Will December 2009
Starting to dig the dinasours and periods of time they lived. Still loves trains, puzzles and cars. We now have a pet snail in the house, frogs and he tried convincing me the worms he dug up had to come inside and live with the snail in the bug habit. Some day I know there will be something slimmy in my shoe or bed.
Morgan Dec.2009 (18 months)
New words: "cool" and "Ta Da" with arms out, "Mine", "Santa" and "Sorry".
Will was a bouncer, Morgan is a climber & runner. She is up on everything without fear. I thought Will screamed loud until Morgan gets going. Her personality is growing stronger and stronger. She is sweet, carries around her stuffed animals and dolls and kisses them. She is strong, determined and is an instigator. She LOVES animals and squeals when she sees dogs.
March 09 Morgan started crawling 3 days before her 9 month birthday. She is ALL over the place and into way more than Will at this age. She kind of giggles as she crawls because she understands she has just discovered mobility. Wthin days of crawling, she started pulling herself up; at the couch, at her sit and spin, at the dining room chairs....She starts squealing if she can't keep up or get somewhere she wants. Will is not too thrilled she can get into his room, to his train tracks or any of his toys. Sharing is not a strong point. Feb 09' Lil Mo sat up today all by her little self. She had been rolling all over the family room, then I looked over and saw her sitting up holding one of Will's toy remote control's operating an airplane with her mouth and fingers! Stinker. She has her two bottom teeth in and is eating solid foods like mad. Everything I "test" giving her, she gobbles down, crazy! She has the cutest little laugh, Steve calls her Spicoli. She says Mamma and Dadda and "appears" to use the appropriate name with the person. Steve taught her to clap and she is so proud to demonstrate her new skill. Will loves Anderson Island, everytime Steve mentions to go, he is jumping up and down with excitement. He loves the travel there - by car, ferry and a great set of railroad tracks to cross over that usually has many trains traveling on it. This kid also loves fish, Steve caught a trout in the AI lake last year and we were worried to gut it and bbq it infront of him but he got into the whole process. Can't wait to get nicer weather and the boat out... Oct 08' Well surgery went well and we are home. Morgan is handling her pain well (on tylenol and Ibuprofen). She has a drain on her right side (instead of the intended stint that was supposed to go in). This is because she had some kinks in her ureter, so a stint would not fit. She will have a small scar on her right side. The drain will come out October 8th. Our Urologist will be following her until she is a teenager and he anticipates her rt kidney will stabilize and the surgery reduces the risk for kidney stones, infection or removal of the kidney. After 2 years of battling Will's hair, mamma bought some clippers on a 90 degree weather day and buzzed him! Positive comments, except from Mor Mor. I loved the longer hair too but I love not fighting him in the mornings better! Swim class has turned into a great time, Will is going under water - breathing correctly, jumping in and finding the side of the swimming pool. Open this please - K? Pretty dark, its pretty dark!!! Daddy, play rough with me please - time to wressle. MOM!!!- juice please - K?, granola bar please - K? - Thomas Show please - K? Some of my favorite lines in the month. Aug 08' Lil Mo's surgery at Childr en's is scheduled for 9/22 (in 2 weeks - yikes!). Technical stuff: she has a ureteric obstruction at her right kidney/renal area and hydronephrosis. Her nuclear medicine test confirmed her right kidney is only taking 27% of the blood flow and kidney function on the left is taking 73%. Plus her rt kidney is smaller and less in size. They hope to correct the enlargement of the renal pelvis and increase kidney function too. She will be in the hosptial overnight and released the next day. Our little love bug is sleeping better thru the night (love it). Morgan is smiling, cooing and loves to be with the action - she is very social and melts our hearts with her smile & juicy raspberries July 08' MORGAN On 7/15/08 (her due date), Morgan weighs in at close to 9 lbs! Little Chunker. She is very expressive with her hands, always close to her face - likes she is posing :). She is quite a snuggler, loves to be held. However, the car seat is not her favorite thing, probably because at 5 + lbs the straps engulf her body. She is eating really well and gaining good weight. We are starting to see some baby "rolls" and chub on her. WILL
Our little dictator continues strenghtening his independence skills. He has started swimming lessons and enjoys the water but not the back float and refuses to put his ears under the water...time will tell if he gets his mother or father's swimming skills :) He has also started Montessori school at Small Worlds where his cousins and friend Ella attends. He loves puzzles. The more difficult, the more he enjoys it - the way he focuses is amazing! He can't quite say his little sisters name but he gets close with "Your-Gan".
May, 22 2008. What a busy May! Mother's Day, Will's last day of school - 90' weather and breakin out the swimming pools, squirt guns and shorts and now Memorial weekend. Hopefully the warm weather returns. The Udy's are off to Anderson Island for the long weekend. Safe and fun weekend to everyone. April, 20 2008. It has been snowing for 3 days now and we are almost to May! The hummingbirds are thoroughly confused.
