I should start by saying that I am TERRIBLE at keeping this site updated - life just seems to stay crazy, and this ends up at the bottom of my list. So, I hope to do better, but I give no promises. Janae is 20 1/2 months now - I can't believe she'll be two in June. She is a talker - and not just words, but complete conversations. She sings her ABC's and can count to 10 - she says "uh one, uh two, uh three...." It's really fun to hear all the new things she says - she sings "tinkle tinkle" or as you may know it, "twinkle, twinkle" - and she loves to sing "ring around the rosies" - especially the fall down part. Janae's always asking, "Mommy, what ya donin?" and "What dat or Who dat?" Her vocabulary is incredible. She likes to mimic me too. Yesterday, I was hanging up the phone and said, "love you dad" - Janae echoed me with "love you dad" - in the same tone. She also copied me this morning when I yelled across the house to Jason - "HONEY."
Well, the big news in Texas, and even more so right here in Haslet, is that it snowed about 6 inches yesterday - in MARCH! We played last night, and again this morning - it was a blast. Janae enjoyed it and kept saying, "mommy, nowmen!" She didn't quite have it figured out that snowmen are made from snow - she thought it was all the same. Enjoy the pics!

So, I know you all are thinking..."6 MONTHS! - it took Mica 6 months to update this website?" Well, the answer is YES! Life has been jampacked with craziness - to me, it feels like June still - I sort of lost July-December - I mean, I lost it! I don't even know where to begin with trying to catch up on all this time that has passed. Actually, I think I won't even try - I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves (some pics will definitely need enlargement for your full enjoyment - just double-click and the picture will grow). Enjoy, and hopefully, you won't have to wait another 6 months for new pics - hopefully! Lots of love from the Trojacek Clan - Mica, Jason and Janae Grace - OH, and Merry Christmas to you all!

Here we are again....2 months later...
Janae is officially ONE (as of June 27th)! It's so hard to believe that we have made is safely and sanely through this first year. It has truly been an amazing experience - what a blessing! The last couple of months have been full of fun and adventure - especially with our little walker - actually, I should say RUNNER...yes, that's right, she's off and running. And, she thinks she is soooo fast! Janae loves to be chased by Daddy - her giggle is to die for. Janae and I have had many playdates with lots of friends. We play with Brooke a lot - you will see her in many of the pictures. We have ventured to the museum, the park, and Janae has been doing quite a bit of swimming so far this summer. On July 1st, we had a BIG party for Janae - it was so special to see how many people love her and came to celebrate. There were so many cute babies running around the house - it was a lively party that's for sure. Janae's favorite things these days are climbing in her new rocking chair, cell phones (it's an obsession - she has 4), playing outside, and eating fruit - she loves fruit! (veggies... not so much!) I never imagined how much personality this girl would have - she's truly full of personality. Jason and I are laughing all the time. I hope you enjoy the new pics this go round, and remember, we'll post more at the end of the summer. All our love, The Trojacek Clan.

And, yes, another two months has passed... Janae is now only two weeks from being 11 months old. One year is just around the corner - it's hard to believe. Janae is a handful these days. Walking, yes, I said walking. She took her first steps mid-April - about a week and a half before she turned 10 months. She is getting better and better at each day. She loves to walk from toy to toy and tries to challenge her distance. At most, she's taken up to 25ish steps without falling. She's amazing. She loves to give kisses - big, slobbery, open-mouthed kisses. She's eating big kid foods. Her top two teeth are coming in, and of course, she's still talking like crazy. Her vocabulary consists of Dada, Drake (our chocolate lab), Deer (daddy taught her this one), and Hi (she sort of sings this one). And, I swear this child knows Swahili! She hasn't said Mama yet, but that will come, I'm sure. Janae is tons of fun. She has a great personality - she laughs and makes all kinds of funny faces and noises. Jason and I are constantly laughing at her. I hope you enjoy the new pics of her. I'll be sure and update again at the year mark - June 27 - can't believe she's already becoming a toddler. Wow, time really does fly when you're having fun. We are so blessed!
***Check out all the new pics - there are 2 pages.

Two months have flown by since we last updated this site. Janae is changing with every second. She is such a big girl! Janae started going to a sitter - Ms. Joli in January two days a week while mommy teaches at TCU. She loves going to play with her friends Joseph (1) and Jack (3 months). We are so thankful and so blessed with a wonderful woman to take care of our baby girl.
Janae's first MAJOR crawling adventure took place on January 19 - she hasn't slowed down since. And, on January 24th, Jason and I walked in to find that Janae had pulled herself up to her knees in her crib. Needless to say, we had to shift the mattress down to a lower level. Jason and I went on our first vacation withouth Janae - we went skiing in Colorado at the end of January. Janae split her time between the grandparents. Shortly after we came home, Janae learned to completely pull herself up - she pulls up on EVERYTHING! She's now pulling up and walking around supporting herself. It won't be long before she's walking...running. I have even seen her pull up and let go and stand on her own for a few seconds. She is such a go-getter. It is amazing to watch her explore and find out what all she can do.
February was a busy month - it's hard to even remember what all was happening. Valentine's Day, trips to TCU with mommy, playdates with friends - so much fun. Sadly, Janae had the stomach flu this week - YUCK! She is feeling better now - I hope it's a long time before we go through that again.
Janae is now a little over 8 months old. She loves to smile and laugh and talk - man, that girl has some lungs. We are having so much fun with our little girl - life could not get any sweeter.

Happy New Year Everyone! We hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season, and that you were blessed in abundance. Janae is just about 6 1/2 months now, and she has blossomed over the past few weeks. Christmas was an amazing time - we traveled and spent time with family. Janae enjoyed opening presents - it was really all about eating the paper! I think we enjoyed taking pictures of her more than anything. She is still growing - although the doctor says her weight has slowed down some...it has really just leveled out to match her height. She officially has her first tooth, and another soon to follow. She is sitting up and playing for long periods of time, and rocking and rolling on all fours. She has taken a few crawling steps, but she hasn't quite got the mechanics down...yet. Janae is so fun to watch and listen to - her noises are loud and she really never quits talking. Just in the last two days she has picked up the "ma" sound and is starting to say "mamama" - music to my ears! (only, I know in a few months, I'll be wishing she didn't know my name ;) She loves to jump in her jumperoo and play in her exersaucer - she is such a big girl. It's amazing what the last 6 months have given us - I can only imagine what the next 6 will bring. Stay posted monthly and we will update pictures. Here's to a great 2007!
December 7, 2006
Another month has flown by, and Miss Janae is nearly 5 1/2 months old. By Christmas, she will be 6 months old - I can't believe how fast time goes! We had an eventful November full of travel and fun for Thanksgiving. Janae has discovered many new things seeing as how she grabs at EVERYTHING. She learns mostly with her mouth ;) while each new item in her hand goes directly to her lips - or maybe I should say her gums! I keep thinking we will see a tooth come through, but none yet. Janae has enough drool to bring the Texas lakes back from the summer drought! She can sit up by herself for short periods of time. She is rolling around everywhere, and she does the swim move on her belly - she wants to go, she just doesn't know how quite yet. Janae giggles and talks all the time. She has just recently picked up "babababa" and "dadadada" - it is so much fun to hear her conversations. When she wakes up each morning, she and the crib really do some talking! I've determined that Janae is going to be one of those little girls who never lets you get a word in edge-wise. We hope you enjoy the pics this month, and we wish everyone a wonderful Christmas season. Look forward to another update just after the New Year!

We have had an eventful month this October. We went to San Marcus for Stade and Sara's wedding. We went to the doctor for more yucky shots. Janae spent the night with Grandma an Peepaw for the first time. We carved pumpkins for Halloween, and we dressed up and gave candy to the trick-or-treaters. Janae is 4 months old now. She weighs over 15 pounds and is over 2 ft tall. WOW - she is growing fast. Her newest tricks are rolling over, blowing her tongue and popping her lips. She loves to play with toys, or maybe I should say, chew on toys. No teeth yet, but who knows, maybe soon. Her smile continues to charm our hearts, and all her new tricks make us giggle all the time.
October 5, 2006
Janae is just about 3 1/2 months old now. She weighs about 14lbs and is 24 inches long. She is an amazing little girl who is discovering and learning new things each day. It's awesome to watch how her hands can keep her occupied for such a long time - she loves to curl and twist them and watch them in front of her face. Her eyes light up with each new discovery - especially faces of those who love her. She's beginning to learn to grab for toys and other things around her. Janae also has, what I like to call, "big girl syndrome." She loves to be in a sitting position and pushes on her legs to stand up in our laps. Her smile gets bigger every day, and she is certainly learning that she can make all kinds of noises - she is one loud girl!
August 31, 2006
Janae is now 2 months old and growing so fast! We went to the doctor for her two month check up on Tuesday (29th), and she now weighs 12 lbs. 13 oz and is 23.25 inches tall - wow, it is so hard to believe that in just nine weeks she has changed so much! At the doctor on Tuesday, Janae had her first set of shots - what a traumatic experience...But, her smiles are back now, and she is as happy as ever. The newest event - and most exciting for mom and dad - Janae is sleeping through the night - YEAH! She is turning into a fabulous sleeper, and so are we :) Her personality is blossoming, and she is just the most wonderful little girl - we are so blessed!
July 24, 2006
Janae will be 4 weeks old tomorrow - it's hard to believe how fast the days go by. She is growing rapidly and changing with each moment. She loves to kick and wave her arms - she is as active outside the womb as she was inside. Janae is also a noise maker - she grunts and squeaks all the time. I never knew that newborns were this noisy. She is quite the character already - what a little ball of fire! As for mom and dad, we are adjusting to our new life - each day is an adventure, and we are loving every minute. We cherish our time with our baby girl, and especially cherish those unexpected longer stretches of sleep at night. What a joy and blessing this little precious girl is - we couldn't be happier!

Janae Grace Trojacek has finally arrived. She was born on June 27, 2006 at 5:53pm. She weighed 7lbs. 7oz. and was 19 3/4 inches long. She has a head full of auburn hair and is the most beautiful baby girl we have ever seen. Check out the stories section for details of the delivery and arrival home. Oh, and of course check out the precious pictures of our baby girl!
June 26, 2006
Well, today is the day it all begins. Jason and I are checking into the hospital this evening around 5pm where we will certainly have a luxurious night full of sleep - yeah right! We will both be so anxious we won't know what to do with ourselves. Tomorrow morning around 6:30am, the doctor will begin giving me pitocin to induce labor, and hopefully sometime tomorrow afternoon, we will have a baby girl to hold and love! We will keep you all posted as soon as she has arrived, and by Friday or Saturday we will post pictures of her on this sight - so check back in over the weekend!
June 22, 2006
It's crazy how our world has become a "baby-by-appointment" kind of world, but that is just what it is, and we have fallen into that category - we have a date set to have this baby girl. Since my doctor is leaving town next Thursday, we are scheduled to be induced on Tuesday - unless Janae decides to surprise us all and come before then. Jason and I will check into the hospital on Monday night to begin the process, and the full induction will be underway early Tuesday morning. SO, Janae will arrive sometime on Tuesday afternoon, June the 27th! Only 4 more days...
June 20, 2006
Ok, so here's the deal...Janae loves being in her mommy's tummy as much as her mommy loved it (remember, Mica was weeks late just living it up in that warm, comfy womb)...she is just not cooperating...already a spoiled little brat :) However, she's doesn't really have much choice in this situation because Dr. Flowers is leaving town next Thursday. The current plan is to induce on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week as long as nothing changes between now and then. As it looks, we will probably check into the hospital on Tuesday evening, get served with some ripening gel for this hard cervix, and then induce labor on Wednesday morning. SO, we will most likely have this precious little girl on Wednesday, June 28! Daddy is super anxious and can't wait to hold his sweet little angel - if given the option, he would be ready to check into the hospital tomorrow. I guess he'll have to be patient for one more week. We will keep you all posted as we get closer. Only one more week to go - it's hard to believe!
*On a side note - let's all pray that the MAVS win tonight and on Thursday, then the month of June will go down in history for this Trojacek family!
JUNE 14, 2006
So, now we are only two weeks away from Janae's due date; however, I am showing no progression yet. Janae seems to be cozy where she is, and she is surely in no rush to jump out into this crazy world. Jason and I are more and more anxious every day - I think Jason is truly ready to hold his little girl - he keeps offering all sorts of labor remedies - "Honey, let's go for a walk" - "I'll make you some hot rasberry tea.." - I just hope he doesn't come home with a bottle of castor oil! We did find out yesterday that our doctor will be out of town the first week of July, so she guarantees us a baby before then. We'll keep you posted!
