June 22nd, 2006 Jasmin playing with her Haha hammer June 20th, 2006 Jasmin being cheeky, playing around in her walker June 9th, 2006 Jasmin woke me up this morning..she stood at her cot railing, calling mama..when i pretended to continue sleeping, she reached through the bars to pull at my hair, cause I sleep just beside her cot. hehe June 8th, 2006 Jasmin called me Mama today and meant it! she has been babbling mama baba papa for several weeks now, but its just words/mumblings to her without any meaning. but today, when she wanted my attention, she touched my knee, looked at me and said mama...my heart melted! what an amazing birthday present from her! :o) June 1st, 2006 Jasmin opening the cupboard May 31st, 2006 Our poor baby Jasmin has been sick for about a week now. She's almost fully recovered, only left a bit of cough. On the whole, it has been one stressful week, until mummy fell sick too with Lack of sleep, body heatiness...mummy ended up having blocked nose, cough and nosebleed. Anyway, here's how everything happened.. On tuesday evening (May 23rd,2006) Jasmin started developing a fever, around 38 degrees. Had blocked nose and cough. So we brought her to the family GP nearby. He gave her some baby panadol and said that it was a viral fever, anti-biotics no use, baby must learn to fight out the virus herself. Turns out that Jasmin caught the virus from her gymboree class. Cause four other babies there also fell sick with viral fever. Two of the babies more serious, were hospitalised because sick until got dehydration. However, through the night, Jasmin's fever escalated higher (normal for viral fevers) to 39.2 degrees. Freaked her daddy & mummy out, so next morning, rushed her to the PD at TMC. Long queue as usual, but they allowed us to cut queue (also had to wait about an hour) cause Jasmin's fever was considered high. Her PD Dr. Ong examined her and gave her stronger medicine, and also said has to let the viral fever take its course. Usually about 5 days. On the 6th day, Monday 29th May, jasmin still had cough, and a little bit fever (37.8 degrees. Technically, according to PD, for baby using ear thermometer, only 38degrees and above considered fever) so actually Jasmin supposedly no fever, but mummy and grandma think got fever, cause jasmin's body felt warm. So mummy kept trying to call the PD to make appointment. But monday, PEAK period, the nurses didn't answer the phone. Mummy called from 830am to 1030am. Finally, fed up, grandpa drove mummy down to TMC to make appointment/collect queue number first. Wah! clinic was super packed! no place to even stand, no wonder nurses didn't want to answer the phone. Mummy squeezed to the front of the pack and spoke with Jasmin's favourite nurse. Mummy laid it on thick..said bb 6th day still got high fever and cough getting worse. Nurse said ok, bring jasmin down, she let us cut queue. Yeah! Grandpa fetch mummy back home, then grandma and jasmin bundled into the car, and we rush down to TMC again. Once at the clinic, Jasmin's favourite nurse let us go in immediately. haha i think several daggers were thrown at my back...who cares?! PD examined Jasmin, then took her temperature, said it was ok, even though 37.6degrees then. He asked mummy, no fever what? cause below 38 degrees. i was like...er, at night it went up to 38.1 degrees, but after panadol it went down...sweatz..super KS mummy..but PD did say her cough worsened. So PD gave baby anti-biotics to kill off any remaining bugs, as well as stronger cough medication. After 8 days of medicine taking, Jasmin is fed up and angry with mummy everytime she sees me carrying a syringe. She will bat at my hands to push my hands away, will keep her mouth closed and crouch her head down so i can't feed her medicine...so must cajole, bluff and force her lor.. Now she's almost 100% recovered, just left a little bit of cough...

April 8th, 2006 Oh no! Jasmin fell off the bed this morning! mummy left her with daddy on their bed, while she went to the toilet. Suddenly, she heard a loud 'bump' and loud wailing. She ran to the room, and daddy was carrying a crying jasmin, and daddy looked pale and in shock. Apparently, daddy dozed off for a few seconds, but that's all it took for Jasmin to climb off and fall off their bed! Mummy carried jasmin and soothed her, and she stopped crying. Mummy then fed her some Jin Feng San and daddy sang songs for jasmin. within mins Jasmin was smiling and giggling again. But Daddy and mummy were still worried, so they rushed her to Mt Alvernia A&E, 24hr family clinic. The doctor did a full body checkup and said Jasmin was ok, no problem. But mummy and daddy were still worried, so the following monday April 10th, they brought her to see her PD Dr. EK Ong for a second checkup. Doctor said that as long as no vomitting, no dazed look etc, baby is fine. So no more sleeping on the bed with Jasmin, understand mummy & daddy? April 4th, 2006 Jasmin just starting to use the walker
