 December 31, 2008 Naomi and Colby had their well-child visits yesterday so here are the stats. Naomi is a very healthy and tall 7 year old girl. She is 49 3/4 inches tall (81%) and weighs 54.4 lbs.(68%). Colby is also a very healthy and tall 18 month old boy. He is 34 1/2 inches tall (96%) and weighs 26.4 lbs. (64%). Colby got two shots and took them very well, cried for a few minutes and then rubbed his arm and said "boo boo". Happy new year to all our friends and family!! Add A Comment December 26, 2008 We had a very Merry Christmas! You will see LOTS of new pictures. We spent the evening of Christmas Eve with friends and family. The McLaughlin's really know how to throw a great birthday party for Jesus...lots of good food and spending time with great friends and family! Christmas morning was very relaxing with the kids. They opened their gifts, we had an awesome breakfast (thanks to Daddy). Then we had some more play time with our Aunts, Uncles and cousins at our house. Add A Comment December 21, 2008 Well, we've had back to back snow storms. Friday we got about 10 inches, which Jason was out plowing until Saturday afternoon. Then today we got another 10 inches, so Jason was out again all day plowing. Needless to say we are hoping for a break from the snow for a few days. We may get a "wintry mix" on Christmas Eve...yikes! Add A Comment December 19, 2008 We are hunkered down for a snowstorm here...8-12 inches are expected. As soon as we get pics of the kids playing in the snow we'll post them here so check back in a few days. Happy Winter from New England!! Add A Comment December 17, 2008 We celebrated Christmas with Grampie and GrammaKate last night. We went to see the lights display at the Stone Zoo. It was cold but we all had a good time. Then we opened presents and everyone was psyched with what they got...Naomi got a didj and Daniel got a Leapster2 and Colby got some new very cool balls. The tree was finally finished being decorated (a 3 day event). Add A Comment December 14, 2008 Naomi had her 7th birthday party on Monday. You will find some pictures in her album on the pictures page. Today we had the Rouse Christmas party...also Jason's birthday...so there are some pictures of that too in the Nov/Dec album. Add A Comment December 13, 2008 Well, we have had quite a wild weekend. On Thursday night, northern New England encountered an ice storm. We were one of the unfortunate ones who lost power in the middle of the night. Schools were cancelled on Friday. We spent the day with the McLaughlin family in Georgetown - only 10 minutes away and had electricity! We couldn't take the kids home to a cold house for the night so we packed up and headed to Melrose to stay with my Dad...indefinitely. We were told that it could be days before our power was restored. Yikes! Naomi and I performed in our church's Christmas musical Friday night and got a phone call from Jason around 10:30ishpm that night that our power was back on- YAY! Naomi and I performed in the musical twice on Saturday. Then we had to prepare for the Rouse Christmas party on Sunday! I will finally be able to catch my breath Sunday night, whew! The title for the Christmas musical this year said it all, " 'Tis the Season". Add A Comment December 3, 2008 Well, finally we've been able to add new pictures. Sorry it's been so long. We had our computer fixed and didn't lose any of our pictures or documents...praise God! We are looking forward to a Christmas season full of joy and blessings. Add A Comment November 7, 2008 Well, here we go again...Jason lost his job at Barker Lumber. We will keep you updated through his job search but for now all we can do is pray for God's plan to be revealed. The kids are doing great...Colby is walking everywhere, Daniel and Naomi are done with soccer and focusing on dance now. Hopefully we will be able to upload some new pics soon! Add A Comment November 1, 2008 I can't believe it's already November! The Fall is just whizzing by...between dance, school, soccer and just the everyday things that keep you busy. Our family has been staying involved in church activities too. Our children bring us such joy, we are so thankful God has blessed us with being their parents. Keep checking for pictures, we are hoping to get our computer fixed this week. Add A Comment October 19, 2008 We are having computer problems so we will get some new pictures up as soon as we can. Add A Comment October 18, 2008 On your mark, get set, go...Colby is finally walking !!! He has taken some steps here and there but nothing serious until today. He started walking from one end of the room to the other without any hesitation and apparently got the confidence he needed to "just do it" (to steal Nike's catch phrase). He still falls alot and reverts to crawling when he's in a hurry to get somewhere but, for all intents and purposes HE'S WALKING - YAY! Add A Comment October 11, 2008 Abby (our Nanny) took the boys to the Topsfield Fair on Thursday and they had a great time!!! We went apple picking today and got some yummy apples. You'll see by the pictures that we had a great family time. Add A Comment September 24, 2008 The Rouse family had their summer get-together on the 14th, just squeaking it in before the beginning of Fall. We had a nice cookout in the rain so we ended up eating indoors, but everyone had a great time. Nana got to hold her newest great-grandson and visit with all her family. Add A Comment September 6, 2008 Well, we all started back to school this week. Naomi and Daniel both started soccer today too!! They were very excited to wear cleats and shin pads along with their team shirts. Naomi was pretty timid but had lots of fun. Daniel was not so timid and scored two goals. Add A Comment August 27, 2008 Today was Daniel's first day of his 4year old preschool class. He was very excited and had lots of fun playing with his friends. Also, Mommy got a new haircut so check it out. A new 'do' for a new year! Add A Comment August 10, 2008 We had a pool party/cookout at the Babbitts today. Mommy got lobster and seafood casserole! I was included in the National Holiday (Betsie, Liz and Joel all share the same birthday on August 8th) since I also have an August birthday. Oh, how I love summer!!! Check out some fun pictures of Colby too. Add A Comment August 5, 2008 Well, we just finished a wonderfully fun week with our family, the Ritters. We did all kinds of fun things as you will see from the pictures. We are so excited they came to Massachusetts to play with us. Add A Comment July 24, 2008 Well, we are enjoying our summer. This week has been very wet so we've been stuck inside alot but Mommy's been able to get some things done around the house so that's always a good thing. The kids are great and I love being home with them during the summer. I took some pictures of our front "garden". It's really full of weeds but the flowers that have bloomed are beautiful!
