Mackenzie taking her first steps Feb 9th, 2009.
On Thursday January 15th, 2009 at 9:24am Mackenzie celebrated her 1st Birthday. She started the day at Day Care and ended the evening with a small Family and Close friends Dinner. It was beautiful and although she was not aware of the exact reason she was getting all that attention, she loved every minute of it. She was blessed with great gifts, money and the best gift of all, everyone who loved her was there to share in her special day. YAY!!!!!
Click here to see Mackenzie with a kitten in Jamaica Mackenzie went to visit her family in Jamaica for the very first time. She met her Grandma, Great-Grandparents, Great- Grand Aunt, and her Aunt Natalie. Mackenzie had a good time ine Jamaica, she visited the famous Hellshire Beach, but did not like the water. She got a few bites from the local mosquitos and handled the heat very well.
Mackenzie went to Atlanta on her very first plane ride. She was very good on the plane, she took short naps both ways and was very alert. She did fuss a bit, but only when it was feeding time. Everyone was in love with her and the flight attendant held her for a little while. Mommy and Daddy were a bit nervous not sure what to expect but little Kenzie did just GREAT. My first road trip
March 29,2008 I went to Philadelphia to visit my cousin Matyas. He was ill and was in the hospital. ( very sad). My Aunt Monika drove my Mommy and I there. I was happy to see Matyas, but was sad that he was sick. On the way back home we stopped and surprised Grandma Judith, she was so excited to see me. Our girls trip was sad and fun at the same time. When I got home my Daddy couldn't stop hugging and kissing me. He kept saying "I missed you Kenzie and How my name was chosen. My Mommy decided that she wanted me to have something from her past, so she thought to herself "what could I give from my past for my daughter to take into the future."? Then it hit her, "I will name her using my Maiden name Mack" she said to herself. From Mack, came Mackenzie and from my Mommy and Daddy came me. Mackenzie pronounced (mah KEN zee) is Gaelic and is also used as a unisex name. Its also very common in Scotland, famously known as the Mackenzie clan. |
