Jan-16-05 Greg got to come and see the site today! It turns out that he can use AOL. It was so neat, I got to talk to him in instant messages. We also got to talk on the phone. So far we have been able to keep on touch pretty good. I am glad that I was wrong about not being able to talk until February. He is doing good. His Dad, his Grandparents and I all talked at the same time on the internet. It was nice. I'm glad that he got to talk to other people too. I am sure it eased some worries. It does for me everytime I talk to him, not that that has been very often. It makes me sad but it also makes me worry less. Hunter was having a ball with his dinner tonight. He kept sneezing it all over me. I had squash all over my face by the time he was done. He just went to sleep a little while ago next to me on the couch. These days he has to have me to go to sleep. I think he thinks I am going somewhere. That sounds about right. He is at the age where separation anxiety is supposed to start rearing its ugly head. So far nothing I cannot handle. I enjoy holding and cuddling him so much. He is my little munchkin and Greg's little Goofball. We have a great time together and play all sorts of games. Well I stuff to do now that Huntrer has gone to sleep so I will add more tommorrow. Jan-15-05 I got a postcard from Greg today. He had sent it to me before he got on the plane, it was so exciting! It made me a little sad but Hunter was quick to cheer me up! I added five more pictures tonight, they are really cute! Hunter definately has noticed that Greg is gone he won't lay down without me at all except for bedtime. He wants to be held or played with every waking moment. Which is just fine with me because it keeps me busy and keeps my mind off missing Greg. I think Hunter is going through some more sore gums too because he keeps chewing on his hands. He is quite the little wiggle worm now and I can hardly keep him in one place. He is always reaching for something and if he can't get to it he gets mad. Poor little guy! He has proven to be a great source of happiness and reassurance for me. We are always having fun. Wether we are reading a book or playing tickle monster or just laying around he always makes me smile. I have my own little piece of Greg here with me and I am so thankful for that. Jan-14-05 Couldn't resist added two more pictures! Jan-14-05 I just put seventeen new pictures up. He sat up all by himself on the floor. Well I sat him and he stayed up more like. He sat by himself for a few minutes though. He was having a very good time doing it too. No news from Greg yet but hopefully he will be able to call me again soon. Our first day alone was alright. We stayed busy running around doing errands. Hunter is getting SO heavy. His seat is quite awkward to hold on to and walk at the same time. I'm so short I practically drag him behind me when I walk. Well it is bath time for my little munchkin. So I will add more tommorrow. Jan-13-05 Well good news! Greg called this morning at about 6:45 a.m. I was very excited to hear from him. Their plane ended up taking off from Hunter Army Airfield at about midnight on Tuesday. It seems the plane ride was also not as long as he remembered it being last time. He said it ended up taking about fourteen hours to get there. He slept half the way and watched movies the rest of the time. He is in Kuwait now and it isn't that big of a time difference. He wasn't quite sure but he thought that it was almost three in the afternoon when he called so it is about an eight hour difference. I got to talk to him for about twenty minutes. I am so glad that he was able to call so soon. Someone had mentioned that I might not hear form him until late Februaury. I just wanted everyone to get an update of how he was doing I am sure that I will add some more later. Also to let you know I will be purchasing a rechargeable phone card tommorrow at the PX they seem to have the best international rates. Some people had mentioned wanting to send him phone cards. The regular ones that you purchase at Wal-Mart and such for twenty bucks end up only allowing a ten minute phone call because of international rates. If anyone was planning to get him a phone card E-Mail me and maybe we can just work it out so that you can recharge the one I will be buying tommorrow over the phone. It just seems that it will be much more worth it that way and the money will go farther. Just Email me for more information ( GBALGORRI@AOL.COM ). Jan-12-05 I keep thinking that Greg is just going to walk through the door, as it is he is probably still on an airplane to Iraq. Big Greg, Hunter and I went to Tybee Island today so that Greg could see the Atlantic Ocean for the first time. It was a lot of fun. While we where there the tide was so low that there where dolphins about fiften or twenty fet off the shoreline. They where playing in the water and looking for food I suppose. I got a good picture of Hunter and his Grandpa in front of the beach. Big news! Hunter sat up in the bathtub tonight all by himself (just a little help behind his back from his ducky tub). Hunter had fun smiling for the camera in the bath tub. He is turning in to quite the little model. Greg's Dad goes back to California tommorrow night and I think that is when it will really sink in that Greg is gone. Well I have some picking up to do so I will add more tommorrow. Jan-11-05 Today was a very long day. We all got up early this morning to make it to Greg's 9:00 formation. After that we went to breakfast and then went home to just spend some time together. The day completely snuck up on me. It seemed to go slow the first half but the second half flew by. In case you all didn't notice Greg finally got his new glasses today and personally I think they make him all the more handsome. This was one of the most draining days I have ever been through. I half yet to grasp the entire length of time a year can be. Hopefully it will fly by just as fast as this past year has. Well I have posted a total of forty new pictures tonight. So it might take you a while to sort through them. I changed the family page of Hunter's site to contain Greg's mailing and emailing address's. Well I am exhausted so I am going to try and go to bed. I will put more up tommorrow. Jan-6-05 Well Greg's Dad got here today and we where all very excited to see him. Hunter and I waited at the bottom of the escalator for him at the airport while Greg drove around. Hunter was fine with him almost the entire time each time Greg held him but eventually he figured out that he wasn't being held by Mommy or Daddy and that scared him a little bit. I just put up eight new pictures and I'm sure there will be more soon. We are going to South Carolina tommorrow after my doctor's appointment. We are spending the weekend there so there won't be anything new for a couple of days. Well that is all for now. Jan-5-05 Well I just posted eleven new pictures just now they are really cute. Just going to be a short story tonight I have lots of stuff to do. Well it is official Greg leaves on Tuesday (Jan 11). His Dad comes in town tommorrow and we are really excited to see him. Hunter wants to play with someone new! As soon as Greg leaves I am going to use the family page of this site to post need to know stuff about him. Like his address, certain snacks he likes and his email address that he will be using. Well like I said I have lots of stuff to do so goodnight. I will try to add more tommorrow! Jan-4-04 Well today was a so so day. Hunter and I went to the park to meet up with my group. It was very warm outside today. Hunter was sitting on my lap playing with his pretend keys and Jacob a five month little boy was sitting on his Mom's lap when Hunter decided that Jacob's toy was much better than his so he took it from him. It was very funny until poor little Jacob started crying. Hunter is already spoiled and loves to just grab things he will have to learn to share here pretty quick. Before we went to the park Greg came home with some news about his deployment date. This isn't for sure yet though. He should be leaving on January eleventh. He said he should find out tommorrow for sure wether or not that is the date. Well if that turns out to be the date then we have one more week unfortunateley. I really wish he wasn't going at all though. But it is not up to me. Well I added fifteen new pictures today and actually managed to get a couple of all three of us up there. I finally remembered that there was a timer on the camera. Well I just want to thank everyone who has been leaving comments in the questbook I love to check on the site through out the day to see what everyone thinks. It really is neat to read everything so keep on doing it. You don't have to leave a great big long message just say you where here. Greg packed alot of his gear to take with him and I did a lot of cleaning around the apartment. Hunter, however, was not all that thrilled that everyone seemed to be too busy to play with him. He let us know every chance he got. I think that the baby orajel has been helping alot he was not nearly as grumpy today as he has been lately so hopefully that was all that was bothering him. He is asleep on the floor right now and Greg is laying on the couch watching wrestling. I have found myself getting overly interested in the soap opera part of wrestling. If it is on you can't help but watch. Well I posted three new pictures a few minutes ago. Hunter wore his bathrobe for the first time tonight after his bath and of course I had to take a couple of pictures. Because you know of course that I do not take nearly enough pictures. Hunter is going to hate cameras before I get done with him. Well I will put up new pictures tommorrow hopefully. Talk to you all later. Jan-1-05 Well I just put two new pictures on the site of Hunter playing in his exersaucer. This is the third day in a row that Hunter has been pretty grumpy. I am hesitant to go and get him some orajel even though he is old enough for it. I am afraid that teething isn't the problem. I guess I should probably atleast try it and see what happens. I can't believe it is a new year. I know I will be writing 2004 on everything for atleast a month. Greg is sitting on the couch playing his gameboy (he is slightly obsessed) and Hunter is asleep on the floor. I have been doing laundry ALL day. If I have to fold any more clothes I am going to go bonkers! Well I am going to go and relax on the couch for awhile before I go to bed. I will put some new pictures up tommorrow. Jan-1-05 Well I just wanted to add a coupleof pictures from right before midnight last night. There are five new ones, I'm sure I will add more later. Happy New Year! Dec-31-04 Well Happy New Year everyone!!! I put up six new pictures tonight and I hope that everyone is now clear on how to see all of them if not email me or leave a comment! Hunter, Greg and I are all watching Times Square right now waiting for the ball to drop. This is the first time either one of us have gotten to see it live. We are used to being two or three hours behind but not this year. Well I am convinced Hunter is teething now. He has been grumpy for the last two days and I am going to go get him some orajel tommorrow. Hopefully that will soothe them a little bit. Well I hope everyone is having fun and being safe. We hope you have a great New Year! Dec-30-04 Well tommorrow is New Years Eve! Can you believe it, because I can't. Only about ten more days until Greg's window of deployment starts. Apparently there is a rumor that Greg will be leaving towards the end (January 13 is the last day as of now). Rumors in the Army are just rumors though but I am keeping my fingers crossed. We had a lazy day around here again. Greg had to get up extra early for a run but he was released right after. We went to Wal-Mart and that was enough of an outing for us. It is so exhausting to go there. Hunter had another grumpy day today. I think he has a tooth about to break through though and I think it is causing him some discomfort. He has been chewing on everything he can get his hands on including his own hands. Even with his grumpy days though he is still a very relaxed baby. He has learned that he can fight his naps which isn't a very good thing lately because he makes himself so upset. When he gets very upset the only thing to do is to cuddle him. Once he hits a comfy position with me it only takes about a minute for hom to fall asleep. Well I only have one picture to add to the site today. He had just finally fell asleep in my arms and I had just gotten him to lay down without me on the couch. I am noticing there are a couple of people who still haven't quite figured out the site. Dec-29-04 Well my boys are asleep early tonight. Hunter had a little bit of a grumpy day today. But he ended it with lots of smiles. I hope you all enjoy the great pictures I put up. He is growing so fast. I added a lot of new stuff today. Be sure to give Hunter lots of hugs. Don't forget I really enjoy reading the comments section of the site. Even if you just want to say hi go ahead. It is just nice to see who has been visiting and please vote. I wish we lived closer to everybody so that everyone could watch him grow with us. A lot of people have been asking when Greg will be leaving. As of now he will be leaving between January 9 and January 13. Hunter and I are going to miss him so much. Dec-28-04 Well it looks like Hunter is finally okay with smiling at the camera. I have hardly been able to get him to lay on his back all day. He is constantly rolling over and scooting for a new toy to play with. I can't believe how much he has changed already. I used to wonder if he would ever roll over, now look at him. My little Bubba. ( yes Mom I know you hate that name). The only problem with the rolling over is he can't quite roll himself back over. His arm gets in the way. So he yells until Mommy or Daddy roll him back over so he can start all over again. Well there are about nine new pictures up now so everyone enjoy. Don't forget you can email me if you would like me to send you a picture to print out on your computer. Well maybe I will put some more pictures on tonight. Dec-27-04 Well today was a lazy day. Hunter and I took a couple of naps. He maybe got a little too much sleep though because he had a pretty grumpy night. I didn't get the chance to take any new pictures today so you all will just have to enjoy the ones I posted yesterday for one more day. I am having some problems with the polls that I posted on the website but the totals as of now are: Who do you think Hunter looks like? Dec-26-04 Well Christmas is over! We had a wonderful first Christmas together! We woke up early and opened lots of presents! Hunter got so much stuff, I am working on a picture with him and all his presents in it. I want to thank everybody for the wonderful gifts. This year was a little different for me. I have never not been home for Christmas, but I am so glad that Greg, Hunter and I got to spend it together. Maybe we will get lucky next year and Greg will be home early and spend Christmas with us. After we opened presents I made Greg a big breakfast and then we got ready to go to South Carolina. We had so much fun with Rosan and Mike! Rosan made a terriffic Christmas dinner and sent us home with plenty of leftovers. All in all it was a perfect Christmas. Now it is time unfortunately, to get ready for Greg to leave. It is only now really starting to set in that he will be leaving for a year. Well it is time to go to bed. I will be adding more pictures tommorrow I'm sure. Dec-24-04 It is Christmas Eve! Hunter unwrapped his first present after we ate dinner. He was very interested in the paper. He got some neat blocks and a rocking Winnie the Pooh bear (thanx Tiffany, Clint & Lukas). It was a lot of fun, Greg had to help him a little bit though. Once you got the paper into his hands though he would tear it off, I would have taken some pictures of that but I was video taping it. I will take some more pictures of him actually unwrapping them in the morning for everybody. Well Hunter needs a bath so I need to run.............I will add more tommorrow before we leave. Merry Christmas everybody! We miss you all and love you very much. Wish we were there! Don't forget to leave out milk and cookies for Santa!
