Stories

August 8, 2011   4 more days and school starts.  This summer has flown by and we've enjoyed most all of it.  We vacationed for most of June and hung around  home in July.  I thought I was ready for school to start back until yesterday.  I broke down in tears during church thinking about another year gone.  Sure, there is much to look forward to but there is also a lot to say goodbye to as well.  Gabrielle will be full day this year and it struck me that my time at home with her all day is over... gone... done.  From this point on she will be in school all day.  She's no longer a baby.  I know I'm dramatic but Mom says it was always emotional for her when school started back.  Brady and Cooper will go to preschool 5 days a week.  I also made the decision to separate them this year.  They can't keep their hands off each other wrestling and playing.  Their teachers felt it would be best since in order to prepare them for Deerfield Pre-K next year they should "focus" a little this year.  The kids are neither here nor there on excitement for school starting.  When Thursday night arrives I'm sure they'll be some butterflies.   The house is coming along.  We have a good solid foundation and it's ready for framing.  I'm very excited and looking forward to what's to come.  The bottom will be brick and they have already placed it.  I love the color and texture of the brick.  I've made a promise to myself that I will NOT let this house stress me out.  I am going to make well thought out decisions and go with my gut instinct.  This is an exciting time and building our forever home (Lord willing) is a true blessing.   On Saturday Gabrielle and I went to Tallahassee, FL with Teresa and Shelby.  Shelby is 16 and I didn't know what we were in for shopping with a 16 year old.  It was so much fun and I swear Gabrielle was harder than Shelby!  She's become so particular about what she wears.  She told me the other day that a certain pair of shorts made her butt look big!  I thought I would fall out.  And no she does not hear that from me.  I make it a point to compliment myself whether I feel like it or not when I'm around her.  I want her to have healthy and confident self esteem.  Jackson is still a fashion icon.  He makes up cool outfits all the time.  He's hilarious and JUST like his Daddy.

July 26, 2011 I finally got some pics loaded!  Enjoy and I'll catch up tomorrow.  It's after midnight...
