitely gotten taller. I talked to Greg a few days ago and found out that he won't be coming home for his leave in July. Now that he has a new job that got changed. He said that it will more than likely be in September that he comes for his two weeks. I am so disapointed. I made the mistake of getting really excited that it was getting close. I guess you just can't count on anything, especially this far in advance. Things could change at any minute. I just hope that it doesn't get pushed back any farther than September. I miss him sooo much and can't wait for him to come home! Well I added one picture tonight. I will add more tomorrow! April-7-05 Congratulations to my Uncle Chris and Aunt Carmen. There baby girl was born last night. Her name is Nicole and from the pictures I have seen she is just precious! I gave them a website as a birthday present so that I could make sure I got to see lots of pictures. There should be a link to her site on Hunter's front page by tomorrow. We had a very boring day today. It rained all day long so we stayed home. I think we are both going stir crazy. I am really looking forward to going to California in a couple of weeks. I can't wait to see Hunter's reaction to all of the little ones. He really needs to be around more little kids. I talked to Greg today and it seems he will no longer be coming home in July for his leave. It looks like it will be atleast September before he comes home for a visit. No new teeth yet but there are two more on the way. They are the ones on either side of his top front teeth. I think they were starting to bother him this evening because he was having a very hard time trying to go to sleep. He likes to chew on this thermal blanket. I guess it is the texture that he likes so much about it. Well I need to get him up to his crib. I hope you all like the new site and that it is easier to read for everybody. I decided to change it because it seems there were a lot of problems with it. I added sixteen new pictures. I will add more tomorrow. April-6-05 I just finished adding six pictures from yesterday afternoon. I would have added them last night like I usually do but I was up pretty late redoing Hunter's site. I hope you all like the dalmations. Well he got another tooth yesterday (bottom front right). So that makes three in two days. Needles to say they were a rough couple of days. He is in a much better mood today. It is still early though. I'm hoping he gets a break from the teething for a while though. I feel so bad for him when he doesn't feel very good. I just talked to greg on the phone. He is in Tikrit now and he really likes it so far. Well I have some cleaning to do but I will add more later today. April-4-05 Hunter and I had a lot of fun this weekend at Rosan and Mike's. It was nice to see them again. They had not seen Hunter in about three months. They were pretty surprised at how much he had changed. The traffic on the way up to South Carolina was horrible! It took us four hours to drive a normally two and a half hour drive. It was bumper to bumper almost the whole way there and nothing but rain. It was nice out yesterday though, the weather finally cleared up. We went with Rosan to the mall and just walked around and enjoyed ourselves. We always have good time when we go up there for a visit. I talked to Greg a couple of times over the weekend and I guess everyone read the comment about him maybe getting a new job and moving to a palace. I hope this job works out for him but I am not getting my hopes up. It seems these sort of things fall through a lot. Hunter was very grumpy today. He got two teeth today. He got one this morning on the bottom (front left) and then this afternoon he got his other top front tooth (he already had the top left now he has both). So needless to say Hunter and I have been playing since we got home. I tried to keep his mind off of it all day. He finally went to bed about an hour ago and hopefully he will be feeling a bitbetter tomorrow. I added ten new pictures from this weekend and I am just about to add some pictures that Greg sent me. I hope you all enjoy! I will add more tomorrow! Mar-31-05 The last couple of days have been kind of boring. We have been spending time at home just playing. Hunter is moving faster everyday. I have a feeling he has learned the word "no". The reason being is everytime he goes for something he is not supposed to and I tell him no he just looks at me, smiles and goes for it. He is so silly! He is upstairs taking his second nap of the day. He didn't get a very good nap this afternoon. He only slept for about half an hour because he fell asleep just before he was supposed to eat his lunch. He is just getting so curious about things now that he can move around. He follows me everywhere when we are downstairs. I am never out of his eyesight if he can help it. He is getting very attached I guess. I think this is the age were they start to develop separation anxiety. I am not sure but I think I read that somewhere. Well Hunter and I are going to drive up to South Carolina tomorrow to visit Rosan and Mike. It is going to be a lot of fun. We haven't gone up there for a visit since right before Greg left. Hunter has changed so much since the last time they saw him. Well I hear him waking up so I had better go check on him. I added some new pictures. I will try to add more tomorrow, if not there will be more on Momday. Mar-28-05 Today was a nice relaxing day. We went to our group and Hunter had lots of fun. He tried to teach his little friend Jacob how to stand up by himself and Jacob tried to teach Hunter how to crawl. It was soo cute! There were gray clouds out all day and I kept thinking it was going to rain but it didn't, I guess the clouds ran out of rain yesterday. It rained ALL day yesterday, it was horrible. There was some flooding downtown and tornadoe warnings all day. It was prety crazy. I can't help but feel bad for all of the little kids who didn't get to hunt for Easter eggs yesterday because of the rain here. Hunter has been having a bit of a grouchy day today I think his tooth is finally starting to bother him. Poor little guy! He has done so good with the teething so far. He just finally fell asleep a little while ago after many attemps to make him feel a little better. We found some new snacks for him today at Wal-MArt they are these neat little banana flavored cracker looking things. He likes them and they dissolve quickly like his puffs. Well we got four pictures taken of us using the timer on the camera. That kind of confused him but I just added them a few minutes ago. I will add more tomorrow. Mar-27-05 Happy Easter everybody! We had a bittersweet Easter today. Hunter had to say goodbye to his YaYa and GiGiMoo. We took them to the airport this afternoon. They were very sad. We won't be seeing them again until June probably and I am sure Hunter will be quite different by then. He is really going to miss them. We had a great time while they were here but I am sure Hunter is ready to get back on to a schedule. After we took them to the airport we just came home and relaxed. I spent time with Hunter trying to get him less afraid of his little push walker and so far so good. He just needs to get used to it moving when he leans over. He bounced on to his butt a couple of times but it didn't seem to phase him so we kept getting back up and trying again. He was taking steps with it after a while as long as I held on to his waist. I guess he just didn't feel very secure holding on to it with out me. He is taking his second nap for the day so he must be very exhausted after such a long and busy week. He usually only takes an afternoon nap for a couple of hours every day. Well, not much longer and we will be out in California. I am so excited to go and see everyone. But I especially want to see Hunter play with his cousins. He needs some interaction with other kids his age. Well I am going to try and eat some dinner while he is sleeping. I added sixteen new pictures so be sure to go and look at them. Don't forget you can see larger ones by clicking on the pictures. I will add more tomorrow. Mar-26-05 Hunter cut his first tooth! I thought he was going to be toothless forever. He got it in today. It isn't exactly a whole tooth yet but you can see it. I was so surprised to find it. He was chewing on my hand and it kind of hurt and there it was a little part of a tooth! I am so excited. As soon as I can get a picture of it I will try so that you can see it Baby! Well, we spent the whole day in Charleston yesterday. It was a lot of fun. It is so pretty there but it really reminds me of Savannah. We went on a carriage tour and Hunter slept the entire time. It was kind of rainy the whole day but I guess that is what umbrellas are for. After Charleston we just came home and relaxed for the evening, none of us wanted to get back in a car again. Traffic was pretty bad on the way home and it ended up taking us about an extra hour to get home. It was not very comfy. Today we went to Toys R Us so that YaYa and GiGiMoo could get Hunter some Easter presents. His YaYa got him a leap frog learning table that he is just enamored with and his GiGiMoo got him a phone that makes all kinds of noise and a little push walker. He is a little afraid of the push walker he is not fond of being off balance. He will take steps if you hold his hands but not when the wheels start to roll on the little walker. I am sure he just needs some time to get used to it. He is going to be walking pretty soon with his new toys to help teach him. Well my Mom and Grandma leave tomorrow to go back to El Paso, we are going to miss them but it will be nice to be able to relax for a few days. Well I just had to tell you all about Hunter's tooth! I added five new pictures. I will add more tomorrow. Mar-24-05 Yesterday we went to Forsythe Park and walked around. It was so beautiful! All of the azaleas were blooming and there were lots of beautiful oak trees that lined the walkway. Hunter had so much fun exploring the ground. He is so curious about everything. He couldn't pick up enough leaves and he kept pulling out grass by the hand full. It was so much fun to watch. We took a lot of pictures and I am very happy with how they all turned out. I added three more from yesterday that I forgot to add last night and I added six from today. Hunter and I dropped my Mom and Grandma off downtown at River St this morning so they could do some more sight seeing. Hunter and I needed a little break. It was more for Hunter than me. I wanted him to be able to relax and play on the floor. He has been cooped up in his car seat and stroller since Sunday. Hunter and I went to the mall and had his picture taken with the Easter Bunny it was so cute. He was a little afraid of the Easter Bunny at first but he warmed up to him enought o give a little bitty smile. We took so many pictures trying to get him to smile but he just couldn't figure out what was going on. I think the picture came out very cute even with out a great big smile. Tomorrow we are going to go to Charleston and do some sight seeing there. It should be a lot of fun. Greg and I had so much fun when we went there for our dinner cruise but we didn't get to do much sight seeing. Well I will add more tomorrow.
Mar-22-05 Today was another busy day here in Savannah. We went to Hilton Head, SC to go and shop at the outlet malls. It was the neatest outlet mall. There were surprisingly good deals. Hunter and I cleaned up thanks to GiGiMoo and YaYa. Hunter got a whole new wardrobe. They had a great Gap outlet which is were I usually get all of Hunter's clothes so we found him some great outfits. It was pouring all day though which was nothing new to me but unbelievable to my Mom and Grandma. I thought my Mom was going to have a heart attack in the car on the way back to Savannah she was very nervous about all of the rain. We had some great sea food at this neat restaraunt down the street from the apartment for dinner. Ohhhh! Before I forget, Hunter found a girlfriend down on River street the other day. When we went on our historical tour of Savannah we rode on a trolley and we sat next to another Mom and her little girl (she was about 18 months old probably). Hunter and the little girl held hands the entire time we sat next to them on the trolley. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. Well Ik have some cute pictures to add to the site so I am going to go and do that. I will add more tomorrow! Mar-21-05 Happy eight months to Hunter today! My little baby is growing up way too fast. We have been very busy the last two days. My Mom and Grandma came in on Saturday and we have been going ever since. Yesterday we went down to River St and walked around for quite a while. We went on a historical tour all through downtown Savannah. It was really neat to learn all about the history down here. There are so many beautifual homes in the downtown area and most have them have been around for more than a century. Hunter was such a little trooper all day and just had fun riding in his stroller over the cobblestone street. It was like a roller coaster for him. He kept sticking his arms up in the air and yelling. It was fun to watch him. He never complained once about being in his stroller, he was having too much fun looking at all of the new things. I was quite the dumby yesterday though because I forgot to pack diapers in the DIAPER bag! We walked all over downtown trying to find a convenience store so that I could get some diapers for him. We finally found a place and paid almost ten dollars for ten diapers that were a size to big for him! I don't think that I will be forgetting diapers again in the near future. Today we all went out to Tybee Island for lunch and walked down to the end of the pier. It was pretty chilly out there but there were a ton of people swimming and playing in the water. GiGiMoo and Hunter waited in the car so that my Mom and I could go down to the beach and put our feet in the water. I was expecting the water to be warm but it was actually quite cold. We got home pretty early this afternoon and decided to just relax for the night. Hunter had a blast scooting all over the place. He was very glad to be able to stretch out and play a little. He was laughing and just having a great time going from one toy to another and one person to another. He is such a happy little boy and is glad to have people all around him again. I cannot believe that he is eight months old today. I still remember being pregnant! But then again I can't hardly remember him being a newborn anymore. Well I added alot of new pictures tonight and I will add more tomorrow! Mar-19-05 Hunter's YaYa and GiGiMoo came in town tonight. We went out to eat at a good restaraunt called Carrabas. It was delicious. When we got home they just played with him until he finally fell asleep. He was very happy to have more people around again. I think he was a little confused at first because he fell asleep with only me and him in the car and woke up with two more people in the car. We are going to go down to River St tomorrow to catch the last day of all the St. Patrick's Day celebrations that go on around here. There is a very large Irish community here and Savannah has the largest St. Patrick's Day celebration next to New York. It should be a lot of fun. I only added one picture of Hunter and his YaYa but I am sure I will be taking a ton of pictures while they are visiting all week. I will add more tomorrow. Mar-17-05 Happy St. Patrick's Day! We had a pretty mellow day today. We had to wake up a little early to go to WIC but it is better to go in the morning than in the afternoon. I found out Hunter is 20 lbs 2 oz. and is 26 and 2/8 in. long. He is getting so big! He is still a little short but he is apparently above average for his age in the weight department. I am not surprised there. He is already wearing twelve month size clothes and he is barely almost eight months old! We got Bambi yesterday and Hunter fell asleep watching it today. He almost lasted through the whole movie but it was around his nap time anyways. He had a very messy lunch time today in case you didn't notice. He doesn't like to stay very still for food. He gets over excited. He obviously hasn't missed a bite in a while though. Well I added nine new pictures earlier and I couldn't help but add two more and a story as well. I will add more tommorrow! Mar-16-05 Today was a good day. However last night was a long night. Hunter went to bed way to early and woke up at about midnight and decided to stay up until a little after three. We slept in pretty late though so it wasn't too bad. We both just need to readjust to the time difference. Hunter had his first run in with a bully today at our Mom Meet Up group. We went to a play place at the mall that is called Soft Play because it is all like really squishy foam. He was having fun standing up holding on to one area of the play place and a little boy came running around the corner and tried to kind of jump over Hunter sideways and kicked him in the head and knocked him over. I almost had a heart attack. And of course the Mother was nowhere to be found and this little boy was just terrorizing all of the little kids in the play place. Hunter cried for a few minutes but calmed down after a bit and wanted back down to play. He discovered he can walk if he holds on to something and did that a few times while we were there. He is just growing so fast. He held his sippy cup and didn't try to throw it away for the first time tonight. He really hasn't shown that much interest in it until today. I am lad though, I really don't want to have to struggle with transitioning from a bottle to cups. Well I added about ten or eleven pictures to the site. I will add more tomorrow! Mar-15-05 Just a quick hello tonight. We are having a very hard homecoming. Hunter was great on the planes all day but he has been grumpy since we got home. I think he has been waiting for YaYa or PeePaw to come and play with him. I think the teething is really starting to get to him too. He has been chewing on everything he could get his hands on today! Well anyway we got home just fine. The apartment was cleaner than I remembered leaving it which is a plus. I just added 26 new pictures to the site most of them are from last night at MiMi's but there are a few from today when we first got home, right before he started to get grumpy. Well I will add more tomorrow!
