Lily Claire went for her 6 month check-up on Thursday. She officially weighs 16lbs and is 26in long. She has cut 2 teeth on bottom and has another coming through on the top. She is such a good baby and always so happy. She went to her first Ashley Company Picnic this weekend and had so much fun. She went on the carousel for the first time, went down the slide with her Papaw Wayne, and ate her first snowcone. She is trying all kinds of new things and she loves it. She enjoys sitting in the floor and just playing with all her toys. She likes her walker and her jumper also. Her favorite movie to watch is the BEE Movie. You can put that movie in and she will watch it over and over. She gets so excited. She is sleeping some better again since she cut her teeth. Her best friend is Aubie now. She loves to sit and play with him and let him give her kisses. They are sweet together. She loves all her family and smiles when she sees them. We love you all!! Aar, Ash, and Lil
Lily Claire is 5 months old now and changing more everyday. She has recently learned to sit up some on her own, finally rolled over completely, and claps her hands all the time. She loves you to say "Yay Lily". She thinks she has really done something big. She loves you to watch her. She is the center of attention and that is the way she likes it. She has recently gotton a pool and a swing outside and she absolutely loves them. She would live outside if you would let her. She is so peaceful outside. She will be going back to the Dr. soon for a checkup and I cannot wait to see what she weighs. She weighed 13lbs last month. She is changing more everyday and is a complete joy to be around!
Miss Lily Claire went for her 4 month checkup today. She weighed 13lbs and was 24 1/4in long. She is getting so big. She eats very well. She has started her babyfood. Her favorite right now is the squash. We tried sweet potatoes today and she seemed to like it ok. She talks to us all the time and loves to laugh. She is our little rotton tinkerbell. She loves for everyones full attention to be on her but that hasn't been a problem. She is still sleeping ok. We are getting up a little earlier most mornings now though. She is cutting her teeth and they have really bothered her lately.
Lily Claire is growing so much. She is eating cereal almost every bottle now and she loves it. She is laughing more and more, loves playing with her toys and watching tv. She loves to be talked to and she will try her best to talk to you. She is such a good baby. She sleeps about 6-8 hours at night the first time and then goes back to sleep usually for about 3-5 more hours. We are usually waking up from 9-10am. She is the happiest in the morning. She loves Aubie now and he loves her. He kisses her everyday and make sure she isn't far out of his sight. We go back to the Dr. on June 11 for her 4 month checkup. I will update everyone then.We love you!
I took Lily Claire on her first vacation this past week May 18-22 to Gatlinburg. Her daddy didn't get to go with us because he had to work all week and didn't have any days left. We went with my parents and sister and had a great time. Lily was so great on the road. The only time she fussed with me was when she was tired and hungry. She was so good the entire time we were there. She loved Dollywood. She was absolutely exhausted when we got home though. She was very happy to see her daddy and so was I. We both missed him alot. She gave him big smiles,kisses, and talked to him as soon as she seen his face. I am posting the pics from our trip. We love you all. Aar, Ash, and Lily Claire.

I took Lily Claire to the Dr. on Tuesday because she had not slept in 4 nights. They said that she had a viral infection but it wasn't to bad. Her stomach has been messed up for the past few days though and I think that could have been the major problem. They started her on Prevacid for the acid reflux and she is doing much better. She weighed 11lbs and 4oz at the Dr. She is growing everyday and doing something new everyday. She is very loving and such a good baby. She has been sleeping through the night for several weeks now. She goes to bed around 9 or 10 and doesn't wake up til around 5 or 5:30 the next morning. She is a happy baby and absolutely loves for anyone to talk to her. She tries really hard to talk back to you.

Glad she's feeling better!! Matthew took medication for acid reflux too and it made such a difference! Hope you're all doing well!

On April 8 Lily Claire went back to see Dr. Price. She was 10lbs now and 22 in long. She said that she was in the normal range and was growing wonderfully. She is getting more alert everyday. She loves to play and laugh now. She likes everyones full attention on her. She was in her first beauty review on April 11. There was 5 people in the pageant and she won. She did so great. She didn't cry any. I will get some new pics uploaded soon and keep everyone updated on how she is doing.

Lily went for her 2 week appointment on Feb. 24. She had gained up to 7lbs and 4oz and she was 19 and 3/4 long. She is going back to the Dr. on April 8. She is growing and changing so much everyday. She is smiling so much and she is such a happy baby. I will try to keep everyone updated on how she is growing. We love you all.

Lily Claire Hulsey arrived on Feb. 9, 2009 at 11:42a.m. She had to make a stubborn debut as always. They induced my labor on Monday morning at 8a.m. and by 10a.m. I was dilated to 5cm. Her heart rate begin to drop after that due to the contractions being so hard and so close together. Dr. Hudson came in and checked on me and her and decided after about 30min. that we had to do an emergency c-section. I was so afraid at first but Dr. Hudson kept Aaron and me calm. The healing process was rough, but I tried to walk alot to get the soreness out. We are all doing great now. Lily Claire will be 3 weeks old on Monday. She was 7lbs. 4oz on Tuesday at her appt. It is so hard to believe that she is growing up so fast. Thank you all for the comments. We love you all!

I went to the Dr today. He said that everything looks great. He said I was still only dilated about 1cm. Lily Claire is going to be stubborn about coming into the world. He said that I will come back to the Dr on Thursday. He said if I don't have her by then that he will put me in the hospital on Sunday the 8th during that afternoon and do a sonogram. He said then on Monday we will induce. I'll keep everyone updated.

I went back to the Dr. on Wednesday Jan. 21. I forgot to update on the Thursday before which was Jan. 15, but there wasn't any changes. On the 21st he said that I was dilated 1cm still and that it was very soft which means I was making progress. I am going back on Friday Jan. 30. I'm hoping I will be dilated more and making more progress towards her getting here at that time. We have everything ready for her now and are getting very anxious for her to get here. Dr. Hudson said that if we didn't have her by Feb. 9 that he will do a sonogram on that day and will induce me on either the 10th or the 11th. He said we will have a baby no matter what by the weekend. I will keep everyone posted on the progress. We are hoping it's not going to be very much longer.

Yay on being soft and 1 cm! Lots of walking, lunges and spicy food can help speed that along!!

Well I am officially off work on maternity leave due to swelling. I went to the Dr. on Jan. 8 and Dr. Hudson told me just to keep my feet up and rest as much as possible. I'm not on complete bed rest as of now though. I was not dilated any on that visit or thinned out any. I will keep everyone updated weekly on how much I have dilated and thinned out.
I went back to the Dr yesterday and he said that I had actually lost a pound. He said that I proved his point. I am building fluid from working on my feet all day. He said I will come back to see him on next Thursday Jan. 8 and he will decide on a weekly basis from that point on if I continue to work or not. He said that if I have gained 3 or 4 lbs when I come back Thursday that I am finished. I am hoping that I can keep working a little longer but whatever I have to do I will. We are getting very excited. Only 6 weeks left and our sweet angel will be here. My shower is Friday night and I am SUPER excited. Dr. Hudson said that Lily Claire was still doing great. No worries with her.
I went back to the Dr. on Thursday Dec. 4. Dr. Hudson said everything was still going great. Lily Claire's heartbeat was strong and she was very active. We discussed me taking my maternity leave on Feb. 5. I am hoping that I can make it until then. He said that I might cut back on my hours a little more when it starts getting closer after the first of the year. Lily Claire is getting very strong and more active by the day. I love the feeling though. We are just basically counting down the days until she gets here now. We are becoming more and more excited. I am scheduled for another appt with Dr. Hudson on Dec. 18 and another 4D sonogram on Dec. 19. We got pregnancy pics made on Saturday so once we get them I will put them on her page for everyone to see.

I went back to the Dr. again on Thursday. He said everything was good and he had no complaints. He just explained of what was to come in the next few weeks and told me that I would be coming every 2 weeks. He said that he won't let me go over any longer than 2 days if she is going to be late. So we should have a baby no later than Feb. 12. I wanted to let everyone know that I have registered for the items to match her bedding at babysupermall.com. It is the pink and brown ladybugs. We have also registered at Babies R Us and Wal-Mart now. They are having my shower on January 2. I go back to the Dr. this time in 3 weeks because of Thanksgiving, so it will be December 4 when I go again.
I went back to the Dr. on Friday. He said everything was still going good except my iron was a little low. He said that I wasn't anemic, but it was low. I have to start taking the iron pills everyday now to build it back up. I thought it might be a little low because I had been a little more tired lately. We also went for the 4D sonogram on Friday. It was the most amazing thing I believe I have ever seen. Lily of course didn't act very well for it. She turned her head and covered up her face at the first of the sonogram. She once again had her foot and leg up by her head whenever she first started the sonogram. We got some pretty funny pics at the end when she started moving a little. We will have the CD on Tuesday so we can download them for everyone to see. I believe she is going to be one stubborn child. We love you all!

We just wanted to let everyone know that we have finally registered at Babies R Us. We are going to register at Wal-Mart this weekend. I know several people have been asking so I just wanted to let everyone know. We are all doing good. Aaron is starting a new job at Ashley tomorrow. He is very excited. My next Dr's visit will be this Friday. I will be doing the sugar test that day and then I will begin going to see Dr. Hudson every 2 weeks. I am also supposed to have a 3D or 4D sonogram that day. I will update and let everyone know how it goes.
Well we have finally gotton moved in to our new home. We are so excited and so proud of it. It is so much more room for us and we know we are going to need the extra space with our little Lily. We are both totally exhausted after all the moving and cleaning. I never knew my body could be so sore and so tired. We have Lily Claire's room fixed although everything isn't done completely yet. I have posted some pics of her bed, bassinet, and changing table. We chose pink ladybugs for her decorations because I love Ladybugs. I went to the Dr. on Thursday for my vist and Dr. Hudson said that I was doing absolutely great and that Lily Claire was very very active during the visit. He listened to her heartbeat and said that she was moving everywhere. I knew what he was talking about because she kept kicking my stomach over and over. He said that I will come back on Oct. 31 for my glucose test and that after that visit I will begin coming every 2 weeks. I had gained 7 lbs on my visit Thursday. I will continue to keep everyone updated.
We are sorry we havn't wrote in awhile but it's just been really busy around here. Between work and everything with our new house it has been really crazy and stressful. Eveything is finally getting better though. Lily has began to move more now and I feel her a little stronger everyday now. She has kicked me pretty hard a couple of different times lately. She has been doing a good job of keeping me up at night lately too. My ankles started swelling about 2 weeks ago and the only way they will go down is if I sit and prop them on a pillow. My back is my only other complaint. I never knew how bad your sciatic nerve could effect your leg until I became pregnant. I really can't complain though because I have felt really well lately other than being overtired from working. I have been working by myself alot in the office and so it has made it really hard some days. Aaron has been a big help though. He takes care of ironing my clothes and helping keep the house clean so I can rest when I get home. I think he is getting more excited everyday about Lily arriving. He said that he is just ready for her to be here. We have all of her furniture ordered for her room and it should be here in about 7 weeks. I will post pictures once we get everything set up. My next Dr.'s appt is on Oct. 9. I will keep everyone posted. We love you all!!
