Mar-12-05 Today was a long day... It started out great though because I got to talk to Greg this morning. He is doing good and he couldn't stop laughing listening to Hunter "talk" in the background. I swear Hunter gets louder everyday. I just added three pictures that Greg sent out. He looks much better in these then he did in the last one. I also added about six pictures earlier this evening that I took yesterday. I couldn't resist taking the pictures of him yesterday without his shirt. He reminded me so much of Greg. Greg doesn't have his shirt on in most of the pictures with him and Hunter from before he left. Hunter and I went to my friend Ashlee's baby shower today. I twas by far the most crowded and crazy baby shower I have ever been to. It was a lot of fun though and Hunter got a ton of attention as usual. He was very worn out though and didn't have a nap. But being his usual self he wasn't grumpy about it but he only just went to bed at 11:30 tonight. He is quite the night owl just like his Mommy. I go back to Savannah on Tuesday and then my Mom and Grandma will be there on the 19th and then I will be in California on April 22nd. Yay! I am very excited to go and visit out there. I just can't wait for Hunter to be able to play with his cousins! He really needs to be around more kids. Well I wil add more tomorrow. Mar-9-05 Well I just added about six new pictures to the site. We went to Wal-Mart today to go and get some more stuff to send to Greg. I sent two boxes to him today, hopefully he will get them as quickly as the last time! In case you didn't notice, Greg's address has changed AGAIN! The zipcode changed. I put the the new one on the front page and also changed the one on the family page. So the one on the Family page is up to date. My cousin Bobby came over today to see Hunter and me. He hadn't seen Hunter since he was just a few days old. I got a very cute picture of them both smiling. My Mom made one of my favorite meals today! Chicken Fried Steak! It was sooo good. I really missed real cooking. It is just too much of a hassle to just cook for myself. hunter's GiGiMoo came over for dinner and to play with him so he was very excited. He was in a great mood all day as usual and just entertained everybody with his talking and "dancing". He loves to bounce up and down when he is standing up and it looks like a little dance. He is growing and changing sooo fast. We are so excited to go to California next month. I can't wait to see him play with all of the little ones. He really needs to be around more kids his age. Well I will add more tommorrow. Mar-8-05 Sorry I haven't added a story lately. I just finished adding about twelve new pictures tothe site. As to the questions about crawling...he has not done it since that first night. He is absolutely obsessed with standing up all of the time though. He gets cranky if you are not helping him stand up atleast five minutes out of every ten. He is so cute. he even takes steps on his own now if you hold his hands for him. So maybe there won't be any crawling after all. I would much rather go through crawling right now than walking though. We had a very fun weekend. We spent it with Hunter's GiGiMoo. We went shopping all day Sat and Sun and went out to eat a ton. Hunter had a blast exploring the floor in her apartment he was all over the place and talking like crazy. We just hung out around the house yesterday and today. Today Hunter's Great Grandpa and My Mom's friend Jerry came over to see him. Everyone is always so shocked at how big he has gotten and how happy he is all of the time. I got a plane ticket today to goi visit all of you out in California! I will get there on April 22nd and leave on May 5th. I just wanted to go and visit before Hunter is all over the place and you guys can see him as a little innocent baby because who knows how long that will last. No I am just kidding hopefully he will be this sweet for a long time to come. I can't wait to come to California I am so excited to see everybody and to see Hunter get to play with all of the little ones. He really needs to interact with more little kids. Well I will add more tommorrow. Mar-3-05 Well it is official, Hunter crawled for the first time tonight. Just about a foot but it was so neat. He wouldn't do it again after that though. I am sure he will be going like crazy once he figures out how he did it. Greg sent some pictures that he took with his camera and I added one to the site. I also added five other pictures and no I didn't have the camera for the crawling. What a bummer! I'm sorry Greg I will get it next time I promise! I will ad more tomorrow! Mar-02-05 Well it is officialy coming to an end. I don't think I will be spoiled much longer with the going back to sleep in the morning. We layed in bed for forty-five minutes this morning while Hunter talked and yelled. Not upset yelling mind you but yelling just the same. I knew I was to lucky to be able to go back to sleep after the morning bottle. Wouldn't you know it too...an hour later he passed out after I was too awake to go back to sleep. He was planning it I think. That's okay though the sooner I get used to it the better. We had quite a busy day today. YaYa got Hunter a new car seat because he grew out of his little one and he likes it alot. He rode in it for the first time today. There is a lot more room in it for him to stretch out or conk out really. Hunter loves to fall asleep in the car which is the only disadvantage to the new car seat...it stays in the car. So he gets woken up every time we stop somewhere. We went all kinds of places today just looking around at different stores for an umbrella stroller that I really liked and I finally found one at Toys R Us. We had actually gotten one as a gift but it has a wheel that sticks and it drives me crazy! Hunter got to try out his new stroller at the mall after we picked YaYa up from work. He had lots of fun in it, except he kept trying to stand up in it. We went to visit his GiGi Moo today too and she had a blast watching him "try" to crawl all over the dining room floor. He really is very close. He gets so close and then just loses interest, just like that. I keep saying it is going to happen soon but I have apparently been wrong before. I will just have to keep the camera handy so I can take lots of pictures for Greg! Well I added eleven new pictures to the site enjoy! I will add more soon. Feb-28-05 Today was our first Wedding Anniversary! It was a little bittersweet with Greg being in Iraq but it will only make the next one twice as great! Hunter and I went to eat at the State Line with my Mom, Dad and Grandmother. It weas very nice. For those of you who were able to make it down to the wedding from California, that is were we ate the night before the wedding. It was very good and I got stuffed. Hunter just sat in the little high chair and watched everything. He is so inquisitive and always interested in the oddest things. He decided he wanted a bottle half way through dinner and refused to hold it up so I had to hold it for him and try to feed myself with my left hand. I must have looked insane. Then again I really don't get to have all that many hot meals anymore. I don't mind it one bit though...he is the boss. When we got home Hunter had a blast standing while holding on to the couch. He was a little wobbly and almost went plop a couple of times but he was definitely having a blast! He smiled the whole time. Well I added twelve new pictures I hope you all enjoy them. I will add more tommorrow... Feb-27-05 Well I am in the process of changing Hunter's site around. I hopoe everyone likes the new stuff! Hunter pulled himself up today all by himself! I have a feeling he just might skip crawling and go straight to walking. I was so surprised when he did it, I thought I had a while before that happened but apparently not. It is so much fun to watch him learn things. I am still very curious why he thinks the word "book" is so hilarious. He was laughing at me while I was talking to Greg on the phone and all I said was book. It was great though because Greg got to hear him laugh. Well I just added two new pictures to the site so enjoy, sorry there weren't more today. I will add more tommorrow! Feb-24-05 I got to talk to Greg for a little bit on the computer today. He seems fine. We where having problems talking back and forth. For some reason it kept sending me the same message over and over again. He said he would call tommorrow so hopefully he will be able to. I have found a really neat project for me and Hunter to do. I am going to try and teach him baby sign language. I found a really interesting book and it seems that baby signing actually helps them learn to talk sooner. The signs are all pretty easy and basic so I atleast won't have any problems with it. Hunter was playing with his little Winnie the Pooh book today and I tried to teach him the sign for book. He thought I was being very funny and just kept laughing at me everytime I did it. He then smacked me across the face with the book and just started cracking up. It was so funny. I wish I could have gotten it on video. The book says that you can start trying to teach them the signs at any age but that most babaies won't really pick it up until they are about nine months old. So I guess we will see. Well I added five new pictures to the site. I will add more tommorrow. Feb-22-05 I got to talk to Greg on the phone again yesterday. He sounded good. We have been talking more often on the computer lately then on the phone though. The phones are not working very well over there right now but hopefully they will be working right again soon. I wish we could talk even more than we do. I thought that we would get to talk a lot less often then we have. I am so glad that we have been able to keep in touch as well as we have so far. He got the first package I sent to him finally. Some of the cookies were not good anymore though. I was starting to think that the package I sent had gotten lost. He also got a whole bunch of Valentine's Day cards from a class that my Mom's friend Meloni teaches. He didn't know that he was getting them and they were quite a surprise. Hunter, my Mom and I went to Babies R Us today to do some baby shower shopping today. My aunt Carmen is having a little girl (Nicole) in mid April and one of my friends, Ashlee, is having a baby boy (Brycen) in the end of April. I love Babies R Us, they have so much neat stuff there. My Mom had lots of fun buying toys and clothes for Hunter too. He got a drum that he had to figure out how to use. By the end of the night he had it figured out and was banging away on it. It is so much fun to watch him learn things. He gets a little frustrated trying to figure things out but he sticks with it until he learns how to do it. Well I added eleven new pictures to the site, I hope they make you smile. I will add more tommorrow. Feb-20-05 I just finished adding fourteen new pictures. Hunter got the closest he has ever gotten to crawling to day. He crawled backwards a little bit and was rocking on his hands and knees. However, there is still the issue of the hands in the mouth. Everytime he gets up he sees his hands and plops down so he can get them in his mouth. Apparently his hands taste better than anything! We hung arounf the house most of the day and watched movies with my friend Ashlee. We also went down to my parents golf club for a little while so that everyone could see Hunter. He was definitely a hit. Everyone seems to have been thinking that my Mom has been exagerating about how well behaved of a baby Hunter is. I don't think people are used to such a quiet and easy going baby. Well I will add more tommorrow. Feb-19-05 Well I just finished adding 38 new pictures. I had to make up for not taking any yesterday. Sometimes I think that maybe I take too many pictures. The new pictures are so adorable! Today we went out to lunch with Hunter's GiGiMoo and his adopted Great Aunt Marty. We went to eat at the Greenery in the mall and then we walked around and did a little shopping. Hunter got some cute new clothes. His GiGiMoo bought him a really cute Polo outfit and Marty got him a precious shirt from Old Navy. The one from Old Navy is a Hawaiian button up shirt that Greg will just love. His GiGiMoo also got him an adorable new bath toy. It is a green frog stuffed animal that ribbits when you squeeze his tummy. Hunter loves it. He had a blast today in his bath playing with it. He is just so curious about everything now. All he wants to do is shove things in his mouth. I know I said it before but I really do think a tooth is finally going to come in. He has been chewing on everything! He is also a little drool monster. I don't see a tooth anywhere but I think one is going to be coming pretty soon. Hunter didn't have a very good nap today so he went to bed very early. Hopefully that doesn't mean he is going to get up very early. He is such a little goof ball sometimes. He will smile and look at you like you are absolutely crazy. He has these funny little faces that make you think that he knows exactly what you are all about. He has started to give kisses now but so far he has only given them to me. It is so sweet when he does it. He just grabs my face with his hands and tries to mimic kissy lips and then he plants one on me and I could just melt. He is very picky about when he will give kisses though. It has to be when he wants to you can't sit there and keep asking him for them otherwise he will just smack you instead. Either way though he is a precious little sweetheart and I love him with or without kisses. Well I will add more tommorrow! Feb-18-05 Hunter is getting closer and closer to crawling! He is scooting and rolling all over the place it is so neat to watch him master new skills. He gets so frustrated at times though. He knows what he wants to do he just can't quite figure out how to do it. This morning we went with my Aunt Carmen to Babies R Us to help her register. She is having a baby girl in April around the fifteenth. Hunter stole a toy! I thought that I had puyt everything on the counter and then come to find out when we get in the car he is playing with a little stuffed elephant. I was buying it for him but had forgotten that he was playing with it. We have since named the elephant "misdemeanor." Hunter got some really neat toys today and has really enjoyed playing with his new stuffed turtle that has a mirror on his belly. I couldn't resist buying him the turtle becauseif you hadn't noticed Hunter loves to suck on his lower lip. When he does, his top lip comes down in a point and he looks like a little turtle. This evening we went over to my Mammoo's to visit with her. Hunter was quite the little entertainer while we were there. He was talking up a storm and going all over the place. I was so upset though because I forgot to take the camera. Me of all people forgot the camera I was starting to think it was permanently stuck to my hand with all the pictures I am always taking. He got really close to crawling while we were over there and I have to admit I was hoping he wouldn't because I didn't have the camera. I have to take a lot of pictures when he finally starts crawling so that Greg can see it too. Just beforeI buckled Hunter in to his seat Greg sent me a message on my phone saying that he was online. So we decided to stay a little longer so that I could get online and talk to him. The phones aren't working out there right now for whatever reason so I was glad to atleast talk to him for a little bit on the computer. My Grandma was more than happy to keep Hunter entertained while I talked online. Greg said everything was fine and that he would try and call me via the sattelite phone tonight (really tommorrow afternoon). We pretty much just talked about Hutner and how close to crawling he was. I will hopefully have more to add tommorrow after I talk to him. Sorry I didn't add any new pictures today but like I said I forgot the camera. I will take extra ones tommorrow! Well I am going to try and go to bed! I will add more tommorrow. Feb-17-05 Today was a pretty lazy day again. Hunter and I took a nap and pretty much just hung out around the house. My Mom is babysitting him tonight so that I can go out with a couple of friends. It is very wierd getting ready to go somewhere and not having to get Hunter ready too. He is already asleep in bed so he is going to be an easy babysitting job for my Mom and Dad. Not that it would matter if he were awake. He would be easy that way too. This is only the third time I have ever left him with out him atleast being with Greg. I am definately hating the idea of going out with out Greg right now. There are little things that just remind me of him whenever I do anything. I miss him so much! I got to talk to him for a little bit today on the phone and on the computer. He sounds good and was laughing in the background with one of the guys that he works with so I take that as a good sign. Well I had better go . I will add more tommorrow! Feb-16-05 I am so excited that everyone has been making new sites! I hope that Tiffany makes one soon! There are now links to all of the family websites on Hunter's front page so if anyone wants to check them out just click on the picture below the person's site. Today was a very busy day! Hunter and I went to Ft. Bliss to go and get Greg a study guide for the promotions board. He is going to the board some time in the next month and wanted a study guide to help him out. So everyone keep your fingers crossed! We went to Wal-Mart after that and we got lucky because while we were there Greg called and was able to tell me all of the goodies he wanted us to send to him in his package. Talk about a lot of junk food! I also got him a couple of new games for his gameboy advance too. Well he got his first package in the mail, it was from his Grandparents and he loved the cookies that his Grandma made for him. I am going to have to ask her for the recipe so that I cant attempt to make some for him. Hunter and I went out to dinner tonight with my parents and my Grandma and it was delicious. We went to Carino's for some Itallian food. Hunter was a little grumpy though when we first got there and wanted to be walked around a little bit. It was probably because he never got a really good nap today. He was very spoiled while we were there and got to sit in someone's lap the entire time. He is usually perfectly content to sit in his car seat and watch what is going on around him, but not tonight! I added six new pictures today so I hope everyone likes them. I will add more tommorrow! Feb-15-05 Today was definately a lazy day! It was great! We needed a break from all of the running around we had been doing since we got here. In case you couldn't tell Hunter had a blast in the bath today, I couldn't help but take a ton of pictures. He absolutely loves his bath! He has so much fun splahing around and loves to have water poured on his head. His bath seat makes it a lot easier for him to spend more time in the tub because I don't have to hold him in it. He took a couple of really long naps today, which was good because he needed to catch up on some sleep. He has been missing a lot of naps lately and getting kind of cranky at bed time. I gave him his first biter biscuit today and he loved it. They are these little cookies that he can chew and suck on and he absolutely loved it! He fed it to himself and made a mess, but it was worth it to see him do it! By the time he was done it was all over his face and clothes. This was of course after he had his bath but that is the way it always works out. He is in bed right now and I am going to follow his lead here pretty soon. I just wanted to fill everybody in on today's non-events and add all twenty-two pictures to the site before I got behind again. I will add more tommorrow! Feb-14-05 HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! I hope that everyone had a great Valentine's day! Mine was definately made better because Greg was able to call me twice! I was so happy to hear from him, especially today. He sounds good except it seems his allergies have worsened. I am finally caught up on all of the pictures! So all of the pictures should be up to date again from now until the next time I get busy. Hunter and I went out to lunch with his GiGiMoo today and I got to have some great enchiladas. I really missed mexican food in Geaorgia! She was so excited and Hunter got to meet a lot of the people that she works with. He was a perfect angel as always. People are always shocked to find out that he is always happy and content. He never cries, he has been sleeping through the night for a long time now and he always has a smile for anyone willing to give him a tickle. If only all babies were so easy. We have been very blessed to have such a little angel. I have a feeling that next time we won't be so lucky. Hunter got a cute little "devil" stuffed animal for valentine's day from his YaYa. It is red so of course he loves it. Today was his first Valentine's day! You wouldn't know it though, it seemed like any other day I suppose. At six and a half months though what do you expect? Anyways, I added alot of pictures today so I hope everyone enjoys them. I will add more tommorrw. Feb-13-05 Yesterday was so much fun. Most of my family was over for brisket and all kinds of stuff. It was so nice to be around people again. Hunter was definately a hit with everyone. He never cried and smiled at everybody. He is such a ham! He is loving all of the attention and I am sure that he would be fine with the idea of never having to be on the floor again! My Mom and Dad are enjoying seeing him everyday and are going to have a hard time saying goodbye next month I am sure. It is definately hard to live so far away from family. I can't wait to go to California this summer and visit with the rest of the family! If you all didn't notice there is another NEW address for Greg. It is very frustrating that they keep changing it all of a sudden. I wish that they would get it all straightened out and then tell us there was a new address. I finally finished adding all of the pictures from Saturday night. I am usually a lot better about adding them all but I was so tired last night and I have been out and about all day. Today Hunter and I went to go and visit with my Great Grandmother. She is 95 and still kickin! She is an amazing woman. I really didn't get to be very close to her until I started taking her medication to her a couple of years ago. I am sitting here and typing that and I can't believe it was that long ago. She was very enamored by Hunter and held him a little bit I took some pictures of that but I will ad them tommorrow as it is getting very late here and I wanted to atleast finish adding the pictures from last night to the site. I will try and catch up very soon, hopefully by tommorrow. They are usually added to the site the same day they are taken but I was very tired last night so no such luck there. Well I will add more tommorrow! Feb-12-05 Well I just added four new pictures to the site from this evening. I have more to add in the morning but I am tired. We had a whole lot of people over tonight for brisket and I got a lot of great pictures, so I will add them in the morning. Feb-11-05 Well I added some pictures today for all of you going in to withdrawals. There are ten new ones. So far Hunter has been enjoying our visit here in Texas. Yesterday he got a little overloaded though from haviung such a long day and then getting squeezed and kissed. He got a little cranky towards the evening. Today was a very good day for him though. He had a blast playing on the floor with his YaYa and GiGiMoo. He was just talking away and rolling all over the place. He is definately feeling more at home today. He is still on Georgia time though so we got up really early today. I was hoping we would get to sleeep in after the long trip yesterday......but he was ready to play and he is the boss after all. He got sooooo close to crawling tonight! Indescribably close actually, but he decided he want to eat his hands instead and just plopped down on his tummy. I was kind of glad he didn't crawl though because I am out of room on memory casrd for my camera, I am going to go and print out all of the pictures off of it tommorrow. That way I can add more pictures tommorrow night! Well I am so tired so I will add more tommorrow! Feb-10-05 After a very long plane ride I am now in El Paso! Hunter was so good on the plane. He just smiled the whole time. Everyone commented on how good he was. He even sat and watched out the window as the plane took off! He was very content the entire flight. It is so nice to be around people again! My mom is going crazy over little Hunter as I type. He is definately not going to be lacking in things to do while we are here. My mom borrowed all kinds of things for him to use for our visit. Well just wanted to let everyone know we got here okay, I will add more later.
