December 27, 2008  It was a wonderful Christmas at the Werner house.  Santa went a little crazy making presents for the boys and we are now drowning in them.  The families all came over at some point durning the day.  We all had a great time and had good food.  Merry Christmas to everyone and to all a good new year!

December 7, 2008  We just got home from our annual winter Ocean City trip.  The boys had a great time.  They had Rob in the pool all weekend.  I bet they are all still water logged.  Joshua and Shawn shared a bed for three nights.  That was interesting.  Shawn is used to sleeping with his tv on all night.  While Joshua is used to sleeping in his crib snuggled up in the corner with no lights and the door closed.  It was very difficult to get them to fall asleep together.

November 1,2008  Halloween was a huge success!  The day before we went visiting to Grandmom and Grandaddy's house then to Grandma's house so that everyone could see the boys in there costumes.  Then on Friday we went to Rob's parents house to go trick or treating.  (Since nobody in our neighborhood gives out candy.)  The boys were very anxious to get started-of course.  Joshua only lasted about 20 minutes and then he and I turned around and headed home.  But Shawn and Rob made it about an hour.  They reached their goal of filling up Shawn's book bag!

October 20, 2008  Yesterday Shawn turned 5 years old!  I con't believe it, my baby is five years old.  Seems like just yesterday...

He had a great day.  It started at 6:15 in the mrning when he woke all of us up to open his presents.  He seemed to really like is new bat and batting gloves.  Then he had to wait 8 hours to get ready for his swim party.  Talk about an anxious child.  But the time finally rolled around and he had a ball at the pool party.  I think all the kids did.  Except Joshua- he hated it.  We had to ask Mom-mom to come pick him up.  He was scared to death of the loudness in the pool and all the people.  He's our little wuss.

Then we raced home for the family party.  We arrived just in time for the family to get here.  Then we did it all over again.  Shawn and Joshua were beat by the end of the party.  It was up and into bed by 8:30.

Thanks to everyone who came to his parties.  Thank you for your gifts and your love.

October 16, 2008  Last night we went to the Ravens stadium.   Same as last year we got to og out onto the field and run around while the men acted like allstars.  This year we took Grandaddy.  He seemed to have a good time.  It was too bad that Rob and Grandaddy were not on the same team.  That would have made the evening so much nicer.  But we were on a team with friends from my store and their children, so Shawn hung out with us all night.  That left Rob alone.  Lots of pictures.  Enjoy!

October 5, 2008  I know it has been a long time since I let you know what is going on around here.  Shawn has started another season of Harundale soccer.  He is number 2 this time around.  The team is VERY large- 10 kids.  It is difficult to keep track of everyone.  They are doing pretty good though.

School has been great for Shawn.  His attitude nad behavior have greatly improved.  Ithink the structure is uch better for him and than what he was getting in JIL.  He loves his teachers and has made a couple friends in his class.

Yesterday we all went to Hershey Park.  It was the four of us, Mom-mom and Pop, Uncle Ryan, Aunt Crystal, and Ryan.  We had a good time even though the weather was not wonderful.  The sun finally came out after lunch and it warmed up a little.

August 29, 2008  Today was Shawn's first day at "Big School".  He was very excited this morning.  Then a little nervous on the way there.  Niether of us had any tears, for that we were extremely greatful.  He seemed to have a good day.  Didn't really have muchto say about it.  I'm sure he will, but just not yet.  His teacher Miss Stepien is pretty and she seems very nice.  So hopefully Shawn will be infatuated with her like he is all the other pretty ladies. Joshua wasn't sure what all the fuss was about this morning.  We kept saying that Shawn was going to school, but he didn't nderstand that it was a new school until we got there.  Then he wanted to know why we were leaving Shawn.

Yesterday I bought Joshua a potty seat.  He was very excited about it while we were in Target, but not so much once we got it home.  I don't think he like putting him butt on the hole.  Hopefully he gets used to it soon.  I'll let everyone know.

August 15, 2008  This has been a very busy week for us.

Joshua is two, I still can't believe it.  His party went well.  Everyone seemed to have a good time.  It looked like Christmas in our living room!  Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful gifts.

Then the next day we went to the beach.  Thanks to Mrs. Brenda and Mr. Roy for letting us stay at their condo.  We had great weather and the boys both had a fabulous time.  Lots of pictures for eveyone to enjoy.

July 6, 2007  Happy Fourth of July- a couple days late.

On the third we went to Mom-mom and Pop's house for a get together and then fireworks.  Shawn enjoyed the fireworks, Joshua on the other hand did not.  He as scared to death!  Shaking in Rob's arms and crying.  Loud noises are not his thing.  Once they got back into the house he was fine though.

For the Fourth we went to Aunt Maggie and Uncle Dennis's house like usual.   The pool as the main attraction of course.  Shawn was in just about the entire time.  Joshua had a good time while he was in too.

June 3, 2008  Can you believeit's June already?!  This year has really flown by.  It has been a very busy year for our family.

Shawn is done soccer now- the season really sucked.  But hed fun when he got to play.  All five games and not many more practices.  I think we are going to switch leagues next year for whatever sports he decides to play.  Lake shore will probably be our team.  Starting on Monday Shawn will only be going to school MWF.  To help hget himused to no nap for when he goes to pre-K in the fall- hopefully.  We won't find out about four six more weeks.  Shawn is now riding his big dirt bike without training wheels.  He tinks that is a really big deal

Joshua is starting to talk more clearly everyday.  He says a lot we still don't understand- that really makes him mad- but we are able to grasp a little more every day.  He can now count to three.  Colors still escape him- eveything is blue.  When we go outside Joshua loves to ride his bike with the big boys.  When Rob mows the lawn though he hides behind me in the house.  He does NOT like loud noises.

Rob and I are working everyday either at home or at work.  We put in a very nice flower garden in our front yard.  Everyday one of use goes out to water the grass- we are attempting to get grass in the front yard.  Next on the list for in the hose is painting over all the contractor grade white paint and a ceiling fan in the dining room.
