auguast 29th-sept 5th 2008   Hawaii Girls Trip
coming soon:

I arived several hours earlier than debb< and i have to confess it was pathetic. i checked in unpacked and then had no idea what to do with myself. I went down to the beach to read a little and felt so guilty that i couldn't even enjoy the solitude. I was so glad when it was finally time to pick debbie up from the airport. on our way back to the hotel the car started making really wierd sounds and driving strange...debbie exclaimed "it feels like we are dragging a dead body!". at that moment we both started freaking a little until we saw lights a head... a hotel. wd pulled over and there was, of coarse no dead body, but we did have a flat tire.

We called the rental company and they brought us another car....oh the excitment of a vaca was just starting!
day one, we went to one of the most beautiful beaches on earth and read some of "the book" of the trip. but the scenery was just wonderful to not be a part of it.

And the conversation was so great, debbie is truly an amazing person, and the most wonderful friend! we went to lunch then heded to another beach to read swim, and chat. but on theway we had to stop to explore the caves.....

you cant really see but this cave is filled with water and there is a tunnel in the way back... i was determined to make it to the tunnel. the thing that stoped me was not the sign warning of bacteria in the waater but the icey temperature. bummer next year we will have to get a kayack and explore.
it was such a great day, relaxing and being silly...

day 2 we went over to waemea canyon, this place is amazing...seriously the majestic beauty of this  island make it clearly evident od a higher power.

After seeing the wateerfall, we were determined to hike to it...

So we stared...there were a few few things that stood in our way
1.)
2.)
3.)
but we made in in spite of all the hindering factors...

and i left my mark!

what a fun dayfor 'bink' and 'fink'.

Day three we hit the beach with our books again.

we stoped to see an old historic church building...

truly beautiful, but too tempting for me to resrain my sillyness.

After soaking up our vitamin D and absorbing as much vampire romance as our hearts could handle we went back to our resort.

the pool was incredible, and i found my next hair color...

that night we went to sushi...not the best wehad ever had...and the atmosphere was also subpar, but we managed to have fun...

we went back to our cozy room for some sweet treats and another chick flick,( we watched on every night).

Day 4 we went to the bid refugeand light house....

And then we were off for our big adventure...keyackinghen hiking to another waterfall

it was hard work...

and it left us both thirsty!!!

but we made it!

On our hike back to the river we left our prayer rocks...

it was so fun we felt such a sence of acomplishmentand felt intitled to our next days adventures.

day four we went to the spa and got pampered...the massages were fabulous, although we werent too impressed by thr faclity. but still wonderfull to relax.

then we headed back to another beach...there were masses of volcanic rock meeting the ocean...it was truly an amazing siht, unfortunatly the tide was coming in so we didnt get to really experience it; and even capturing pictures of it was almost a wasted effort.

so we decided to get some reading time in, we paused only to admire the rainbow...

day 5 we decided to absorb some more beaches our last full day, on or way we stared a little hike out in the sugar cane feils.

we didnt get very far before we decided this was not what we really anted to spend our day doing so we ventured back out to our car, only..... i decided i was going to add auto theft to our list of activities...

oops! debbie showed me the errors of my ways and i reformed quickly! j/k
we couldnt bear leaving the feils with out snapping a few shots...

but overall we were happt to see our car, and not to have to hike.
we then headed off to some famous beaches, i didnt get any pics of them...but i loved them.....
that night we went to our laou it was grat dancing,  and great food

but i think you mostly end up paying for the open bar... wich i dont think our shirllly  temples made it worth it, especially the way this guy guzzled them.

it was a great experience though... we were happy to have seen it.

my last day sadly we packed up said goodby to our room with a veiw,

got fruity,

and that was the end of hawaii 2008.

      August 22-24, 2008 A Weekend Get-Away

Jeremy and I flew out to Maryland for a quick,( and I mean quick) trip! Brian Jacolick was having a surprise birthday party and we just couldn't miss it!

We spent the morning with Carole crabbing...

It was hot...Jeremy was about jump in for a quick cool off when we saw...

So, he opted to stick to crabbing after that, and we had success

Afterwards we went to lunch and then had the remainder of the day to keep Brian out of his house and unaware of the big birthday bash... It got tricky towards the end but thanks to Suze,( Brian's darling Girlfriend) it all worked out!

August 25, 2008   First Day of School/ First Soccer Game

Jt and Kaylen started school.... I cannot believe It is in Kindergarten already!

After School Jt was exhausted,(he is in all day kindergarten), but his day was no where near over. He had his first soccer game of the season...he did awesome until he and his team became more interested in who had the best ninja moves than in the ball.

Look at that ball control,(that is him with the ball...I cut his head off; i was using my phone to take pictures.) to bad I didn't have better camera control.

Each month we get together to discuss the previous book and kick off the next...this month we discussed 'The Good Earth' and kicked off 'Breaking Dawn'...

We ate Pizza and 'dirt'...if you have read the books then you know why.

She had a little case of stage fright before going on stage...

but she still did great!!!

I realized after here first dance i wasn't supposed to be videoing. so i don't have a clip of her tap dancing....but it was to die for she did awesome!!! I do have a couple pictures of her in her costume though....

after the show we took our little family to dinner at Panda express,(because Jt has been dieing ti try Chinese food after learning about China in school....they were not impressed.) and daddy and the boys brought Kaylen some congratulatory flowers.

We took the kids to the museum in Carson City and saw some interesting things, and had a lot of fun!

After we had seen it all we drove up Kings Canyon and climed rocks!

The big excitment was our find....our first lizard of the many in our future.the kids LOVED him.

We took him home with us in a creative container...

And we named him blueberry in honor of his bluebelly.

What has happened to him you ask....the kids set him free in our friends home!!! Dont you all just want us to come over???

things you missed. take 1.... Jeremy had his 10 Year Reunion

Well truthfully he was not planning on going because he thinks the idea of a reunion is a pretty silly, (especially because he is in contact with all his friends from highschool still...or so he thought.).

first we met up at the JT,(it is a Basc restaraunt, no that is NOT Jt's namesake!) people were a little nuts but we still managed to have a good time laughing at everyone!

And suprise suprise Jeremy ran into so people he hadnt been in touch with ina LONG time.

Then on the next day was the family picnic....Jeremy had a blast plaing wiffle ball

Until Jt demanded some attention!

Jt,Jt why cant you be as even tempered as Sam,(he must take after me...eeek!)

Jeremy gathered some friends to play down on the Ranch with our newest toys.

After a quick clean up we went to the grand fanally,(yes, Jeremy and I took a more adventurous rout)....

 dinner and DANCING!!!

I am certainly glad Jeremy went... it was fun to see him catch up with old friends.

Oh yeah, hoped you noticed Jeremys shirt....

April 22-26, 2008 Utah.... longest post ever!!!!

we went to Utah for Jeff's graduation from Law School....So proud of you Jeffy!

We had lots of fun while there: and took lots of pictures. So enjoy!!!

first during our 8 hour drive Jts overactive bladder was acting up...finally after the 3rd potty stop I told him to just go in his empty sippy cup......big mistake! we get to Utah, tired and DIRTY!!! as we are unloading I see a moose, and of coarse I want to be able to prove to Jeremy that I really saw the sucker, so I run up with my camera. I am snapping away trying to get a clear shot when all of a sudden he stops and stares at me and I swear those eyes where evil!!! That is the moment I remember that moose are dangerous, and aggressive....I am less than 20 feet away armed only with my camera....significantly spooked I high tail and run as fast as I can....I was sooo bummed that after all that this is the best shot I got.

So after we get unpacked bathed and Jammied we went to the grocery store,

but as soon as we get to the car I realize we are clean and our car is well far from....this might give you an idea!

So i put Sam in the driver seat, so he can play while Jt Kaylen and I start clearing out all the trash and...what not. As I am walking back from garbage I noticed that Sam is no longer in the drivers seat, I look in the back of the car to find Sam in Jts seat happily kicking his little feet while he CHUGGS away,(he has even unscrewed the lid) on Jts's sippy cup of.....!!! Natural reaction I screamed at the top of my lungs, scared poor Sam to death, and he throws the cup. My car will never be the same!!!! And I seriously was thinking Sam was going to need ipecac or something, but nope I guess drinking urine is not really that dangerous. I now you can all throw- up now!!!

The next day after....sort of recovering we went to lunch at a family favorite, Spaghetti Factory.

Jt and Kayleb were so stinkin' funny!!

After adding 5 pounds of carbs we went over to Temple Square. It was so beautiful, the flowers,

(Jtis doing the robot!!!)

the sculptures,

and the spirit,

it was truly amazing to take my kids there.

They, of coarse loved the fountain the best.

We thought we would take the kids to visit the Beehive house,(a house that Brigham Young lived in). It was really interesting. The kids liked some parts...

And others not so much.

But I know Jt and Kaylen will remember it, and I am all about the memories!

We actually cut the tour short so we could watch the Joseph Smith Movie at the Joseph Smith Memorial building.....THAT WAS INCREDABLE!!!! Jt really liked it too. It spurred lots of questions and really got him interested in our church history.....well at least for 1 day. I really can not describe the spirit....GO.....GO,GO,GO!!!!

after such a long day we all felt like little miss Kaylen!

Day 2,

Our big group decided to visit thanksgiving point.  we wanted to see the dinosaur exhibit because, hello-o, Jt and Sam are crazy about dinos!

my good Friend Kelly Hines moved to Utah a few years ago, so she met us there with 2 of her 3 kids.

It was so great to see them again after so long...

Then...

Now...

It was great just being goofy with Family and friends.

And I finally got to meet Dana soon to be Hallstrom,(way to go Dave! She rocks!)

they put on these din costume things, we told them to growl, and this is what we got....GRRRR!!!

( sorry guys, it is too funny not to post!!!)

They had these awesome tables with sand and water and miniture dinosaurs....we has lots of fun talking while the kids and the boys played!

After making it through the museum, which was really cool!!!!

We went to the 3-D dinosaur movie.

then it was time to head out....back through the snow,( no I am not kidding, it was snowing!) to the cars.

Day 3. Graduation day!!!!

Way to go Jeff, and props to you Ali for getting him through!!! You are such a trooper! I think we where all bursting with pride to know Jeff!!!

And even Kaylen was in Love with him!

It was great great to show my kids the recognition that comes with such a huge accomplishment. And they loved it because afterwards we went to Jeff and Ali's for some cupcakes and Ice cream!

My kids where a little restless; ok, a lot we tried to entertain them the best we could

but no luck so we all decided to go have dinner in Park City. The Plan was that we could introduce Ali to Indiana Jones,(can't believe she's never seen them!) we ate, swam, and put the kids to bed. And after the kids where asleep the party began, no not really we just stared looking at funny movies on the computer....I was laughing so hard I was crying!  we just couldn't stop, we were up till 2:30!!! And after such a late night Ali can still say she has never seen Indiana Jones. Here are some of our favorites.

Anonymous Philanthropist Donates 200 Human Kidneys To Hospital

The next morning it was time to head home. The kids were sad to say goodbye to everyone, especially grandma with her games

 and books!

Yeah, My kids had some Hallstrom influence these last few days....

Hope their not permanently scarred!

JUST KIDDING GUYS :)
